Finally Found You

CHAPTER VIII

AMARA

I caught on a strong aroma of Juniper and Mahogany.

It was the manliest scent that my nose ever caught. Taryn instantly purred in excitement. Can this possibly happen? Is this a second chance? Is my mate human? I just got rejected last night there’s no way I could have a second chance this fast, or worse, what if I get rejected again? I had so many questions in my head, and I couldn’t understand what I felt. It was either I find out who bears this magnificent scent or go home and avoid everything. I admit being rejected ripped part of my soul out of my body and I didn’t even have the energy to eat or even have a goodnight’s sleep, just thinking about another heartbreak made up my mind and decided that I needed to go home.

I and my mother were already in the parking lot loading up the shopping bag in the backseat when Taryn suddenly whines and tells me.

“Ame, stay here a little longer.” She pleaded.

“Why? We’re leaving Taryn.” I tell her.

“Somebody’s coming, just let us see who it is.” She told me as I picked up the aroma once more, but this time it was getting stronger it’s as if it was getting closer and closer. Part of me wanted to stay glued to the place it was probably because of Taryn, she really insisted that we stay there for a while. I almost decided to stay when my mother honked on the horn and scared the s**t out of me.

“Ame! Why are you just standing there? Get in.” I hear her yell inside of the car, apparently, I was standing in the way and my mother couldn’t get the car out.

“Sorry, Taryn but we have to go,” I tell my wolf and I could hear her whimper as I shut her off and got into the car.

“What were you doing spacing out like that Ame?” My mother asked as she starts the car and slowly drives.

“It’s nothing mom.”

“Is something bothering you? You can tell me you know.”

“I’m a hundred percent sure I’m okay mom, nothing to worry about. I thought I just left something that’s all” I tried my best to give an answer and not make it sound like I’m making an excuse because I am.

“All right, let’s go home then.” She said as she steps on the accelerator driving off.

I still picked up the amazing scent even though that we are already at a distance, but the further we drive out of the mall, the scent slowly faded. I leaned on the window and looked out.

“What a day”

When we got home from shopping, I immediately went to my room and quickly changed into the most comfortable clothes that I could get my hands on. I finally put on a grey tank-top and matching comfy grey shorts, I tied my long hair into a messy bun completely exposing my neck which gave me a refreshing feeling. I plopped myself onto my bed inhaling the sweet smell of newly washed sheets. I flipped over and reached for my phone on the bedside table and thought that I should call Emily, I wanted to let her know about everything that recently happened to me. It’s been a while since I’ve called her.

*RING…..RING….RING….* No answer.

*RING…..RING….RING….* No answer again.

“Huh? One more.” I tried to contact her once more.

*RIIINNNGG….*

“AMEEEEEE!” She finally picked up.

“EEMMMMMMM!” I screamed at her in return.

“I’m so sorry I didn’t get to answer your call, I was so busy doing my activities, our professor isn’t really giving us any breaks.”

“That’s a bummer, and here I thought college was fun,” I reply.

“Hey! College is fun, Ame.”

“Oh yeah? What kind of fun?” I smirked as I question her knowing that she’s the same introvert as I am.

“Y-you knowwwwwww……”

“Know what? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA” I just laughed, knowing her, she doesn’t really do parties and just studies instead, just like me. Except for the study part, she was the one who helped me through some of my home works.

“Ammmmmmeeeeeee….. I don’t have time to do other things you know! I just want to study instead of going out!” She whined. “So, how about you? How’s everything going with you?”

“Oh, everything is fine.” I was taken aback, her asking me how I was made me remember why I called her.

“What’s with that tone? I know you, Ame, what’s wrong?” I could feel the change in her voice from being so energetic to being concerned. I told her every single detail about everything that happened. From last night, how the way I and Brian found each other and how he rejected me, and when I felt something strange just earlier at the mall in the parking lot.

“Damn, he rejected you? What kind of fuckery influenced him to reject you?”

