Syd and I came home before New Year's Eve to attend my mother's annual party. As much as I hated my mother right now and I am not a huge fan of my sister, Nik called and specifically asked that we attend the party. She is still my little sister and there are times I still feel protective of her.
Syd wasn't exactly excited, but she was doing it for me. I made sure to schedule a day at the spa for her and Margie and then had a stylist come to the house to do her hair and makeup before we went. I wanted her nice and relaxed.
