Sydney's POV
While I was at my father's trying to enjoy my summer, my mom was in Georgia looking for somewhere to live. Greg had convinced her to let me stay back and finish school at home while living with him, somehow. Though, she wanted a house big enough for us to come and visit her while she was down in Savannah.
She didn't know how long she would be down there so Mr. Simmons convinced her to just rent out our house for the time being. He told her that he had big plans for her and that she shouldn't plan on settling down in one particular place, but she should invest in homes wherever he sent her so that when she was ready to settle down, she could choose where to call home.
