Aurora's POV My pack and the Nightfall pack shared a border. Although we have a lot of territory. We lack the strength to use the space effectively. As much as I was angry that bastard Henry betrayed me, I'm still thankful for what he and his pack offered. Without them, my pack may not have thrived. But now, this support is gone. I know I have to step up as the Alpha's daughter. I may not have my wolf but, I am a good strategist. I will protect my pack and take on the consequences of my actions. Whether I used business, services or resources, I will always find a way to manage my pack with my abilities. The Timberwolf Pack would be a good place to learn. His father, Lucus, came out on top in the Dark Dawn War. He kept that power for his pack and used it to make them the strongest Pack arround. For some reason, after Edward became an adult, he separated himself from hos father and founded another territory for the Timberwolf Pack. In just a few years, this young Alpha had managed his pack amazingly. It will benefit me to see their operating methods and see how they use it alongside their power. Just as I was getting excited a familiar scent disturbed my thoughts. Edward's face appeared in front of me, just an inch away from my nose. I could feel his warm breath brushing my cheek. I quickly turned my head away from him, only to hear a "click". His arm wrapped around me and snapped my seatbelt into place. How could a man who flirts while fastening a seatbelt manage a Pack so well? Edward's car matched his personality. A far too fast bright red convertible. It matched his desperation for excitement. He refused to let a Beta drive. He had settled into the driver's seat, turned on his music and hummed away to the songs while flying down the road. The evening had already rolled around. I could see the sun setting over the treetops. The wind gently blew against my face, and my tense mind finally relaxed. "Do you like the sunset?" Edward spoke up suddenly. The car had slowed, he was letting me look as much as I wanted to. "It's beautiful. It's been a long time since I've had the chance to take in the scenery." The car had only just slipped out of the Nightfall Packs territory. The forest surrounding me was still the one I played in as a child. When Henry, Daisy and I were kids, we used to race to a small hill in the forest to watch the sun go down. It changed when I turned 16. Being wolfless, I put all my energy into developing other skills. Henry and Daisy, however… I don't know when they changed, maybe they were always this way. "It is beautiful.” If this is how Edward flirts with all those girls he brings home, he must be relying solely on his looks. I didn't say anything else, Edward didn't seam to care he only sped up the car. As we approached an intersection, we were greeted by several guards. This must be the border of Edwatd's Territory. To my surprise, we were driving for a long time before we came across any buildings. The size of this territory is unimaginable. The fact that it's only a sub-territory of the Timberwolf Pack made it nearly terrifying. The car slowed to a stop in front of a palace. Edward got out of the car, and threw the keys to an Omega stood at the door. The Omega came over and opened my door. I took a few quick steps to catch up to Edward. The hallway from the entrance hall was decorated magnificently surprising me. I never thought Edward would be the type to value decoration. However, I had some doubts that I would be the only one of Edward's women in the palace. According to the rumours, I would be meeting a group of beautiful women who would come out to great their Alpha. But as we passed through the rooms, I couldn't see a single trace that any women lived here. Many maids greeted us with a respectful curtsy, but there were no other women in sight. I followed Edward to the reception room. He usually gestured at the sofa and then sat down in a chair across form me. Just as I was sitting down, a man with a serious face and formal demeanour walked in holding a teacup. He placed the cup down in front of me, then stood pin strait and spoke. "Hello, Miss Aurora. I am Beta Blake," he stated clearly. "Hello," I replied gently. It was surprising just how different Edward and his Beta were. His Beta was clearly rule-abiding almost to a fault. I smiled politely and nodded towards Blake. Edward, clearly not being one for small talk, cut straight to the point. Just as I was about to pick up my tea he cut in. "So when will we hold the engagement party?." "What?” My hands began to tremble, and I nearly spilled the tea I was holding. I couldn't help but feel shocked. Although using an engagement as a bargaining chip for my pack members was effective, I didn't think Edward would already be planning the entire engagement party. Before I could form a half-decent answer, He had broken out in a hearty laugh while leaning against the armrest of his chair. He was only trying to fluster me. I was annoyed with myself for letting it work. My phone suddenly vibrated. Glancing at the message, I saw it was from my pack. They had all returned safely. I felt pure relief. If Edward wanted to make things difficult for my pack he could, I would have no way of dealing with it. Henry had even less chance of saving everyone. He's completely useless. I knew I should thank him. I placed down my cup and looked at him. "My members have all returned safely. Thank you, Alpha Edward." His eyes narrowed slightly. He smiled but it was colder now. "I let your members and left that party in front of Henry for more than just hearing you say thank you." He was a smart man. He knew I was using him to protect my Pack and get back at Henry. But he must have seen enough of an advantage for himself to have brought me back with him. I know he wants something out of this and I have to find out what it is. "Tell me your conditions, Edward." I may be at a disadvantage in this new pack, but I refuse to be timid. I looked him directly in the eye, called him only by his name, and told him I would do anything he asked. He didn't get angry at the disrespect. Instead, he looked almost proud, his mouth slipping into that familiar smile. "I need all the information you can give me about The Nightfall Pack.”
