----Date---- ***Lanie's POV*** Thinking about the shewolf yesterday made my blood boil right when I woke up. I don't know what came over me but a possessiveness over Alec clouded my thoughts. I needed to show that shewolf that she needed to back off. Feeling my lips, that familiar spark from last night came back. I felt my body come alive as I kissed him. I never was that brash, that bold to essentially make out with a stranger. The only thing I could remember before kissing him was the overwhelming sense of making sure people knew he was mine. A knock at the door sounded as a voice said: " Excuse me miss Lanie, I have a package for you. I'll leave it at the door." Getting out of bed, I went and opened the door to my room. On the ground was a bouquet of ocean blue roses with baby's breath in a clear vase. Gingerly taking the note, I read it. " To my princess, these roses reminded me of your beautiful eyes. Unfortunately, nothing would ever come close to your beauty. See you tonight, gorgeous. -Alec" I caught myself smiling at the note before I noticed a box next to the flowers. It must have been the dress. Taking the flowers and box inside, I set the vase on the table and placed the box onto my bed. The box was gold and shiny with a shimmering silver ribbon wrapped around it. Another note was attached as I looked amused. Opening that note, I read it. " Lanie, Hopefully you like this dress. I had a hard time finding something that would accentuate a goddess. Looking forward to tonight. Pick you up at 7 pm. Xoxoxo -Alec" I couldn't help but giggle at his note. It was very sweet yet corny which I found endearing. My fingers grazed against the shimmering ribbon before gripping it and undoing the bow. I let the ribbon slide off before opening the box. Inside were two small boxes along with something covered in white fabric. " He really did too much." A smile seemed to be a permanent fixture on my face while my finger glided to the clasps holding the boxes closed. Inside were a matching set of earrings and necklace. They were set in white gold with dazzling red rubies set in a vine pattern. I gasped loudly as I looked at them. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Looking at the white fabric, I slowly peeled it aside to find a ruby red dress that matched the hue of the rubies. It was tight fitting up top with a sweetheart neckline as it mermaided out from my knees downwards. I was in awe at the dress. How did he manage to get this all done so quickly and so early in the morning? He was surely impressing me. " Lanie!!!" A familiar voice sounded as a knock on my door forced my attention away. " Come in, Sophia!" My darling sister came in as I noticed a small waddle to her movements. " Should I call you a penguin now? You're starting to waddle." I grinned as Sophia huffed. " You try carrying two twin pups!" She narrowed her eyes at my teasing. " Oooo, what's all this?" She asked. " Oh, uh… I'm going out with someone tonight. Alec Newmoon. Do you know him?" I asked but was only met with a knowing smile. " Wait… you knew!?" My eyes widened as Sophia chuckled. " Of course I knew. He asked for my help on what you would like. As a good future sister-in-law, I happily obliged and helped him." She smirked. " Sister in law?! I haven't even gone on a date with the guy!" My voice became high pitched, a tell sign that I was getting flustered. " Is that why you were locking lips with him during the wedding last night? I saw you assert your claim over him from that shewolf." Sophia snickered as my cheeks felt like they were on fire. " SOPHIA!!!" My voice turned into a shrill as I looked away embarrassed. " Oh don't worry, I was cheering you on. Arsen was too." She giggled, loving the fact she could tease me instead of it being the other way around. " Oh my goddess… Go!! Get! Leave! Don't you need to be jumping your husband's bones as a newlywed?!" I gently pushed her towards the door as she continued to laugh heartily. " Don't forget to make him wear protection, dear sister!!!" Sophia hastily ran… well waddled out of my room as I hissed in embarrassment. " Ughhh!!!" I growled, absolutely embarrassed. Hours passed before I knew it and I had to get ready. Getting in the shower, my thoughts went to Alec. There was such an undeniable pull towards him but I worried about a future with him. If we fell in love, our love would be forbidden by the Witches Coven. We would be prosecuted and hunted if so. " Two dates and I'll force him to reject me." I muttered, halfheartedly because I knew deep down that I already knew I didn't want that. Getting out, my hair naturally curled while I dried myself off and got dressed. Looking at myself in the mirror, I was shocked by the girl staring back at me. I looked ethereal as the rubies glistened in the light. " Wow…" Sophia appeared at the door with her jaw dropped. " He did an amazing job! You look like a complete goddess! If you don't make Alec speechless by looking at you, then he needs to get his eyes checked." She giggled. " I'm nervous. A witch and werewolf pairing is forbidden, you know." I commented. " Believe in the Moon Goddess' choice. I feel that this is much larger than we both realize." My sister came over, hugging me. " Go get your man, sis." She smiled before letting me go. Walking downstairs, I saw a dirty blonde haired man in a black suit that showed off his muscles. I was speechless at how handsome he looked. He turned around to see me coming down. His eyes turned pitch black with a seductive growl before his normal red eyes came back. " Damn." Alec commented as his eyes traced up and down my body. " How did I get so lucky to have such a hot and beautiful princess as my date tonight?" He grinned as I blushed.
