Hesitantly my hands hold onto hers. I was scared. This had to be the scariest ordeal I have ever faced. Every eye in the room focusing on us. There was a pin drop silence engulfing the entire room. All movement coming to a still. All of it stopping to shine a spotlight on Alexandra and I.
All this made me nervous. Why couldn’t the whole world disappear, but they all had to concentrate on us. Alexandra stares at me too, her eyes cold but expectant of what would happen next. I could see I flicker of hope in her dark irises.
