The Unforgivable Husband

Chapter 1

Caw...caw...

A drenched crow cawed ominously in the chilly autumn rain as raindrops pitter-pattered on the thin zinc roof of the gloomy Richfield Women’s Prison.

It was Olivia Flores’ tenth year in prison. She was 18 years old when she was incarcerated and now, she was already 28 years old. Unfortunately, her babies were born in the prison and were then given to Aiden Porter, the father of her children, to raise. It had been a long time since her children came to visit her and she missed them dearly. She ate the prison’s unpalatable food while staring at a photo of her kids in an effort to distract herself from its vile taste. Prisoners developed a skill to take their minds away from their current reality, just to make their lives more bearable. It was during such a moment that the prison bully, Gina Sanders, menacingly approached her.

“Hey b***h, what are you looking at?” Gina said loudly without any regard for the attending guards.

Gina reached out and snatched the photo.

“So, it’s a picture of your bastard kids,” Gina said scornfully.

“Please, give it back to me,” Olivia begged as she meekly held out her frail arm which was covered with bruises from Gina’s repeated beatings. Olivia never dared to resist her violent outbursts as she knew that any attempts to retaliate would result in more severe beatings. The Richfield Women’s Prison was full of hardcore criminals with decades-long sentences which meant that they had no meaningful incentives to behave. In such an environment, the stronger inmates would t*****e the weaker ones, even if it was just for entertainment.

“Is that how you should beg me? Don’t you know how to beg?” Gina said arrogantly and then knocked her metal food tray off the table.

Olivia understood what she wanted. Each time Gina knocked over her food, she wanted her to eat the food off the floor like a dog.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Olivia immediately got down on the floor and began to eat the spilled food.

The dining hall broke out in laughter. “Look guys, look at my b***h! Hey doggy doggy, bark for us to hear!” After saying that, Gina kicked Olivia’s buttocks, signaling her to bark.

Woof, woof, woof... Olivia promptly barked like a dog and continued to eat the food from the dirty floor. Tears filled her eyes but she fought hard to hold them back as she did not want to give Gina the satisfaction. This a***e happened almost every other day.

Olivia was willing to do whatever it took to stay alive as her family was waiting for her to go home.

Olivia’s submission and the rowdy cheers by the other inmates intoxicated Gina which encouraged her to intensify the entertainment. She laughed maniacally, grabbed Olivia’s hair, and yanked her head up as she said with a sneer, “Didn’t you have bastard children with a man? Since you’ve already tasted a man, you should try a woman now!”

Gina stuck out her tongue and licked Olivia’s face disgustingly. “How come I never noticed how tender your cheeks are?”

Olivia closed her eyes and kept saying, “Please Gina, please let me go.”

Gina grabbed Olivia’s hands, placed them on her breasts, and forced her to rub them. She moaned erotically and said, “f*****g b***h, pleasure me!”

Olivia continued to sob but there was nothing she could do to get out of that situation.

Gina made Olivia kneel, unzipped her pants, pried open her mouth, and then pressed Olivia’s head toward her nasty crotch.

“You’re good at f*****g men, aren’t you? Come on, now let’s have some fun. Serve me well and I’ll consider having you as my b***h!”

Gina gestured to her g**g to undress Olivia. She was stunned to see those snow-white breasts as they flopped out of the prison garb. A prolonged lack of s****l gratification could drive the strong-willed insane, not to mention a bunch of criminals. It was hard for anyone present not to be aroused by that erotic scene.

Gina squatted down and said as she nibbled on Olivia’s supple breasts, “Babe, I promise not to beat you anymore. You’re mine from now on.”

Olivia wanted to struggle but she knew there was no way out for her. She just stood in place and let her mind wander away as they continued to undress her and violate her body. Everyone on eagerly and someone yelled, “b***h, you’re mine tonight!”

Olivia was subjected to the most inhumane and demeaning a***e since she was incarcerated. She could withstand the beatings and verbal abuses but now she was sexually assaulted, even in full view of the guards who did not even try to put an end to it. In fact, they were even smiling and appeared to be enjoying the show. At that moment, she suddenly lost the will to live.

Olivia decided that it was time to give up. She whispered to herself, “I’m sorry kids, I’m so sorry. I wanted to hold on and go back to take care of you but I can’t go on any further. For ten years I’ve been beaten, humiliated, and tormented daily. I really can’t do this anymore...”

Just as Olivia was about to bite her tongue, one of the guards blew the whistle, and the a***e abruptly ended.

“What the hell’s going on here? Olivia, someone is here to see you. Come over now!” the superintendent said.

It was as if Olivia came back from the dead. With the newfound hope, she quickly dressed, wiped off the tears, and rushed out of the dining hall.

“This is not over, b***h. We’ll continue this tonight!” Gina said from behind her.

Inside the visitor’s room.

Elena was already waiting on the other side of the glass window.

Olivia picked up the phone and asked anxiously, “Is there something wrong? Why are you visiting me today?” Elena usually visits at the end of the month due to her work schedule.

“Olivia, what happened? Why are you covered in bruises? Were you bullied?” Elena asked anxiously when she saw Olivia, who was covered in bruises.

“Don’t worry about me. Did something happen to the kids?”

“Olivia, I didn’t want you to worry. But Aiden is an animal! He didn’t even keep his promise to take care of the two kids!” Elena said angrily.

“How can that be? Aiden promised me that he would take care of our children. They’re his own flesh and blood. How could he not care for them?”

“Wake up, Olivia! Aiden sold the jewels he stole and is out enjoying himself! He’s an ungrateful beast! He killed the jewelry store owner during the burglary and made you take the blame which resulted in your imprisonment for 10 years. You sacrificed so much for him and yet he is so ungrateful!”

Olivia’s heart sank and began to tremble in fear and anger. She could not believe that she willingly took the blame for the man she loved to protect him and this was how he repaid her.

Aiden was living lavishly while she was in prison suffering all kinds of a***e!

What Elena said next shocked Olivia to the core!

“He left the two kids with a nanny and didn’t bother to check on their welfare! I went to see the kids yesterday, and they were frail and sickly!”

Olivia felt as if her heart was being crushed by a giant hand. She endured so much during the pregnancy to give birth to the twins in prison. The only thing that gave her the strength to endure the abuses and humiliation was the chance of a family reunion at the end of her sentence.

However, not only did Aiden not appreciate her sacrifice, he even betrayed her! He had not even carried out his duty as a father and taken care of their children!

This was totally unforgivable!

After Elena left, Olivia went to the bathroom, stared at herself in the mirror, and vowed that she must be strong to get out of there alive. She was determined to make Aiden pay for all the a***e she had suffered and for neglecting her kids!

Most importantly, she will not be humiliated and disrespected anymore!

Olivia retrieved a razor blade that she had hidden behind a loose ceramic tile in the bathroom. She kept the razor blade to cut her wrist if she decided not to live. However, now she decided to use it on someone else.

She took the blade, looked at herself in the mirror, and began to shave off her beautiful hair. Beauty was a liability in prison. Physical strength was the only way to self-protection in that unforgiving environment.

“Starting today, I will live well and make sure that those who hurt me will not go unpunished!”
