When She Cries

August 25, 2019 "Mrs. Castro, can you tell me what happened that night your husband was murdered?" I am sitting in a chair, inside a dim lited room. My face was pale, I had bruises all over my body and my clothes were drenched in blood. I was in a state of bewilderment. All the anger, sadness, frustrations that lived by me came rushing and I can't seem to properly address these emotions. I stayed silent, trying to think of what may have happened. I can't seem to validate the question, whether or not I am responsible for his death. "I don't remember." the only words my mouth could utter at that very moment. Born and raised in the beautiful city of Cebu. I came from a very well-off family. My mother works as the CEO of one of the finest establishments in the city, while my father is one of the top entrepreneurs in town. It was lucky of me to be able to be provided with all the luxuries in life, but despite all these, I was raised to always keep both feet on the ground. I can still paint a clear vivid picture of my childhood. I used to play street games with my friends, used to hate vegetables, and doing homework. How I get to complain about sleeping during the afternoon and sneaking out when my father is not watching just to visit my friends in the neighborhood. The rush of going home when you gained stars at school, and how happy at times I'll be receiving my rewards for it. I am used to a life with fewer worries when all you need to be worried about is what to eat and what to bring to school the next day. I was able to witness how love can be so real, I can see how my parents show love and care, how to use this emotion to nurture me in becoming the person they want me to be. Just with that, I am secure, I am assured that I am loved, and I am happy. But of course, every family has its own share of struggles, as for me we came at our lowest point when my father was murdered. I can't explain how hard it is for me to lose a father and a best friend at the same time. He was my confidant, my shield, the only person who understands me. I can never imagine a life without him, he has been part of every phase of my achievements. He was and will always be my inspiration. Not long after that, came a series of unfortunate events, we lost my father's business, and we are buried in debts. My mother decided to leave for some selfish reasons, which by the way I hated her for doing that. Life was not on our favor. But still despite all that I remained motivated. I happened to discover my passion for vlogging, which later on became my profession. Not to brag, I have quite a huge number of followers who happened to be with me from the very beginning of my career. I happened to discover a platform where I can freely post anything, and be able to share my life experiences as well as to inspire my viewers. I started to regain back the life I was supposed to be having. Starting to gain new friends, and develop a hobby of traveling. Vlogging has opened a new exciting chapter of my life. My channel simply narrates the beginning of my life.
