Chapter 21
As they entered the restaurant, Silky Aria rushed over to embrace Jessie tight, tears shining in her eyes. “I’ve missed you so much!”
Returning the hug Jessie felt a twinge of guilt for not having called her since returning to town. Jessie and two of the Aria sisters had met in high school and become fast friends. As such, they were considered part of the Bradshaw family.
The Aria family had been one of the first to inhabit the town, and each generation had elected to stay on including at least part of the current. Silky still lived in town, as did the younger sister Roxy, when she wasn’t off conducting investigations for the PI firm she worked for. Only Kat had completely left, moving out to California after graduating high school and not returning.
