Chapter 6: Jyshyr's Will.

Jamnia's Point of view.
I'm kinda getting uncomfortable with the stares that I'm getting. Even though I get those kind of stares in my old school, this time it's different. I could feel the fear and insecurity in the air.
Yesterday, I walked along with the other Zodiantes everyone gave me those uncomfortable stares. I know being a Zodiante here is quite important but why are they making it a big deal? Maybe Jyshyr was that scared of me because they treat us Zodiantes as Gods.
"How did you find out that I was a Virgo? I didn't even mention it Jyshyr." I asked, both of us sat peacefully in a bench waiting for our next subject.
"That class is specifically made for the Zodiac Virgo, our religion."
"Religion?"
"Do you amnesia Jamnia? You kept asking about things that everyone knows, it's like you came from another world."
"Maybe."
I laughed and continued eating then I realized Jyshyr talks to me like a normal friend now which made me smile. Yesterday she was trembling in fear, now she's that cheerful person I thought her or is it because I treated her for lunch? It's really a good thing that Headmaster Burdues gave me everything I need since I don't have any money in pockets, I couldn't afford any of this fancy things.
"s**t, Jamnia we need to hurry our P.E is quite strict. I don't want to run ten laps again, curse this scrumptious free food!"
She panicked so I ran beside her, worry was written all over her face which is hilarious. We ran endlessly towards the humongous coliseum, I saw students cheerfully talking to each other. New faces and some familiar greeted me, few of my classmates from Zodiante are here aswell. I have three sets of different classmates, it'd be hard to remember their names.
A guy in his thirties approached me, he looked like a gym teacher with all those muscles yet he looks nerdy.
"The new student?"
"Yes Sir."
"I'm Sir. Rodolfo Mercader, introduce yourself."
Again I introduced myself infront of everyone. Some others whisphered, some didn't even pay attention and just minded their business. I was about to go back but someone asked a question.
"Is i-it true that y-you're a Zodiante?" I didn't answer, I don't deserve to be called one.
"What's your magic?" Someone asked that made me froze.
I remember the scene that happen earlier, the discrimination that I've received. I don't want to experience that again, they thought I was special but I'm just a nobody in this world. I don't have any strength or power to change anything in this world, I'm just a burden to my fellow Zodiantes.
"Let's not pressure her and go on with the exam." Sir Mercader smiled at me, hinting that he knows my situation.
I headed back and noticed that someone was talking to Jyshyr, it was the girl with yellow hair from my Zodiante class, the one who laughs like a mad woman. Jyshyr was uncomfortable with all the questions she received while I silently sat beside them as those scenes earlier flashbacks.

"What?! She's human?"
"Cheap Virgo!"
"Why would a star, a magnificent one like me choose a powerless human? Like their weaker than ordinary Astrals!"
"A toy to play with."
"If only she wasn't beautiful."
"Settle down everyone! Let's not drag each over down and work together, it's not for our own sake it's for everyone. She still doesn't know how to summon her celestial spirit and can't use any magic." Miss Catherine once more explained, it cause more commotion.
The criticism that I've heard pierced right through me.
"She doesn't deserve to be called Zodiante, she's too weak!"
"She'll be a disgrace to us all Zodiantes."
I feel so little from all their hate, why do they think of me as burden? Is this what supernatural abilities makes us, it's quite sad.
"Then that'll be much of a reason for all of you to train her, to summon Virgo. We immediately need to complete all the Zodiac signs, we need that spell to defeat those Umbrals."
"Yes, Miss. Bensurto." The girl with the sweetest smile replied.
"I'll be assigning Clim to train Jamnia every week since they had their adventure." Miss. Catherine looked meaningfully at him.
"Oh, you doin' good dude!" Clim eventually shook his head.
"I suddenly don't know how to summon Taurus! Miss. Bensurto please let Austin train me each day, the more pain the better." The girl with yellow hair naughtily laughed.
"Stop playing around Aliah. Class dismiss, prepare yourselves for tomorrow."

