Syd's POV
We came back from Salt Lake City and I got moved into Greg's place. It felt weird living with my boyfriend at 16, but my parents trusted me enough to do the right thing and keep my goals in check. Mom was leaving this weekend, so when Greg went back to work on Wednesday, I told her I would spend the rest of the week with her.
She came over to Greg's to see the house and hang out by the pool. "Oh, Sydney, this house is beautiful. He did such an amazing job picking it out."
"Yeah, he is letting me decorate the whole house however I want, so I will start with our room before I head back to school."
"Please promise me you will be careful. Finish school and don't get pregnant. I know he can take care of you, but I want you to follow your dreams and be your own person."
