Malakai’s POV
I followed Damari into the grand room to see Daemon, Elle, Adonis, Zaire, and Shay huddled around the TV. Everyone was crying and stopped in their tracks when they saw me.
“Where’s Marina?” I asked, watching as they stepped away from the TV.
“Again, for those just tuning in,” The news anchor stated. I looked at them before stepping closer, “The search for Marina Shaw, famous Dragon Alpha of the Fire Court, is over. She has been found dead in Sweden.”

The words repeated in my mind like an echo. My ears were ringing, roaring, actually. Or was that me?