"Everyone listen, we will now start our one on one battle. I hope all of you have prepared for this, expect for the new comer. Your performance will be your grade." I was brought back to reality as Sir Mercader gave out his words, I was drowning by my sea of thoughts.
"I sure do hope that I won't face any Zodiante!"
"I can do this! You trained well for this self!"
Everyone was intrigued about the battle while I sat silently thinking. I'm so unlucky to be in this situation.
"I pick Miss. Azares and Miss. Monacillo in the battlefield to start our exam." Some gasped as they were shocked.
"Jyshyr is dead!"
"Jyshyr can't handle Zodiante Myles..."
"Jyshyr can fight back, they're both celestial spirit wizards."
Jyshyr beside me stood up, I bid her luck to give some encouragement. She smiled back and went to the center, Myles was already there. A sweet chubby innocent girl versus a manly emotionless woman.
"The rules are simple, make your opponent surrender. Hurting your opponent to the extent of almost killing them will make the violator loss the fight." Sir Mercader said as he signaled to start the match.
Neither of them made a move, I saw determination in the eyes of Jyshyr. I know she wants to win this, its like she wants to prove something.
"Perfume Magic: Magnificent Scent." Myles said as blue colors appeared in her hands, she looked refreshed because of it. "Perfume Magic: Sleeping Aroma, second form dagger." A indigo color conjured from Myles hand that turn into a dagger.
It's like she's holding a indigo colored dagger but it's air. Myles sprinted towads Jyshyr's direction, it was so fast. It's not normal for a human being to move that fast, those colors around her might be the cause.
"s**t! Gate of thee Shield I open thee Scutum!" A topaz like key appeared from Jyshyr's hand, an orange like color filled the air. "Scutum, Complete Guard!"
A guy holding a gigantic shield appeared before Jyshyr, his shield glowed that made Myles stop. An invisible forceshield was there protecting Jyshyr. She tried to break through using different weapons with her magic but it was futile, I saw impatience in her face.
"Water Magic: Water beam!" A big beam of water almost hit Myles to make her retreat but Jyhyr made continuous water attacks.
"Your good but not good enough." She said before a diamond key appeared from Myles hand. "Gate of thee Ram I open summon the Aries!"
A ram like girl appeared right in front of us, she has a fur and horn of a ram. She looked manly like her owner but her still remains.
"What can I do Master?" It asked.
"Break the shield Aries, I'll back you up."
Without any hesitation Aries charged fourth with her horns trying to destroy the forcesheild, Scutum struggled from all the attacks.
"Water Magic: Water Cutter!" Jyshyr casted hoping to eliminate Aries but before she could take down Aries, the shield was already broken.
Scutum did his best to fight back and protect her master at the same time but it was a two versus one situation. Myles found the perfect opportunity to slightly s***h Scutum's leg, seconds later it immediately feel asleep. Aries acted fast and punch Scutum with brute force, her hands was glowed showing indication of her using magic.
"Don't breathe the perfume Jamnia, you'll be unconscious. I won't help you, who knows what might happen to you." That yellow haired girl said while giggling.
I was creeped out from what she said, I slowly moved away from her and fucosed on the battle. Gosh, she's totally a perv and freaking weird!
The guy that Jyshyr summoned slowly disappeared in thin air. Jyshyr knew it was pointless to fight back, Aries and Myles was to strong for her.
"I surrender." I could feel the frustration from Jyshyr's eyes. I gave her the tightest hug I could ever give, her face was about to cry.
"Don't feel bad, you did great." I said trying to make her feel better, she smiled at me as a response.
We sat and entertained ourselves watching the following battles, it was full of explosion and violence. No one wanted to give in and had fun fighting except for those who had to fight the remaining Zodiantes. None of them tried to fight, none of them has the guts to do so.
I smiled hopelessly, can I be strong like the other Zodiantes? I hate this feeling of being insecure!
