My Knight In Shining Armour

His hefty hand took hold of the ponytail of my jet-black hair, forcing my head down into the enormous swimming pool. I struggled to draw breath and hold my breath from inhaling water into my lungs, but it was of no use. He kept my head steady-state in the pool. I was so helpless and feeble, I couldn't even move or tilt my head or make an effort to raise it up. His manly hand kept pressing me down. His hand on my head was as taut as a rock it was impossible to lift my head up. The pool felt so frosty, its chillness was piercing into my flesh and I got easily allergic to cold water. Ever since I was five, I have stayed away from any cold substances. A slight touch on my body could harm or hurt me. Whenever I start having an allergy attack, my face suddenly bloats like a balloon and my cheeks become very red and sore. Also, my body starts jerking non-stop, and crimson blood starts flowing out of my nostrils and would not stop streaming unless I'm dropped in a tub of very warm water. Leo knew this, he knows everything about me, including any little secrets I have. I never hid things from him, he was my husband after all. He knew even the tiniest detail of my life. My allergy attack is a rare health condition, and my Dad loathes me because I wasn’t normal like my other siblings. He has always been ashamed of me since birth, of introducing me to the public and the press as his daughter. Also, he rarely goes out with me in fear that I would humiliate him in public if I start having an allergy attack. He is an important figure in the city of New York; a wealthy business tycoon. Having me as a daughter is just bad luck to his fame, and to his career. He barely called me daughter, he treated me as an outsider, and he often belittled me. There was a moment he lost his temper while I was having an allergy attack, and he called me demonic. And after I recovered soon after my allergy attack, I tried to approach him, “Papa, papa, “ I was so distraught and wanted to feel a bit of comfort in his arms however, when I made an effort to embrace him, he shoved me away like I were a mere object and my knees shuddered till I fell helplessly at the floor. And when I looked up at him, he pointed at me with an air of disgust, “don't you ever try to touch me. You are not my daughter.” His words broke me, it felt like dozens of bullets had hit my heart. I was so stunned by my father's anger, I felt like the man standing in front of me was a cold, and mean man. I wailed to him as he strides out of the hall, “Papa! Papa!” He never turned, nor paused to look at me. I felt so worthless. My head had been under water for almost a while now, it was almost time for my allergies to start acting up. Leo was starting to get impatient, he snapped, “die you b***h! Die!” Before my allergies could start reacting through my body, I instantly slipped into a coma as my lungs had consumed a huge mass of water, and I couldn't breathe anymore. Leo observed my body was no longer moving, and a smile played at the corner of his lips sensing I was already dead, and when he tugged me out of the pool, he just dropped me on the floor and left me there. He was approaching his Porsche truck in the parking lot and was almost driving out of the mansion when he dialled Attorney Bayes. “Attorney.., my wife is dead. Now, you can give me full ownership of all of her wealth. By law, all her assets worth millions go to me since I was her husband.” he let out a chuckle. “What happened to Ms Lynn?” “She met with an accident, and she is now dead. Now, will you turn over all of her assets to me?” “well, I can’t!” “why can't you?” Lee arched his brow. “she has already willed all of her assets to her family.” “what! But I’m her husband, and our properties are conjugal.” “only Ms Lynn can rewrite her will. For now, there is nothing I can do.” “If Lynn changes her will, putting all of her assets under my name, will I then have everything that is hers?” “definitely! But, since she is now dead, all of her assets goes to her family.” Fuck! Lee exploded in rage, and he flung his phone at the floor in frustration. “oh my God! Lynn can't die yet, “ he was quivering in anxiousness, “I need her, I need her.” He ran back to me, and when he checked my pulse, he noticed my pulse was so weak, he got frightened and was hoping he still has an opportunity to save me. He folded his fists pressing my chest trying to perform a C P R, and eventually, after several trials, I woke up coughing out a lot of water. “good, you're awake now.” I panicked soon as I listened to his voice, and I was terrified he was going to attempt to kill me once again. I wanted to go away from him, but I was so feeble and listless I couldn't even move an inch. I was not fully recuperated, and I unexpectedly felt my body sloping downwards till I laid on the floor going unconscious. Lee panicked, and howled, wake up! Get up you b***h! Several minutes after. My eyes fluttered open as my consciousness returned, and I saw myself in my bedroom. I groaned as I tried to sit up and memories of Lee shoving my head into a pool came flooding in, I became so agitated, and edgy petrified he was going to kill me. I wanted to get off of bed to flee out of my room, and I unexpectedly felt his hand on my neck pressing me down into the bed. I did not notice him at first by my bed. He had been watching me waiting patiently for the moment I woke up. “let me go!” “why will I?” I tried to pull his hands off my neck. I was helpless against him, his hands cuffed my neck so tightly and were so taut I gave up. “Leo…” I gasped for breath. “I tried to kill you earlier, but it was worthless. I want you dead, but not yet. First, you have to transfer ownership rights of all of your assets to me.” “you psycho! I will do no such thing.” I scowled at him. “you will have to, “ he squeezed my neck even more tightly. I almost choked and fought hard to breathe, “I did not resuscitate you for nothing. You better will all of your assets to me!” he demanded authoritatively. “stop this. Please, I beg you.” I pleaded, my voice was so shaky it came out raspy. He drew his hand off me, and he flung a heavy slap across my face, I cringed in intense pain. My cheek almost bled, his sharp nails had slit my skin. You b***h! He snapped, and stormed out of the room. It was 7:08 in the cold evening, and it felt almost like it's been three days already. Leo has locked me up in my bedroom. He bound my hands, and feet with heavy chains so I won't be able to escape or flee through the windows, or the doors. He did not serve me any meal throughout the morning, I was so famished. My once vibrant eyes seemed so dull and weary, and their usual sparkle dimmed by a veil of distress. Also, my lips, once full and rosy in the morning, appeared very parched and pale. My hunger was so insufferable, I felt like my whole body had lost its vitality. With a groan, I tried to sit up and my muscles protested with stiffness. It was as if every fibre of me resisted all attempts to move as if I have been still for so long. The effort to rise sent a wave of dizziness crashing over me causing me to falter and sit back in my chair. I wished to have even just a sip of water, and munch even just a slice of burger, Leo snarled at me when I pleaded with him earlier, “you won't eat or drink anything unless you sign all your assets under my name.”
