Ryder Mansion

( the drive to angel's apartment was peaceful ,it was filled with giggles of angel from time to time. and for sky this ride was too short , because he discovered that he can't get enough of angel's talk ..he can listen to her voice all day long without getting irritated .)

“grandma I am home ,where are you?" sky called out as he rushed in the mansion full of excitement wanting to share the piece of good new he received today with his grandma.

“son , welcome back home." grandma spoke

sky saw her and immediately engulfed her into a tight hug and spoke

“grandma ,she is single." judging from his tone anyone can tell how happy he is.

grandma immediately understood what her grandson was speaking .

“wow ,this is a great news." she spoke while rubbing his back .

and they broke the hug grandma started hooting and twirling .

“ yeah!"

“yippee!"

“woohoo!"

seeing her like this sky also laughed happily .

in the corner hiding behind the pillar Arthur watched his son and mom enjoying themselves and smiling happily , and watching them he smiled automatically.he wished he could be a part of their happiness.he wished that one day his son would come running towards him and hug me .and how badly he wished he could tell his son that‘ sky,dad is proud of you.'

but he can't and it's alright ,as long as he can protect his son and mom he is willing to be alone , willing to be the bad guy.

“sky how dare you reject Jena's offer for lunch.huh?" Linda shouted while walking down the stairs.

Arthur knew that his wife will spoil his son's mood and hurt him with cruel so he decided to take her anger. so he came forward from the pillar and acted like he heard Linda just now by coincidence.

“ why are you yelling? can't we even have dinner quietly." said Arthur before sky could reply.

“do you still have the mood to eat ,when you have such a piece of s**t son ."linda questioned back.

Arthur clenched his fist tightly controlling his anger and said

“you don't want to eat ,then fine .no need to force yourself ."

after he finished his sentence he strode straight towards Linda grabbed her wrist and dragged her into their room and then came out alone after saying few words to her and lock the door from outside.

“mom come and sit ,let's have dinner." Arthur uttered lovingly to Julianne and started moving towards the dinning table.

“but Linda?" Julianne spoke

“ let her be grandma , you should eat okay." sky

persuaded his grandma

“okay ." Julianne smiled

and then the three of them had dinner.

after dinner went to grandma's room to settle her and then went towards his room.

sky's Room

sky took a shower and laid down on the bed .he wanted to sleep but his mind was occupied by angel.he was actually missing her voice .“looks like I am really losing my mind over her " sky uttered and laughed .

his mind kept repeating these words and his brain kept replaying today's journey in the car with angel .

I want to see her again but he is leaving early morning.

it was like his hands had a mind of their own because while he was thinking about all these he has already dialed angel's number.

when he realised that he has actually called angel this late at night he immediately disconnected the call.

he was hoping that he has not disturbed her sleep.

but looks like God was not on his side because his phone rang and the call was from angel.

“oh god” he said and then immediately answered the call.

?“hello." sky said

“hi sky , are you alright ?" angel spoke from the other side worried .

sky felt moved when he heard her worried tone.

“ I am good. and sorry I disturbed you. you were not sleep ,were you?"

“ no need , and no I wasn't sleeping."

“ oh !"

“sky .."

“thanks for the lift today. "

“ no need angel."

“hmm...are you not sleepy yet ."

“ umm ..well yeah ."

“ why did you call ,do you have anything to say?"

“i..I.."

“woow , the great CEO is stammering .huh? "angel joked

“ ha ha , very funny angel ." sky grumbled annoyed.

“speak up " angel tried to mimick his tone .

sky smiled on the phone and said softly

“ angel I am going on a business trip."

“huh..why why are you telling me.?"angel spoke in a depressed tone.

“ no reason , just wanted to" sky spoke

after hearing the silence from her side he added

“ I will be back in 2 days ."

“ have a safe journey then , take care , eat and sleep on time. " angel finally spoke firmly

even this firm tone made his heart beat faster for her.

“i will ." he replied reassuring her.

and then added .

“ oh by the way you sound like the house wife whose husband is going out , the way they show in the dramas my grandma watch." he Joked

“ hey!" angel exclaimed embarrassed

“ good night Angel." he said softly

“ good night sky , sleep well." angel spoke in her angelic voice.
