"How is she doing?" I asked, unable to take my eyes off the baby.
"She is still unconscious but they have slowed the bleeding and they are giving her blood." The nurse, Lora, said.
"Thank you." I said gruffly. I was a mess. I didn't like my pack seeing me like this but they knew the mate bond. There were few things more painful than losing your mate and I couldn't even bear the thought of it.
