May sat on a building top with a clear view of the upper east side townhouse with no scent. Once May thought about it, finding where he lived was easy. She knows this city like the back of her hand, and there were only three places she could recall that had no smell. It didn't stand out to her at the time. But after she met the vampire hunter with no scent, it made complete sense that this is where he lived. All places humans had resided or been they would leave a scent of their blood. It was more faint if it had been a long time since any humans had been in it. But in a city of millions, a place never had no smell at all, not for long anyway. That’s why this place stuck out like a sore thumb, no scent after all is a scent. She was able to confirm it was indeed the vampires hunters last night with his reaction when she pulled up to it. I've totally got him, she thought. You are not going to beat me at my own game.
She gave a small wicked grin as she thought how she could pretty much just waltz into his house and he wouldn't realise it - With that watch being damaged. She was able to get a good look at it in the police car and then again in the hospital. It had a sensor on the top of the rim. So when she bit into the metal like tape, she also sliced her finger, and then with some sleight of hand and her perfect aim, she was able to flick the blood droplets onto the watch. She knew it was only vampires it was tracking as it didn't change when the human compelled security guards came and then went. But she saw that it could track her and told him how far away she was. It should still say Lvl 6; 0 ft. Unless he had worked it out. But considering the watch's age, I doubt he was extremely familiar with it and how it worked. So there is a solid chance he hasn't fixed it yet, May thought.
She saw some movement in the house through her binoculars. Just a shadow across one of the blinded windows. He is home, I know it. Maybe I shouldn’t have ripped his bike a new one. It would have been handy to identify his location, she thought. A blue shiny Mercedes Benz pulled up and parked directly in front of the townhouse. With the strict parking permits in this side of town, they must be a friend of the owner, May thought. She zoomed in on the number plate and pulled up a number plate lookup website on her phone. The vehicle was under the company name Bliss Treatments & Co. Quick search found that it was a masseuse that catered to the upper elite of New York City. Now, why would you need a masseuse? Vampire Hunter Zach… Would leave you in an awfully compromised position.... May took off her binoculars and pursed her lips. I couldn't, I really shouldn't. O, but it's too easy. It would be a shame not to. But I should be focusing on what's going on with the Krsnk, but you have time and a good lead that you will follow through with tomorrow.. Fine! I'm probably going to regret this. I hate to admit this, but I think I need Adam back to really talk me out of this insanity. She finally admitted to herself.
May watched a late twenties, beautiful woman walk up to the townhouse and knock on the door, She was in a clean linen blue uniform that matched the Mercedes she arrived in. Her highlighted blonde hair was tied into a high tight bun. She looked very professional. The woman disappeared inside for a minute, then came back out and went to her car to unload some items, preparing a few more things for her next trip. I'm so sorry to do this to you, pet May thought to herself as she approached.
She made sure she was out of view from the main entrance. When she tapped the young woman on the shoulder. A bit of compelling to get some background information on the young lady, her uniform, and made her fall asleep in the back seat of her car.
May quickly tied up her hair, grabbed the cleans towels and oils Tanya had set up to take inside, and walked in.
"Finally! Can we just get started already!" She heard Zach's angry voice coming from another room inside the house.
" I'm so sorry, sir. I dropped my oils in the car. I'll make up the time for your treatment." May said in her best Tanya impression. Very monotone, low in pitch and calm. As if even her voice was a part of the calming experience.
May quickly peered into the room where Zach's voice was coming from to see if and how exactly she was going to pull this off.
What she saw made her grin ear to ear. He was already face down in a towel lying across the massage table that had been set up in the middle of a lounge room. O I couldn't have planned this better even if I tried she thought to herself. His muscular back was bare, showing his large intrinsic detailed tattoo. It was the shape of a massive tree, the large trunk running down his spine and the branches wrapping his rib cage and up over his large muscular shoulders. She caught her breath and bit her lip, and for a second, she asked herself if she could even continue without getting to carried away.
She placed the towels down and rubbed her hands together rigorously to warm them up so her touch wouldn't make him suspect anything. Put the oils on her hands.
"Sir?" She asked in her best Tanya voice. "Would you like a full body, or is there a specific place that needs attention today?"
"Left lower back." He grumbled.
If I'm able to get him to completely relax, I can knock him out and have free range of the house. She thought she was just going to knock him out. That was always the original plan. But now she had convinced herself that it would be better if he was relaxed. Definitely less struggle. Less risk.. right? There was no other reason as to why the plan had changed a bit, she convinced herself.
She moved her hands to the spot on his back and started to work the muscle that she could feel definitely had a knot it.
"Mmm, could you cool your hands down? I like it better cold." He asked. The sudden interruption almost made May jump.
"Yes, right away, sir." She responded left the room to shake her hands so they were her normal temperature again and went back in.
Her hands went back to the spot to work out that knot in his muscle. And he sighed with relief. It was music to May's ears. Why is my stomach feeling so weird, she thought as she recomposed herself.
"You can continue with the rest," he almost moaned at her.
May just went on to thoroughly massage and rub his back and then shoulders. Every crevice, every curve of every muscle. The smooth, hot touch of his skin under the oil. The sound of his breath when she touched him in just the right spots, there were even a few times he squirmed under her hand that made her heart race with excitement. He arched his back, and she so badly wanted to sink her teeth into the back of his neck. She snapped out of it. And suddenly realised time had gotten away from her completely. It was a lot later than what she thought. She checked Zach as he hadn't made any noise in quiet a while. His breath was steady, and his heart beat slow and constant.
She looked under the table to be sure, peering at his face through the hole of the massage table. He was completely asleep. This is it, she thought. Finally, to get some information on this guy! She turned to a door that wasn't too far from the entrance way and opened it. And what she saw shocked even her, just for a moment, and then she almost chuckled out loud. The study was covered in papers, newspaper clippings, and photos all of her. Her life was sprawled out over the desk and pinned to the wall. Photos of her as a new recruit to the police. May picked it up to have a closer look. I was so young and that day was so special, my mother and father were so proud of me. The thought of her dad almost made her crush the photo. She followed her life timeline that he had put together. Did he know what happened to my dad? She looked at the year he died. Matthew Tran death: unknown. O, thank earth mother. Wait, why do I care if he knows that about me? I mean, it's none of his business, but none of this is his business! May found a photo of herself that she quiet liked. I look quiet good in this one, she thought. It was her at night club with Adam around 4 years ago. She was investigating the Vampire Duke Lance Haddington who was a suspect on the murders of a Duchess of another order, and he had just purchased a nightclub in the city Nothing came out of that particular investigation, but it was an interesting night. She remembered how she was able to compell a human who was already being compelled to let them in. Quite a feat that she was quite proud of.
She pinned it to the wall next to the photo of herself as a human police recruit. She grabbed a red marker and put a halo and wings on the recruit photo of herself and then love hearts around herself at the club. She was giddy. She had never done anything so childlike in decades. A series of three thick brown books with gold filigree lettering caught her eye on the desk. "History of the Oakes Family." She picked up the books. This will do, she thought and made her way out of the house. "I wonder if you dream of me too," she whispered and chuckled to herself as she sauntered out.
