Frank woke from another one of his dreams with a start. Morning sun shined on his face as he lay in the wagon next to Gregory. It was not past seven in the morning, but it sure was not as early as they had been used to. The mid-spring day was warming up nicely. Frank got up and grabbed the coffee pot and the oak water bucket. He started toward the tree line in the distance with Sally close at his heels. It was nice to sleep in and feel rested. As he walked, the bugs jumped out of the prairie grass. Birds soon followed them, feasting on the insects. Sally leapt at the birds as they appeared in her sight, and Frank chuckled.
