Alpha Chase and his Beautiful Witch

Chapter Seven

Chase

Kai and I had just got back from our morning run with the pack warriors. It was a tough one, but our warriors persevered.  I am so proud to be their next Alpha, with Kai by my side as our Beta we will be invincible.  Our current Beta, Paul never found his mate and decided against having children once he knew that there were two wolves to take over the Alpha and Beta position.  Kai is not only my brother, but my best friend too.  When we moved out of the pack house we decided to build a house we could both share with our mates.  We are hoping that our mates will be close so that we can stay living together.  Just thinking of the idea of finding my mate makes parts of my body react.  I have never been attracted to any She-wolf and the idea of being with anyone besides my mate makes me feel sick.  I want to meet my mate so badly.  I have been waiting for the last few years, just hoping that fate would bring us together.  

I am torn from my thoughts as I notice our father waiting for us in our kitchen.  Both of us immediately looked at each other, it must be serious if he was here so early, waiting for us.  

Our father is the most amazing Alpha, him and my mom were both born into this pack and were childhood friends.  According to my grandparents they were inseparable as children, they always suspected that one day they would be mates.  My mom, Shelley, was the daughter of my grandfather's Gamma, they only had one daughter so the title moved to his cousin who was James' father.  My dad is well respected by everyone in the pack, no one has ever challenged him for leadership as he leads as he lives, with kindness, fairness but always firm.  

“Morning boys, how was your run?”

“Good” Kai answered

“I suppose you want to know what I am doing here so early in the morning.  Don’t worry, your mother has not kicked me out yet”  He smirks.  We both began to chuckle.  My dad always knows how to break the tension.  

“I need to talk to you both about something quite urgent, please sit down, you can shower as soon as we are finished.”  He points to the chairs across the way from him as he finishes talking.  

“Last night, James my Gamma came to speak to me.  His brother in law - the Beta of the Blue Wave Pack in South Africa, needed to leave his pack urgently and was seeking refuge in our pack.”  He paused for a minute to allow us to begin processing what he was saying.  Leaving a pack and seeking refuge in another pack, especially if you are ranked, has to mean that something terrible is going on. 

 “His wife is a witch and their daughters, Emily and Cara, are the foretold witches of the Lavarose”.  We both gasp, the power of the Lavarose witches are meant to be the most powerful witches ever to be born.  “Up until now, they have managed to keep it a secret, very recently the Alpha’s two sons have found out about their powers, they have rejected their mates and are going to force these girls to mate with them.  The two sons also arranged for their fathers death, so there is no one to protect these girls from being forced to be mated.”  A growl escapes my mouth, no one has the right to force themselves on a woman.  Kai and I have been brought up to respect the females in our pack.  To be role models that mates are a gift and worth waiting for.  I hear my father continue.  “Of course I agreed to help, I have known Beta Jonathan for a long time, his sister is James' mate.  He has come here numerous times on holiday and has always behaved as a man should.  He is giving up everything to ensure that his girls are safe.”  Kai and I were both nodding as my father completed his sentence.  He will lose his rank and become a common wolf in our pack, but a man should always protect his own.  

“What would you like us to do father?” I say standing up from my chair.  For some reason my fathers words have rattled me.  I am taking this too personally but have no idea why. I feel like I want to save these girls and destroy anyone who has hurt them or even thought of hurting them.  I can see out of the corner of my eye that Kai is responding in the same way as me.  My father seems a bit surprised but then a smile crosses his face.  “Maybe these girls will be your mate?” he says with a grin. 

As soon as his words are out my heart begins to race, what if that’s true, my wolf has been going crazy all morning as if something big is about to happen.  “Whatever the outcome”, my father continues “I expect you to show compassion and respect for them.  They have had a traumatic experience and will probably be scared of what our decision will be.  If they are your mates, you may show them that you are.  If they are not I expect you to keep your distance while showing the concern and respect of the next Alpha and Beta of this pack!”

“Understood!!” We both reply.  We knew that my father meant business.  If he was agreeing to protect these girls, he would protect them till his dying breath, even from us.  

“Now go and shower, we will leave in 20 minutes”.  Kai and I walked to the different parts of our house and got ready for our meeting.  Throughout my shower my heart was racing, what if my waiting was finally over?

