The True Mate

Chapter 6

*Emery's POV*

As I was eating my breakfast, I heard someone calling my name. But it didn’t sound like anyone I knew. I look around while eating and I don’t see anyone calling me. My best friend, Alice is sitting next to me and she looks like she is having some weird conversation with her wolf. She turned 18 a week ago. The next thing I know, I hear someone laugh and say, “Emery, it’s me, your wolf. You aren’t going to find anyone looking at you because I am the one talking. My name is Sapphire, and I am so glad to finally be able to talk to you.”

AHHH!!! Finally, I am so glad to hear from you. I have been waiting for this moment for like forever. I have to tell Alice about you. I am sure that you and Aliza will be the best of friends as well, just like Alice and I.

As I zone back into the real world and go to turn to Alice. Sapphire starts going crazy in my head. She is pacing back and forth, and it is giving me a headache. I ask her what is the matter and she just howls.

Okay, that is weird. Hey Alice, I got my wolf.

“That’s great! Aliza keeps pacing in my head and is giving me a headache, sorry.” Says Alice.

“Wow, so is Sapphire. I wonder what is going on with them.”

“Aliza says my mate may be near and she just said that since Sapphire is pacing, she may sense your mate as well.” Says Alice.

I tell her, “That’s great for you, but remember, I don’t really want a mate because I don’t want to leave you or my family. Mom and Dad are outside meeting the Alpha’s, let’s go and see who all came.”

As we are walking down the hall, I see some of the Alpha’s walking in already and going to the gathering room. I am overwhelmed with the scent of fresh-cut grass and Pine trees, I look over and see Alice stopped in her tracks as well. We both look over towards the door and two men standing in the doorway looking back at us. The next thing I know, I hear Sapphire say mate as I say it out loud and then everything goes black.
