Jenny hung up the phone and handed the watch to Sophia.

"Ethan, I didn’t expect you to buy such an expensive watch. Where did you get the money to buy it?" Jenny asked.

Sophia looked at Ethan, confused.

Ethan felt slightly annoyed hearing Jenny's question and said, "You're not my wife. I don’t need to explain it to you."

"Sophia, don’t worry. I didn’t touch your money. I bought this watch with my own money. I’ll explain more later, when we’re home," Ethan told his wife.

Sophia nodded, choosing to trust Ethan. After all, he was the man who had been with her for three years—the man she married despite all the pressure from her family.

Seeing the awkward atmosphere, Bobby smiled and said, "Hmm, it seems there’s a misunderstanding. We’re all friends here, so let’s not overthink it. Jenny, it’s getting late. Let’s go for dinner."

Jenny looked at Bobby. The shock she just experienced quickly faded away.

Even though Ethan bought the genuine Richard Mille watch, Jenny still felt uneasy and wondered how this could happen.

"Sophia, do you want to join us? Bobby specially reserved a spot at Hotel Westno for tonight," Jenny said, looking at Sophia.

"Ethan has never taken you to a fancy restaurant for dinner, right?" Jenny asked, with a mocking tone.

Sophia didn’t want to embarrass Ethan any further, and she also didn’t want to get too close to Jenny. So, she shook her head.

"We won’t be going. The movie we booked is about to start," Sophia said.

Ethan smiled and said, "Hotel Westno? Isn’t that the hotel owned by Sarah’s future husband? Sophia, let’s go and join them."

"Sarah’s future husband?" Jenny looked at Sophia with a confused expression.

Sophia explained, "Yes. My sister Sarah’s boyfriend is the son of the owner of Hotel Westno. They just came to our house today to meet my parents."

Jenny’s face immediately changed. She had originally intended to use this dinner to belittle Ethan and show off her superior status. To her surprise, the hotel they were heading to was going to be owned by Sophia’s family.

Sophia smiled and said, "Jenny, you’ll be dating soon. Ethan and I don’t want to be a disturbance."

Sophia tugged on Ethan to leave.

However, Ethan suddenly stopped and asked Bobby, "Bobby, your watch looks nice. I’m curious, did you buy it at an official boutique?"

Bobby smiled proudly and replied, "I bought this watch while working abroad. It cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and it’s a limited edition that’s not available in any country."

Ethan smirked, showing his white teeth. "Really? I suggest you take it to an official boutique for inspection because I think your watch looks like a high-quality imitation. You might have been duped."

Bobby’s expression changed drastically. A brief panic flashed in his eyes.
