Episode 2

I saw his face change into something crazed and animalistic. Within seconds, he had made his way up to me just so he could hold me up into the air by my neck.

I knew better than to try and fight my way down, but his grip on my neck was so tight that it made me gasp for air.

“You are pathetic.” He spat at me as he looked at me with unsympathetic eyes. "You only had one job and you failed...that s**t’s incredible.”

I was beginning to feel weaker by the second and I was prying at his hands so that he would let me go but that only

made things worse. He squeezed my neck tighter...just enough to cut off the rest of my air supply but not enough to be done

with the kill.

Just as the light was dimming in my eye. He threw me to the ground and kneeled down as he observed my body as I coughed relentlessly.

“I have not heard of any news surrounding a mating ceremony so why hasn’t he made her his Luna yet?” He questioned me with scrutinizing eye. I could literally see the wheels turning in his head.

I coughed some more to try and get the air back into my lungs before I spoke.

“From what I could gather...she is different. Very different.” I whispered.

He scoffed at me. “She’s just another simple b***h that is in my way of what I am trying to accomplish. Find someone to kill the b***h and be done with it!”

“My Alpha, I believe there is another way to get her away from Adonis.” I said as I stared into his eyes. “She is not a

were. She is human.”

I saw the shock spread across his face before he replaced it with cryptic smile.

“Human? He was gifted a human second-chance mate?”

Without warning, he erupted into a hearty laughing fit.

“That means she is no problem at all. She’s an easy kill. Why haven’t you done it yet?” He asked as he calmed down

from laughing so hard.

“Well, Alpha, it seems there is more to this story about her.” I said as I cleared my throat. “I overheard a conversation

between him and two others. It seems as though she is Beta Ryder’s mate as well.”

This seemed to have caught his attention fully. He analyzed what I said in his mind as a genuine smile washed over

his face.

“This human girl has two mates?” He asked as he pondered this in his mind.

His smile grew as he made more connections to what was really being said.

“She’s mated to an Alpha and his Beta?!” Again, he roared with laughter. “Oh, this is much better than I could have ever

dreamed.”

He looked at me in my eyes and gave me a real smile.

“You are to keep doing what you have been told to do. It will work out just fine for us. She is going to drive a rift between the almighty Alpha Adonis and his loyal Beta Ryder, and you will have front row seats. Our plan has just been revised but nothing has changed.”

He grabbed my face lovingly and opened his mouth to say something, but we could hear Alpha Adonis’ warriors

coming towards us.

“We will talk soon.” He said annoyed.

He turned towards the woman who I now know is a witch and nodded at her.

She snapped her fingers and within seconds...they were gone. No trace of them anywhere.

I ran back to the house before any of the warriors could see me. As soon as I ran in the house, I caught Alpha Adonis and Beta Ryder’s powerful scents. Their testosterone piercing every corner of the house.

Their scents were so overwhelmingly loud that I couldn’t catch any other scent.

I sighed and went into the kitchen to see the one f*****g person that I was trying to ignore.

“Hello Madison.”

“Hazel.” I said simply as I walked back out of the kitchen and up the stairs to my room...swearing to get that b***h away from my Adonis.
