Chapter Seven
On the day John and Tara arrived at Gatwick for their flight to Bangkok, both were brimming with excitement. Boarding the plane, they took their seats next to a young couple. When they struck up a conversation, the man said, “We’re going to Phuket to do some diving.”
John chuckled. “Same here,” he said. “However, we’re going to break up our journey by spending a few days in the city.”
The couple who introduced themselves as Ann and Ian, said, “How strange, we’re doing the same. We’ve booked in at the Sheraton Hotel.”
John nodded. “We chose the Dusit Hotel, which from the brochure looks excellent. By the way, I’m John, and this is my fiancée, Tara.”
Although they had not even mentioned getting engaged, Tara’s eyes lit upon hearing John introduce her this way.
