School Sports And Bullies

"Hey Smellalot. Where's my food?" Jack said. Jack was one of the bullies I had to deal with everyday of school for as long as I could remember. "Hi Jack. No I have no food today so please leave me alone." I said trying to walk pass Jack and his gang. "You what?" Jack said blocking my way. "You heard me, I don't have food today Jack." I said looking him straight in the eye. "You will pay for that Smellalot" Freddy said. Freddy was Jack's second in command. 

Jack punched me in the stomach hard and forced all the wind out of my body. "Like I said Smellalot you will pay for that." Jack said close to my ear. "Is that all you got Jacky?" I said watching Jack while wiping blood from my mouth and grinning. "What did you say?" Jack said. "I said is that all you got Jacky?" I said again. "You little b***h, I'm going to make you suffer for this!" Jack shouted running and aiming his fists at me. I ducked and he ran straight into the nearest wall. "b***h! I'll kill you!" Jack cried out of anger. "You have to get me first Jacky" I said standing on wobbly legs.

"What is all the fuss about out here?" We heard Lady Vickers say as she caught sight of us. "Nothing Mrs, we where just playing with Smella - I mean Charlotte. "Dear Lord Charlotte, what happened to you face my dear? You come with me this instant." Said lady V. "Yes ma'am" I said ignoring the buzz of angry boys behind me. "Now my dear, what happened outside just now?" Lady V asked looking very worried. "Ma'am the same as everyday. Jack and his gang of stupids likes to take my food for the day and hurt me when I refuse to give it to them" I said not making eye contact with Lady V. "My goodness my dear. Why haven't you come to me before about this?" Lady V asked. 

"I wanted to stand up against the bullies and show them they can't hurt me anymore ma'am." I said. "My dear Charlotte a lady does not get involved with bullies or any boys. You simply ignore them and go about your business while holding yourself firm and straight and not making direct eye contact with anyone you feel might hurt you." Lady V said. "Does that really work Lady V?" I asked with hopeful eyes. "Yes my dear. It works very well. You must try that the next time those boys want to bully you." Lady V said. "Thank you ma'am." I said getting out of my chair. "You must come and tell me how it works for you my dear girl." Lady V said. "Yes ma'am. I will, promise." I said. "Run along now my dear, tennis practice starts in 30 minutes" Lady V said. "Thank you ma'am." I said.

"Hey sweetie. That was amazing!" My mother said as she came to watch my tennis day. "Hey mom, thank you. Roxanne is a difficult player. I can't seem to figure her out. Any tips?" I asked my mother and took a big swing of  red berry juice. "Look at her hand, don't look at where she's ending look at here she starts. that should give you the gap you need." My mother said as she took my bottled juice again. "Thanks mom, you are the best." I said to my mother and smiled. "Good luck sweetheart." My mom said.