“That’s one thing I don’t know Em, I didn’t ask anymore. I was too painful.” I reply lowly.

“Well, Ame if your wolf feels that there could possibly be a second chance. Take it. It happens rarely so there must be a good reason why your wolf wanted you to stay in the parking lot but I don’t know though. That’s just my guess.” Em was right.

“She’s right you know,” Taryn added.

“I guess, you’re the one giving me advice this time Em, I remember when I was the one who gave those to you when you felt down in high school.” I smile and chuckled.

“Oh, yeah. HAHAHAHAHAHA but seriously though, if your wolf is having a good feeling about something don’t hold it back. It could be worthwhile.”

“Sure Em. I’ll try to do that.” I reassure her.

“That’s good to hear but I’m so sorry Ame, I still have a class to go to in 10 minutes. I’ll catch up with you again!”

“Okay bye Em!”

“BYEEEEE---" *beep*

“Damn I never thought that my wolf and my best friend would have similar opinions about second chances. I guess I’m just afraid to be rejected again.” I say to myself as I put my phone down beside me and lie down on my bed once more. I swear, the Omegas did a really good job on these sheets. What softener did they use? Because I could feel myself slowly drift away into dreamland.

 KYLE

The scent that I picked up at the mall kept lingering in my body, mind, and soul. Goddess who could smell so wonderful and angelic? I sat on my office chair pondering about the mystery person that caught my full attention.

“f**k” was all I could say while I lightly ball my hands into a fist thinking I should’ve run fast enough to catch whoever it was. I was already so invested thinking about it when suddenly Kean and Pierce barged into my office which scared me shitless.

“KYLE!!!!!!!” Both entered suddenly.

“Goddess, what the f**k?! Don’t you ever knock?” I growl.

“Chill man, we have something to tell you,” Pierce told me with a big smile on his face while Kean kept giving him elbows.

“What is it? It better be important.” I pinch the bridge of my nose, damn these two are like children sometimes.

“Kyle, you won’t believe it but, we both found our mates.” Kean finally told me as they both stood in front of me.

“What?! The both of you? How? That’s really good news but how?” I reacted.

“Well Pierce and I here were orienting the newly employed Omegas for the party tomorrow when we both instantly found our mates, they were twins can you believe that?!” Damn, just like that.

My mind started to go all over the place when I heard the news, both of my strongest men already found their mates at an instant. I was in shock and envy. It made me think about my own mate as well and how would she look like if we ever meet one day. I’d be more than happy to treat her like a queen and bang her hard until she sees the universe. I was spacing out when Kean tried to get my attention.

“Bro? You there?” He flicked his fingers in front of my face.

“Well s**t, boys. I believe that congratulations are in order. What are their names?” I said to both of them.

“I’m mated to Mary White” Pierce stated.

“And I’m mated to Diane White” Kean added.

“You better take care of your mates. They are Goddess’s gift to you both.” I tell them.

“Of course, we will. We’ve waited long enough to find them and now they’re here.” Kean stated. Just like me, Kean and Pierce believed in abstinence and in the Moon Goddess’s plan to give us each other’s mates. Though both of them are really hardcore party animals and they like to drink, they didn’t sleep around.

“Well we better get going Kyle, we still have to orient more Omegas for your party tomorrow Princess ahahaha” Kean and Pierce chuckled as they headed out of my office.

I shook my head at them, why did I make them my Beta and Delta that I don’t know. I do know that they are both good and kind men that truly love their pack and I have no doubt that they are going to love their mates truly. Just knowing my two best men already met theirs made me more eager to meet mine. I look out the window and sigh.

“Goddess is testing us isn’t she Kato?” I talked to my wolf.

“We just need to wait. I have a strong feeling that mother just wants us to be patient.”

“For how long? It’s already long enough and that scent at the mall, it had to be.” I lean on the window.

“We were able to wait that long too. The party is tomorrow evening so we’ll just have to wait and see.” Kato tells me.

“Well, let the party commence.” I continue to look out the window as I reply to my wolf.