The drive over to James place seemed to take forever when in reality it was less than 10 minutes.  James and Casey liked to live a bit further out, enjoying the tranquility of the quiet in that area.  I had always liked them both, especially their very cute, very naughty little twins.  They were always getting themselves into trouble, pretty similar as to how James was as a kid.  

When we arrived my wolf felt like it was going crazy, I was doing everything I could to calm it down, but I could feel he was on the surface waiting to break through.  When I entered the house I was hit with the most beautiful smell I have ever smelt.  It smelt like honey and dewdrops, something I wanted to smell all day.  My wolf eventually took over and began searching for the smell.  I could hear my father calling me, but with my wolf in charge, there was no stopping me.  

Suddenly, there she was, a vision of beauty walking down the steps.  But something strange started to happen, she looked as if she was in shock, her beautiful green eyes became darker and flames began to ignite from her hands.  My wolf ran towards her before I could do anything I caught her in my arms.  I pulled her close to my chest so that she could hear my heartbeat.  Slowly but surely she began to calm down. 

 As I held her I whispered in her ear ‘mine’.  She looked up to face me, the greens of her eyes the colour of emeralds, her black hair the colour of night.  The girl who had visited my dreams, her skin was perfect, slightly tanned and smooth, the thoughts I was thinking would be better suited to a naughtly magazine than where I was standing.  “Hello my beautiful mate”, she tried to move but tripped again.  I managed to catch her as she melted into my powerful arms.  

We are both pulled out of our daze by her fathers loud booming voice. Emily, her name was Emily, a more perfect name could ever have been told.  It slipped off my tongue as if I had said it a million times before. I wanted to do a lot more with my tongue than just say her name.  I see her slightly blushing, I wonder if she is thinking the same things as me.   I reach out for her hand, she places her small smooth hand in mine.  The sparks and the tingles running through my skin are nothing I have ever felt before.  

We all move towards the lounge.  I see her sister tap the seat next to her, she immediately sits next to her taking her hand so naturally.  I am so relieved and Kai mindlinks me “I am so glad they are close”.  I nod my head in agreement. 

 I take the seat next to her and put my arm around her shoulders.  My wolf is howling inside, we have the most beautiful mate that ever existed. My mind takes over as pictures of me taking my time to pleasure her fill every part of my brain.  She is mine and no one else will ever be able to make her feel the way I will.  I want her to be so intoxicated by me that she screams my name for the entire pack to hear.   I am pulled from my very s****l thoughts as I hear her father say “my girls can read minds……”.  What, she can see what I am thinking!!! I look down at my gorgeous Emily to see her blushing madly.  “I don’t mind you knowing what I am thinking” I say with a huge grin.  She gives me a gentle slap, but I can see a tiny smile creeping onto her face.  My mate is truly beautiful.  Her father continues with his story.  My wolf keeps on growling, he wants to be let out and kill these Alphas, not quickly, but slowly, making sure that they will feel the toruture of dying slowly.   The thought of them forcing our mates to be with them in a way that they should only be with us is making my blood boil.  

Once their father is finished I can feel the emotion of my mate, I know that she is feeling scared, scared that I will reject her as keeping her might put my pack at risk.  What she doesn’t realise is that without her I will never be the Alpha I am meant to be, without her love and strength  my pack and I will become weak.  She is the part of me that has been missing for so long. I lean over and say “I know what you are thinking, I have spent the last few years searching for you, now that I have you there is no way that I am letting you go.” My lips grazed her cheek, leaving little sparks as I moved down her neck.  I inhaled her scent, calming myself with every breath.  I hear my father talking about it being a privilege but I am lost in her scent until I hear him say mating ceremony and how it would be better to do it sooner rather than later. Just the mention of mating has my wolf moving to the surface again. When I look at my mate, I know that her and her sister are speaking telepathically.  They both turn towards their father and then I hear the sweetest voice that has ever spoken the English Language “Dad, what are your thoughts?”.  A huge smile crosses my face, my mate has shown her love and respect for her father.  You can feel the connection between them, her compassion and understanding of relationships will make her a great Luna.  I am taken from my thoughts when I hear her father agree.  My smile could not get any bigger, a light slap lands on my leg as my mate realises what is going through my mind.
