***Lanie's POV***
Alec came over to me, smiling from ear to ear before extending his hand out to me.
"May I escort you to our transportation this evening, my lady?" He bowed gracefully with his hand extended.
I giggled as I took his hand, noticing how rough it was. He must train a lot to have hands this rough, I thought. He brought my hand to his lips, softly kissing the top before I heard an excited squeal from behind me, quickly followed by a "shhh!"
Turning red, I looked up to see Sophia looking absolutely elated and Arsen trying to hush her to not ruin the moment.
Alec broke out into laughter as I joined in.
"Looks like your sister already approves of us." He grinned and winked while I rolled my eyes.
"Shall we go before my dear sister decides to go into labor early from her excitement?" I smirked, hearing Sophia huff.
"I won't go into labor! Just remember to wear protection you two!" She laughed as Arsen looked at her flabbergasted.
"SOPHIA!" I heard both me and Arsen say in unison.
"Whaaat? This is payback for all the times Lanie teased me!"
"Oh my goddess… let's go, Alec." I laughed before tugging him forward.
We left the house and right outside was a pitch black limousine with tinted windows. The driver opened the door as I got in first, followed by Alec and the door shutting. In front was a table with two champagne flutes and a chilled bottle of champagne. Around the chilled champagne were chocolate covered strawberries with various hearts drawn on them in icing.
The limo started to move as Alec smiled warmly. "May I offer you a glass of champagne?"
"Yes, please!" I replied happily, watching him open the bottle and pour two glasses. Taking them, he handed me one.
"To the first of many dates with my goddess."
We clinked our glasses before sipping the delicious bubbly wine. Taking a strawberry, he took the leaves off and brought it to my mouth.
Taking a bite, I smiled before he brought himself forward, taking the other half of the strawberry in his mouth, kissing me softly.
Electricity danced along my lips during the kiss as I closed my eyes, leaning into the kiss before his lips vanished from mine way too quickly.
"I thought you needed help eating that strawberry."
My eyes flickered open to see Alec grinning.
For once, I was speechless. A smile graced my lips which caused his grin to become even happier.
"You are so gorgeous." Alec stretched out his hand, gently tucking some hair behind my ear.
"I bet you say that to all the girls." I beamed happily but had to tease him.
"Nah, no other girl has ever caught my eye. I never gave any of them a second glance… but you, I can't take my eyes off of you. I am so captivated by you. My eyes just naturally gravitate to you. I'd love to give you a happiness that you only thought existed in fairytales. It's my sworn promise to you as your fated mate."
The car stopped as the door swung open. Alec smiled as he got out, adjusted his suit before offering his hand to help me out. Taking it, the familiar sparks were felt as I smiled to myself. Getting out of the car, I felt myself get propelled forward as my foot got caught on my dress.
"Oh! I got you!" Alec rushed forward and caught me before I had a date with the ground instead. His warm arms enveloped my tiny frame as he held on tightly. Concern took over all of his facial features and he refused to let me go.
I noticed he smelled like pine mixed with patchouli. He smelled so good and I wanted to stay there for a few more minutes.
"Are you okay, my love?" He asked softly; him gently rubbing my back comfortingly.
"I'm fine! I'm just clumsy sometimes." I tried to laugh it off while my eyes looked up into his.
He helped me stand up fully with our eyes not moving away from each other's. I felt the rise and fall of his chest and his warm breath tickling my hair. I couldn't pull myself away even if I wanted to; his arms felt like home.
I threw away all of my concerns about our forbidden romance. I was Lanie, he was Alec. We weren't a witch and werewolf right now. My lips reached up, quickly meeting his like his lips were the coldest water and I was dying of thirst. The kiss was an explosion of passion and feelings as his hands weaved themselves into my hair and he pulled my body close.
"Lanie…" He mumbled in a breathy tone as his hands slid down my sides.
"Alec…" My voice was needy as we continued the kiss, deepening it out of the passion we had for each other.
Pulling back finally for breath, I let out a content sigh. There was no one else around us in our own little world. It was just us.
"Shall we actually get some real food before we decide to spend the whole evening kissing?" Alec's tone was playful but he was grinning from ear to ear.
"Oh hush you." I giggled, playfully poking his side.
"You have to admit, our kisses are quite incredible." He smirked, his fingertips trailing up and down my side as the electricity from our bond lit up my body in ways I didn't know were possible.
We linked our hands together and slowly made our way to the restaurant. The restaurant looked very high end as the entrance was decorated in golden hues and had a crystal and gold chandelier hanging from the overhang. Two employees opened the golden framed doors up to let us walk inside.
My eyes kept stealing glances at Alec as he talked to the staff happily. The staff seemed to know him personally. I wonder if he frequented this restaurant a lot?
He caught me looking at him and smiled softly, wrapping an arm around my waist before I heard a few employees gasp.
"Alpha is on a date? I've never seen him date anyone. She must be his mate!" Whispered voices said.
He had never been on dates? So what he said was true? My mind blanked as feelings I never felt before flooded in as if a flood gate had opened.
The attraction between us was unreal. I had never felt such a pull towards anyone in my life like I did with him. I knew that I could tell myself that he could reject me and it was fine, but deep down… I knew I was falling for him.
