The Alpha and His Nerd

Lilian POV “That color looks terrible on you, just like everything else. You think anyone would look at you with a face only a mother could love. I’m your mother and I’m telling you your ugly.” The words sting, but not as much as they use to. While Maria stayed going on and on I grabbed my bag and headed to the next hell hole. School. Believe it or not my life wasn’t always this way. Maria my adopted mother wasn’t always mean, she was once the sweetest woman alive. But after my father died in that fire trying to save me and we moved to blossom moon pack,she turned into this walking demon. Maria took it hard wishing he was a werewolf and not a human, she always said if he were a wolf he would of survive. As for my birth parents I have no clue, the orphanage where they adopted me from has no records of them. All they know is that a sister saw a young pup with two discolored eyes at the side of the road and bought me in. “Freak.” Someone slams my locker shut on my finger causing me to crouch down in pain. As much as I hate it here, I’m 17 and will be 18 in two months. That means I’ll be able to move out and get a job in the pack or in the human world. Sadly that would mean, I’ll have to skip out on college but that’s ok at least I’ll be able to focus and have some sort of peace. Class begins and Mr. King starts off with his favorite pop quiz of the week. Everyone boos him but that doesn’t stop him, he still shares the paper like it’s free food. Once the quiz was finished he then started his boring history lesson. Before you know it the bell rings and everyone rushes out, not me doh I stick around for a while. Just enough for the hallways to clear and the cafeteria to be almost empty. “I told you, if you don’t get a back bone you will never get them off your back.” Mr King shouts over to me. “Hmmmm” I didn’t bother saying anything else. He then leaves and within two minutes he returns with two lunch trays. “Eat, the cafeteria is still full and I don’t want you hungry when it’s time to draw blood later. Don’t want you passing out on me now.” He pretends to faint, Right, Mr. King is also a doctor, lecturer and my teacher in the nursing course I’m doing. Because once I’m finished I’m going to become a nurse at the packs hospital or a human hospital. Thank you for good grades and extra credits and a young successful teacher willing to help a nerd out. “Mr king… can you.” Sarsha the school's queen b burst through the door. She stops scrunches up her nose, rolls her eyes and says. “I’ll come back another time, when your not busy.” She slams the door shut. Time goes by and on the five minute mark before my last class I pack my stuff and leave. As I break the door my body is slammed against the wall. “Frankenstein looking slut, trying to seduce your class teacher I see.” Sarsha spits on me, like literally spits on me. “I heard dirty sluts like getting spit on, thought why not test it out myself.” Somehow I manage to wiggle out of her grip and run into the female bathroom, my hands connect with the running water and I scrub at my face over and over and over. All I want is for this day to end, please.., “Would Lilian please come to the office, I really would Lilian palease come to the office.” Grabbing my books and wiping my face I hurry off to the office thinking what more could be waiting for me. The office receptionist sports me a frown, that meant it was bad…. Really bad usually she would give me a smile or a thumbs up. “Lilian.” Coach carter smiles at me. That man doesn’t smile, he doesn’t even blink so something must be really up. Is it because I’m flunking his class. The principal then gestures at me to sit, which I do. A couple minutes pass by and we sit in silence. “I have to be in class..” “I know just give us two more minutes where waiting for the other student to show.” “Other student.” Before I could ask another question the door opens and Nilian West walks in. Nilian West is the schools hotty, football star and even better our packs Alpha to be in about five months and three days. I only know because I don’t plan on sticking around for that ceremony. “What’s this about and why is she here?” The words leave his mouth like cold ice on a snowy day. His eyes just at mine rolled in five different directions and then back on coach Carter. “ I’ll cut to the chase, your grades dropped drastically and if you can’t get it up in the next two months you’ll be off the team Alpha or not, star player or not.” The principal hit him hard, the words weighed more than me and a ton of bricks together. Then and only then we both understood why we were in the office together. “Hell no.” The words rush out our mouth like the bullet train in Japan. “I’m not tutoring him.” “I wouldn’t be seen drop dead with this discolored two eyed freak. Coach there must be something you could do about this.” Coach carter looks down and shakes his head a hot NO. “ it’s school policy, get the grades up or your off.” Nilian eyes go from dark brown to a deep faded red, taking a good guess that his wolf is trying to come fort and I’m just a measly little omega. I think it’s time to make myself disappear quickly. Nilians wolf is strong, so strong he himself can’t control him, usually when he gets out of control his father, Bets and a group of Warriors have to fight him down at one point they even had to use sedation. Even though my wolf and I aren’t connected, I have never turned. I could feel her whimpering at the back of my mind. She is in flight mode so best do like a plane and really take off. “I could see things getting a little out of hand, coach Carter, Principal.. am… I think I will leave now.” “Sit down omega.” A loud growl comes loose from his throat and my body drops down in the chair I once was sitting on, with my head dropping low and fingers fiddling. I await what could happen next. “Nilian West, we do not use Alpha aura in this school.” The principal shouts behind him. A loud growl burst out his mouth echoing and shaking the schools foundation, the principal and coach carter both bow their head in submittion. Just as I thought things were about to take a drastic turn, Anthony, Nilian’s Beta burst through the door. “ Leave.” He tugs at my shoulder and I raise quickly from my seat. Nilian grabs me from behind, pins me against the wall and says very calming but with the authority of a thousand legal soldiers. “Look at me.” I look up with out hesitation, I could feel everyone’s eyes on us and I mean everyone because Anthony left the door wide open. With his head low, I hear the Alpha in him say. “You, you think you're too good to help us.” His head snaps to mine, our eyes make four and the red in his slowly fades away.. it’s as if he was becoming soft… not as if, his eyes were soft, it held so much pain, uncertainty and calmed at the same time. Anthony grabs him from behind along with coach carter and I ran out the office, my body automatically pausing at the group of kids watching me. Then my eyes land directly on her, ohh yeah did I forget to mention Sarsha is Nilians mate, so that makes her our soon to be Luna. “I’ll kill you.” She mouths to me and I just run straight out the school door and straight to my nursing class.
