The torches began to light ahead of them as Sephi led Roxy deeper into the cave. Cerberus dutifully trotted along behind the pair as they made the twists and turns to reach the back of the cave. Sephi stopped at the smooth stone wall and smiled at Roxy.
“Are you positive you want to do this?” Sephi asked.
“Yes. But I’m scared. I know you would not hurt me, but the idea of another world or universe with a completely different life terrifies me,” Roxy admitted.
“Try not to be scared. When I first went to the underworld, I was scared too. I didn’t know what to expect, but, for the most part, it is the same as here or anywhere else. The only difference is the atmosphere unless you have a job involving taking the souls to their new homes.”
