Chapter 3. Headache

Headache

Tessa's pov

Once I made it to the door to Ashley's bedroom I felt a small pain at the back of my head.  It quickly grew and traveled down my spine.  Just as I felt like I was going to pass out a whisper broke the pain. A faint whisper I could not quite make out. There was a comfort behind the voice but it was just out of reach. Walls around me began melting While the whisper pulled me into a dark forest. I was taking in my surroundings when the whisper split and suddenly a hundred voice's were speaking.  My hand reach forward to steady myself; when it came in contact with a tree that felt so real I was in shock. How could this happen. The Voice's grew louder so I covered my ears. Suddenly a pure silver wolf emerged from the tree's I felt a weird warmth I wanted to reach out. But before I had a chance all noise stopped and I was once again in the hallway outside Ashley's bedroom. My confusion was quickly replaced as the pain in my head returned. For support I leaned against the wall. I felt someone standing next to me but I was in to much pain to notice. A hand garbed my own and forced some aspirin onto my palm, I didn't even think just popped them into my mouth a glass of water fallowing closely behind the pills.   When I finished the water my body started to relax I turned my back against the wall and slowly slide to the floor. I have no idea how long I sat there. When reality returned to me I noticed Ashley sitting right next to me.  A weak smile formed on her lips 

"feel better?" she asked 

"Yes. thank you." I say returning her smile. 

"So Theo and Kate? Who would have thought?" She chuckled. 

"I know right and they really dived in head first.!" 

"Right like take it slow guys." we laughed 

"I guess you get stuck with Eric." I jokingly nudged Ashley 

"What?!" she said as her face paled.

"If we want to be sister's. Eric is the only one of my brothers who could be your mate." 

"um...uh.." 

"I'm just joking." 

"ha ha Yeah" she laughed it off.

" Yeah it would suck if you were Eric's mate."

"He's just so ....." 

" Eric?! " we said together and laughed. 

"Besides you could always be mated to an Amane. " Ashley said 

"That will never happen."  I said sadly

"why?" She said grasping my hand.

"Human's don't have mate's." we sat in silence for a bit when she finally broke the silence.

"well no mater what we should make a pact that even if we find a mate or fall in love we won't try and eat anyone's face." We laughed 

"Unle.."Just as I started speaking she put her hand over my mouth hushing me. I questioned her with my eyes  but I noticed her gaze and turned. Standing by the stairs was Adam he gave us a questioning look as he approached us. My breath caught in my throat. Luckily The alpha's office door opened and swallowed him up before he could investigate.  I looked at Ashley who returned my own causing as to erupt . We rolled around the floor laughing until we were out of energy. 

Later that night we sat in Ashley's bedroom with Isabel, Eliza, and veronica gossiping about the boy's. Soon It was nearly 2 A.M Veronica and Ashley were fast asleep, Eliza had left a few hours to meet with Nate when he got done with patrol, and Isabel was drifting off next to me in the middle of her story. As she finished speaking I covered her with a blanket watching her as she fell asleep. Since my mouth was feeling dry I left the safe reprieve of the bedroom to venture into the dark house. During daytime the alpha's home was so lively and during the night it was freaking scary. Every inch seemed to be taken over by shadow's that shifted to fallow me. When I turned into what should be the kitchen I was met with darkness. My hands went forward in search of light but came up with nothing. Tree's seemed to be emerging from the shadows. Voice's also joined from the shadow's. This can't be happening again.

"TESSA!!" I heard my name being yelled but had no idea where it was coming from. The forest that  now encapsulated me grew silent. A single voice spoke. " you  need to be ready. It is starting." 

"What?" I asked. Walking towards the direction I thought the voice was coming from my confusion grew as my surroundings did not change. Something to my side moved causing me to jerk to the side.   

"Who's out there?" My courage was fleeting as fear became prominent . Suddenly the same silver wolf was in front of me. 

"Selene!" It growled

"I don't understand ?." Fear was gone and confusion took over. 

"The time is here!" The silver wolf lunged at me but disappeared before it made contact with me. Stumbling back I grasped my head as a blinding pain flooded my body. Laying my head  on the forest floor I heard the voice one last time.

" we need him." 

Rolling onto my back I gasped for air as my vision was growing less and less. A shadow of a man loomed over me as I fell into the darkness.
