14.it feels different

NEXT MORNING

Early in the morning sky and Nick checked out of the hotel and went to airport to board the plane.

While they were flying back from new York City to London. London was spiced up with the latest gossips ,the top search of the forum showed the photos of Melisa and sky and below the content mentioned that both of them were captured spending quality time together in a private room.the rumours were believed by many people because this is the first time they saw both these famous faces together and that to without their assistants ,just them alone.

This new was also seen by ash and angel who at this time was studying together.after seeing the news angel’s face ashened but she still tried to maintain a smile and all this was noticed by ash .

“hey , you alright fairy?” ash asked while rubbing her head.

“I am fine ash ,why would I not be?” angel retorted with a pout

“because you look like a wife who has caught her husband cheating her .”ash joked.

“not funny ,ash .” angel said and started hitting Ash’s back with her punches.

After she calmed down she spoke avoiding Ash’s eye contact and playing with her fingers.

“he said he was going on a business trip for 2 days .”

“WHAT!” Ash exclaimed.

“I thought you told me he was your crush and now you guys are just friends.”ash asked with folded hands in front of his chest .

“well can’t friends tell each other their schedule .”angel fired back.

“I give up miss.” Ash replies while raising his hands in air as a sign of his surrender.

RYDER MANSION

“What the hell is he doing?” Linda threw the newspaper across the dinning table in a fit of anger.

“what the hell is your problem now?” Arthur spoke trying his best to hide his frustration infront of his mom.

“ both of you just calm down and have breakfast , whatever this issue is ,it can wait till you have your fill .” Julianne spoke in an attempt of soothing their anger.

“how can I eat when that bastard is creating scandals instead of doing business”linda yelled at no one in particular.

“is this even that big of a deal .” Arthur said expressing his frustration after he saw the cause of Linda’s anger.

“I am trying to set him up with Jena and he is having quality time with Melisa Brown .how can this not be a big deal. Have you lost your mind Arthur.”linda screamed.

“What nuisance are to sprouting now.huh ? What’s the fuss is about?” before Arthur could reply a sky’s stern voice echoed in the living room from the entrance.

Sky walked in and Nick closely followed behind and handed sky’s luggage over to the servant.

“son ,you are back.” Julianne spoke happily and rushed to give sky a welcome hug.

“how are you grandma , did you ate properly in my absence?” sky asked with concern .

“do you treat your grandma a 3 year old .huh?” grandma replied faking anger.

Sky laughed .

“come and eat now ,nick you join too.” Grandma said.

But before they could reach the dinning table .Linda snatched the newspaper from Arthur and threw it towards sky’s feet on the floor.

“explain this.” Linda called out

Nick bent down and picked up the newspaper for sky and then handed it over to sky .

Sky took it and when he saw the article on the first page ,he scowled. He face darkened and then he spoke .

“my hunger died grandma , I will eat something in the office later .”

Then he turned to face Linda and said coldly

“I will deal with it ,Mrs Ryder no need to get all worked up”.

And then he turns And walk away.

In the car

“sir ,I am sorry ,I don’t know how this happened. May be we should not have let are guards down in front of Ms.Brown.”nick spoke anxiously while driving.

“how was your dinner with her personal assistant.” sky questioned nick instead of reply to him.

Sky’s question rendered nick speechless because sky’s words reminded him what actually happened .

Nick shook his head wanting to clear his head and think straight.

Nick cleared his throat and answered respectfully.

“ It was fine sir ,I was waiting for your call throughout.”

Sky observed nick facial expressions carefully and then spoke while getting out of the car and moving towards his office.

“contact the PR department and tell them I want this news vanished ,they have half an hour.”

Half an hour later

“sir it’s settled.”nick informed and sky nodded as a sign of his acknowledgement and then nick left.

Sky was wondering if angel saw this news or not. Should he call her and explain? She is still in college she might be busy and she is not a kind of person to judge people on the basis of rumours.But still I should explain what if she misunderstoods me like I misunderstood her relationship with her bestfriend.

But how do I explain ,I have never done this before…god I have never felt like this before. Sky’s mind was filled with these thoughts while he continued to swirl in his revolving chair.

Then he suddenly decided to text her first .So he found her number and started typing.

“hi angel, I am back.” This should be fine he muttered to himself and then pressed the send button.

Then he waited..1,2,3,4……

A ting ..he received a reply ,sky hurriedly opened his inbox.

Then recited angel’s message out loud to himself.

“hey, welcome back. Hopefully the trip went well ?.”

Sky smiled.

“yeah ,it went well but had to deal with false rumours as soon as I landed.” Sky typed casually and indirectly explained himself.

“oh, do your work but must take rest also , you must be suffering from jet lag .” angel texted back.

Sky smiled happily and thought is this how you feel when someone actually cares about you .this is all so new because before this sky only knew the care his grandma showed him .but this feels different.

“yeah , thanks for the concern.will talk to you later .”sky texted back.

“bye.later.” angel replied.

On the other side when angel received sky’s text she felt relieved .
