Chapter Six
With John now recovered, Tara stayed two days with him before returning to Guildford. They arranged for John to join her at the weekend once he had attended a pre-arranged meeting with Ian in Basingstoke.
Shortly after setting off to meet Ian, John felt something odd with the way his car was moving. He stopped to investigate but found nothing wrong, so continued on his way.
A short time after joining the motorway and increasing speed, John gasped in alarm. A wheel had appeared flying through the air in front of him. As he wondered where on earth it had come from, the front of his car dropped down. To his horror, John realised the wheel was his.
