Bassan shook his head. Why was he here? The girl’s words troubled him. Why had he risked everything to come to this planet?
He scanned the compound, filling by the minute with injured, innocent people, desperate for a better life. That was his purpose. He was here to save these people. And the sole way he could do it resided in the schematics of the probe.
