KYLE
“Kean, just take that thing down!” I mind link him, but his wolf Cobalt just stayed put.
“Not now,” Kean added.
“Just wait Kyle, can’t you see it’s still looking around?” Pierce added as his wolf, Kaden stalked beside Kato. They were right, if it notices us then we’d lose a big game.
We are all on our wolf forms stalking this one huge deer we found thirty minutes ago. I took the weekends off because of the party that’s going to happen tomorrow. My mother and the Omegas at the packhouse were busy taking care of the arrangements and decorations, it was quite noisy and crowded. My parents planned the party before I even got to have my say on it but I actually let it happen this time. I got a really good feeling that I get to meet my mate.
“NOW!” Right when the deer finally let down its guard, I mind-linked both Kean and Pierce to pounce and charge at it. All three of our wolves came out from the bushes and mauled the deer straight down. I felt pity for it but it is what is and it’s the circle of life, it’s been a while since we ever hunted on our wolf forms and Kato was more than excited to hear that we were going hunting today. The size was enough to feed Kato, Cobalt, and Kaden. After they finished, there was nothing left of the deer. It was all bone.
“We should do this more often,” Pierce said as his wolf Kaden was chewing the deer’s ankle with the hoof sticking out of his mouth.
“Yeah, the raw feeling of being the hunter makes both Cobalt and I excited,” Kean added as his wolf Cobalt was licking his paws clean from deer blood.
“I agree, even Kato got hyped when I told him we're going hunting today.” Kato stood up and drank water from the nearby stream. Without knowing that Kaden was ready to pounce on Kato to scare the s**t out of him. Kaden pounced in on Kato and sure enough, Kato got startled and fell down the stream and got wet, he hurriedly climbed up and shook off the water on his fur. Both Kaden and Cobalt were laughing when they saw a wet Kato. I usually don’t allow this behavior to the other pack members but these two were like brothers so I didn’t mind. Kato got really pissed and was ready to charge at Kaden.
“Looks like the Alpha lost his touch,” Pierce told me as his wolf Kaden taunted Kato to attack him.
“Bring it Delta. We’ll see about that.” I said sternly.
Kaden immediately charged at Kato, and both of our wolves were biting and nipping at each other, rolling around in the forest. I knew that Kato would win this fight in a snip, he’s the Alpha, and he’s twice the size as Kaden but Kaden wouldn’t give up without a good fight, he was a damn strong wolf. The nipping went on for a solid ten minutes when Kato saw a good opportunity and bit on Kaden’s foot and pinned him down, he tried to get up but Kato was too strong so he immediately called quits. We didn’t have any serious injuries; it was just like training for both of us in our wolf forms. In human form, we just practice Krav Maga and a little bit of mixed martial arts.
“That was a good spar,” I told Pierce. As we headed back to the nearby stream where Cobalt was waiting.
“Yeah, but Kato is one big bad wolf,” Pierce said as Kaden took a sip of water on the stream.
After a few minutes, we decided to go back to the packhouse and check how are things going on in there, I figured that my mother should be finished with the preparations by now. When we got there, we shifted back to our human forms, wore some clothes that were already prepared by the entrance, and entered the house. My mother really did a good job with the decorations, it was top-notch. The whole packhouse looks so elegant and classy, I saw her helping an Omega arrange flowers.
“Mother, the place looks amazing. How did you manage to get all of this done in hours?” I asked as I kissed her by the cheek.
“Aunty Christine.” Kean and Pierce, greet her.
“Ah! I am just in luck!” She said with excitement.
“Why mother?” I asked completely surprised.
“I wanted to go to the mall today to pick up more decorations for the house. Your father is nowhere to be seen.” I knew where this was going and I had to make an excuse to avoid it. I really didn’t like shopping.
“Aunty, Pierce, and I actually had some more training to do. So, we're a little bit busy hehehe” Kean said as he and Pierce slowly backed out. These motherfuckers completely made their own excuses and didn’t include me, so I did something.
“I would absolutely love to help you with shopping mother. Kean, Pierce cancel your ‘TRAINING’ today and come with us.” I told them as they bowed their heads into submission and groaned. “Yes, Alpha,” I smirked at them with victory.

AMARA
Mother and I were taking a break at Dairy Queen, as I took off one of my shoes, I could see that my feet were sore for spending almost three hours walking with my mother, even though that I was wearing my most comfortable she walks fast as hell and heck she’s even wearing wedges. Damn, she really goes frenzy when she goes to the mall.
“Mom, could you slow down a bit? My feet are red sore.” I said as I scoop myself a chocolate sundae into my mouth.
“You really should get out more often, sweetie. That wasn’t even half of it.”
