Zach walked up River Terrace. Starring down at his now severely wrecked black Ducati motorbike. She was braver and smarter then he gave her credit for. She had stolen his bike keys and rode it out of the hospital's parking lot, flipping him off as she sped off with it. Of course, it had GPS tracking, so he was only a little ways behind her. Claw marks ripped through the body of the bike. He hated that he wasn't madder at her than what he was. He hated that for a moment. He wished he was that bike, sitting beneath her with her claw mark all down... He snapped out of that thought as his watch kept flashing Level 6; 0 Ft. It had been doing that since their hospital… interaction. She had f****d with it somehow. He couldn't work how or when. He thought he had her, or at least shown her that it was her that should be afraid of him.
Something snapped inside him, after that night at the gentleman's club, and he hadn't stopped for a second. His office was covered in any and all information on her. Countless subpoenas, multiple private investigators and way to many favors were asked on every tie he had. Which, being the first son to the prestigious Oakes family, was a lot.
Now he knew everything there was to know about her. May Jasmin Tran, born September 18th 1959. Died October 15th 1981. Had two loving parents, both laid to rest next to what was meant to be her final resting place at Hart Island. She died from a peace disturbance call gone wrong. Unknowingly walked in on a drug trade. Three men were trialed and sentenced to life in prison for her death. One was dead - died in prison. One was still in prison, one was out on parole for good behavior. Apparently, his testimony helped put the other two away. So he had the opportunity to be up for parole later in his term. But did they really kill her? Or were they just used as a scapegoat, as she was now a blood-sucking vampire. There was no way to know for sure. She couldn't be trusted. After all, her father passed almost 10 years after her with no listed cause of death. Highly suspicious. A re-read of the Oakes family history and vampire achieves revealed that the Krnsk were a vampire organization that took it upon themselves to govern vampires around the world. In the hope they could live in peace with humans. Absolute garbage. How could a monster who feeds of humans to survive ever live in peace with them? Lead by Traian, the eldest of the four siblings that were the first to be turned by the original vampire. That's why she was so strong. She had so much of the vampire virus in her from being turned by Traian, Zach thought. We were all wrong though. My father and his father before him all believed the stories of Traian being blessed by the earth mother and walking in the sunlight were just stories that there was no way could it be possible. They were all monsters! But she's living proof that we were wrong,
It doesn't change anything though. He ran his hand through his black hair, frustrated with himself.
Once the pieces of this vampire started to come together, it was easy to recognize that she would have to go to the Krsnk hospital sooner than later. She also told her buddy on the phone that she would be checking it out. He knew the person she made that phone call to was her partner of sorts. They had been spotted together for decades in New York and other places around the United States. Their last sighting together was only a couple of months ago at LAX. He couldn't tell if they were romantically involved, regardless, this guy was now on his hit list.
When Zack finally caught up to her in that hospital, he was going to shoot her point-blank, make her beg a bit and then end it. For everything she put him through. But it was like seeing her made him go mad. He didn't want the chase to end. He wanted all of her, he wanted to hear her moan. He wanted to feel her beneath him. Watching her squirm with bloodlust, to see her go crazy for him was so hot. He was fully expecting her to turn him in, to call on security. The opportunity was right there. He thought, fighting with himself. But she didn't, she turned them away and the way she looked at me…. It was probably a vampire trick. Ugh Zach pull yourself together. You are better than this, falling into her trap like that. And she just walked away from you like it was nothing! She did let me restrain her though. She might of even let me go further if we weren't interrupted.. She was never truly restrained though, how she just broke it off and then bit through the seal, f**k that was so hot. She wanted me, though for a moment not just for the blood, I could see it in her eyes. What am I thinking? This needs to stop. She's a filthy blood-sucking vampire, she's probably messing with me as part of her little game. Like she did with that Kaya girl.
Enough of that though. What the f**k am I playing at? Doing that with a disgusting vampire, spending this much time and resources. Zach pulled out his phone and his back twinged. Ugh. I sat to still at that stupid computer for too long. I'll get this sorted first and then reset. I still have no idea what happened to dad. I've gone completely off track. Focus Zach.
Zach scrolled through his contacts, locating a number of one of the family's personal assistants that should be able to organize a qualified masseuse. Someone that could relieve a bit of the pain in his back and the tension everywhere else.
May sat at her desk finally, in her apartment. May's apartment was not as spacious, bright and luxurious as the living facilities the Krsnk offered its agents. It was small, dark and cramped. She doubted it would even pass a fit for living inspection. But she wasn't living and it was hers. It also came with a handy characteristic, that it was out of sight to even the residents of the building she shared it with. It wasn't completely hidden as it could gain a little attention from some very observant and curious onlookers. For her front door was on the third floor, on the outside of the apartment building, and it didn't have a staircase to it. People's whose gaze would hit the mysterious floating door would wonder where the balcony that should have been under it had gone to. That was a question May couldn't even answer and didn't really care for the answer either. It definitely wasn't the only one like it in the city. And the reason it had appealed to May forty years ago was for the view from one of the only two windows in the apartment. Where you could see the building, that used to be her family home. When she had turned and left everything she had and was behind, it became an important place to her. Unlike most vampires, she wasn't into extravagant things; her furniture was very basic. An old desk with a creaky chair, a vintage TV with a dial to change the channel and the volume (she wasn't even sure if it worked or not, and hadn't touched it in decades). It sat on a bland old coffee table on the other side of the room. There was a large closet that she use to barricade herself in for the day. She did this for the first 10 years of being a vampire. Before, she had achieved the rank of Risen and was no longer required to hide from the sun. Next to her desk running all across the back wall were book shelves. Full of the exactly the same black thick leather-bound books. They were her journals/diaries. Every day she would note the weather temperature, her goals, what happened and what she would do next. She started journaling as a young girl, and although her technique had very much evolved as time went on, she still wrote every day. She was stricter with it now as she was immortal. She did actually find herself going back and re-reading some years, to remember in detail what happened. Although she didn't need reminding of the important events of her life, the small details she did. As when you live forever, you can only hold on to a finite number of memories. She lied back on her chair, stretching her arms back and running her fingers against the back of some of the journals. It was hard for her to admit to herself but going about it one day and just forgetting a huge chunk of her life scared her immensely.

Zach…
May tapped her pen on the page after she wrote his name. She was annoyed this wasn't what she wanted to write. Obviously, he is still very much on my mind, she thought. How does he know my name, and who even is he? I've been so determined to just lose him that I idiotically underestimated him and now have put so much at risk. May continues to tap her pen on the page. No, I made a threat last night that if he were to get in my way again, I would make his life hell. I have time before my flight tomorrow. Let's make good on our promise.

Zach
She got up from her chair and dialed one of Adam's numbers, as she slipped out her window, using the window sills, gutters and uneven brick edges to make her way down to the street, careful to keep out of view of the traffic below.
"Hi Adam, when you get this message I need you to do a little favor for me" She paused and then sighed in contempt as she then followed up with "Please."
