Aiden POV

She again walked away from me. I quickly followed her and you know what I see she was walking home. She didn't bring her car, and she didn't even take a cab home. Sighing I went to my car and start following her because I know she won't let me drop her and I want to ensure her safety. After a while I see 3 men cornering her. My hold on the steering wheel tightened. I parked the car on the side away and start walking towards her. I stopped in my tracks when one guy pointed the g*n in her direction. I was so freaking angry. I start walking fast but stopped when I heard them talking.

“Do you think you can scare me with this g*n?” Ella asked with a smirk plastered on her face.

“Yeah you should be because firstly we are greater in number and secondly a chick like you can't outrun us.” the guy said smirking.

“Come on we just want to have some fun.” the second guy said

“You don't know who the f**k I am. Believe me, you don't wanna mess with me,” Ella said in a serious tone.

Then suddenly she snatched the g*n from him and hit it on his head. In a minute all three were lying down severely injured. I was just looking at them with shocked eyes. Then something Ella said which made me even more shocked.

“Believe me I'm bound because of some promises otherwise I would have killed you in a blink of an eye.” she dropped the g*n with them and ran away. I called the ambulance and told them that there are 3 guys severely injured. After that, I start my car and followed Ella. After a while, I reached her home and watched her enter her house. I went to my own home. After taking a long shower I thought about everything. Why she wasn't afraid of the g*n? what promises? She looked trained in everything. The way she holds the g*n like it wasn't the first time. With these thoughts, I went to sleep.

Ella POV

I woke up in the middle of the night because of another nightmare. I went to the kitchen and drank some water. I was glad I still know fighting otherwise I don't know what would have happened. I wasn't sleepy. I went to my room and connect my phone with the speaker and start playing songs. I came across the song "I loved her first". I got tears in my eyes because that was the song my father wants to play for our dance at my wedding, Yeah he used to tell that to a 13-year old me. I smiled at the memory. He loves this song so much that he sometimes sings it to me when I wasn't sleeping. I played that song and start listening to it.

Tears were running down by now. I missed him. Everyone thought that maybe he was in the mafia, so he might have treated us cruelly. No, he was the perfect father. He loved us dearly. To everyone, he was cold, ruthless but to us, he was the sweetest person alive. He would read to me every night or sometimes sing this song to me and told me that he would do so much on my wedding. He played basketball with my brother and me. He was perfect so why? why did you take him away from me? I cried and cried. I don't even know when I fell asleep.

I woke up in the morning with a headache because of all the crying. I went to have a bath and start getting ready for work.

I was wearing a white shirt with a green knee-length skirt. I made a messy bun and I went to the kitchen and made myself a coffee and some breakfast because I woke up early today. After breakfast, I went to work. I greeted Olivia and Stella on my way and told them that we will meet for lunch because they were asking all sort of questions. I was kind of nervous to meet Aiden but I thought that I will pretend as nothing happened. I took a deep breath and went inside.

“Good morning sir” I greeted while putting his coffee on his table.

“Good morning Miss Matthews,” he said without looking up.

“Sir you have a meeting at 10 with Wilson's corp about the new project and that's all for today,” I said

“Ok, you can go now to miss Mathews.

Finally, its weekend tomorrow. It was quite a hectic week because of the new project. It has been a week since that club night and nothing unusual had happened. I went home. oh, my sweet home. I take a shower and order some Chinese. After that, I got a call from Stella.

“Hey girl”

“Ok listen I want to ask you something.”

“Go on”

“So there is this Noah birthday party next weekend at his house and I want you to come. Olivia and her husband are also coming.”

“Noah as in Mr knight friend. Are you two dating and why didn't you tell me.” I asked.

“We are still on a dating basis, not boyfriend girlfriend I don't trust him much because you know he is a playboy,” she said with a hint of sadness in her voice

“Just listen to what your heart tells you and be careful. You will be fine.” I said.

“Thanks, you know you and Olivia are my only friends and you both know how to make me smile. Ok but listen to the theme of the party is red and black. Red for girls and black for men.”

“Ok count me in. I will talk to you later boss is calling me”.

“ok bye”

I cut the call and called Mr.knight

“Hello Ella”

“Yes sir”

“um we have to go to a charity ball tomorrow and I want you to accompany me,” he said. Ugh no!

“oh ok what is the timing,” I asked curiously.

“I will pick you up at 7:00 and one more things. you are accompanying me as my date.”

“W-what,” I asked mentally scolding myself for stuttering.

“Yes you will accompany me if you want to keep your job,” he said coldly. the nerve of this guy. I wanted to argue but decided against it. He is one hell of a stubborn man.

“Ok fine do I have to get a dress?” I asked dryly.

“Yes use the company card,” he said. Even is he didn't tell me that I was still buying it from the company's card. Im not gonna waste my money for a fancy dress.

“Ok goodnight sir,” I said

“Call me Aiden when we are not at work,” he said.

“ok... Aiden” I said and end the call.