“WHAT?! What could we possibly buy more than what we have?” I have to admit that our family was rich, we have a separate card for family savings and family spending, but I really don’t have the knack on how and where to spend the family cash. Sure, I sometimes go out and buy branded clothes but I limit myself to maybe two to three pairs and that’s it. Just our three hours walk already got us seven bags of designer clothing and high heels, most of them were for my mother and the only items I got was this really cute knitted sweater from Zara and one pair of Follies Strass Louboutins; my mother had to talk me into wearing heels when we got inside the store so we settled with the Follies Strass pair which had only 3 inches of heel and was actually quite comfortable but looking at the price tag made my eyes pop. We could have just bought similar ones to the least expensive stores.
“We just have one more place to go to before we go home.” My mother added as she finished her strawberry sundae.
“Where would that be? I hope it’s not too far away. I don’t think my feet could ever take it anymore.” I groaned.
“Just trust me.” She said as she stood up from the table and signaled me to go. I didn’t even get to finish my ice cream.
We eventually stopped at Forever 21 and chose some dresses that I would wear to Silverhide tomorrow. It took us a while to find the dress that suits me really well, we finally had two options left both I haven’t tried yet. It was either this lilac-colored off-shoulder dress that was lacy but just enough for me to walk around and this yellow-colored spaghetti strap dress that had just enough length to show my feet. I had a good feeling about the lilac-colored one since I was the one who found it rather than my mom.
“Sweetie, are you done?” My mom called me from outside the fitting room.
“Just a second,” I tell her.
When I finally zipped the back of the dress, I knew I was right, the dress was gorgeous, it fit perfectly and accentuated my curves. The front had a v-line that showed a little bit of my cleavage but it was covered with a thin layer of lace to hide it. The back was just enough to be both revealing and conservative and the sleeves were just enough to cover my arms and elbows.
“Ame, you look gorgeous,” My mother said as I got out of the dressing room.
“I love it, Mom,” I told her as she engulfs me in a really tight embrace and happily shrieked. I really needed this girl time with my mom, it slowly made me forget about what happened yesterday. Right as we were finally finished buying all the things we needed and we started heading towards the exit, I caught on a strong aroma of Juniper and Mahogany.

KYLE
We just arrived at the mall, right after I forced Kean and Pierce to come with me and help my mother buy more decorations in the house. These motherfuckers thought they could make an excuse and escape me. Well, not on my watch hahaha.
“So, what do you need mother?” I asked.
“Just more vases for flowers, champagne glasses, and wine.”
“At least there’s booze,” Kean added.
“I’d be happy to choose the FINEST wine Aunty Chris- OW!” I elbowed Pierce knowing that he doesn’t really mean WINE.
It really didn’t take that long for my mother to choose what kind of vases, glasses, or decoration that she needed since she only wanted a few more of the same designs that she already put at home. The last thing that we needed was a few bottles of wine and we were done. Kean and Pierce were really egging on my mother to buy hard drinks for the party, they tried to convince her that it’s good for the guests to loosen up a bit. I was always around ready to whack these fools out of their shenanigans, we just needed light wine for a formal occasion, we aren’t on a wild wolf party.
“Thank you for shopping, please have a good day!” The cashier told us as we were already checked out and ready to go.
“Kean do you have the glasses?” I asked.
“All here.”
“Okay, Pierce, do you have the vases?”
“All secure,” Pierce replied.
“And I have the rest. Let’s go.”
Right when we were about to head to the exit, a faint smell of vanilla, patchouli, and roses caught my nose. It’s as if I was inhaling a Goddess’s scent. I hurriedly ran to the exit and out of the parking area to find what it was or who it was. It was fading really quickly and Kato was excited in my head.
“YO! KYLE! WAIT UP MAN!” it was either Pierce or Kean yelling at me to slow down, I left them with my mother.
I finally got out to the exit only to find out that I was too late, the scent already faded and drifted away into thin air it’s as if it just left. Pierce, Kean, and my mother finally caught up to me as I stand dumbfounded at the parking lot.
“What has gotten into you, Kyle?” My mother angrily said. Apparently, I left the box of heavy wine which Kean was carrying while also holding the box of glasses.
“I don’t know, I’m sorry mother. Something just got my attention and I just had to go.” I said as my mother went in the car.
“What was it, man? Why did you just run like that?” Pierce asked.
“I smelled something.”
“Smelled what fam? Say it”
“I couldn’t understand it since it was really faint and when I got here it just disappeared like it just left,” I said as I brushed my hair up.
“Well, whatever it is it’s gone now. Let’s get going.” Pierce added as he went to the driver’s seat.
“Yeah, whatever it is,” I say to myself.
