Chapter 17: Spend Time

“I don’t understand you know..”Callahan started. “How would you like that kind of guy? I mean..he seemed to be..how do I say it?" He paused as if he is trying to think of the right word. "Cold? Unaffectionate? And no offense but..sounds like..he doesn’t like you?!” he bluntly said without considering my feelings that I almost flinch!
How nice of him?!
And it feels like he is rubbing a grain of salt in my wound.
It hurts.
But what he said is true so I have no right to get mad at him!
Megan and Amber have gone out to have lunch, while I and Callahan will go to the Cafeteria, I’m going to meet Roux there and also my sister.
While, Callahan..will be joining his friends. I wonder, what type of friends he has?
“Yeah, you wouldn’t really understand,” I said in a bored tone and shrugged.
I can feel his eyes on me, but I just continued walking. I can also feel everyone around us are looking, they might be curious why we are together?!
But, duh! I don’t care..it is not as if I have to explain to them.
They can gossip all they want, just make sure I won't hear them, or else I am going to seal their mouth with whatever is near me that I can use!
“And..you know what, as a guy’s opinion..I am telling you.. he likes your sister based on how your friends described it.” He said nonchalantly.
He is really so inconsiderate!
He knows how much I like Roux, and here he is telling me that the guy I like, likes my sister!
I stopped walking that made him stop too.
Slowly, I turned to glare at him. If looks could kill, he is probably dead now!
“Shut it, Mr. Know it all!” I hissed. His eyes grew wide then he raised his hands. "Not because you are a guy, you already know what Roux is thinking or feeling!"
“Hey, I’m not trying to pick a fight, Princess.. I am just saying my opinion-“
“Opinion that I did not even ask, by the way. So save it, because I don't need it!” I sarcastically said.
He scratches his head and was about to open his mouth and speak when I saw Roux on his way to the Cafeteria.
My sour mood suddenly faded. When I saw Roux, it is like, my day brightens!
I just forgot how annoyed am I at Callahan!
I turned to look at him again and gave him a smile.
“I have to go. Enjoy your lunch!”I said in an excited tone and left him without waiting for his reply.
He called me, maybe he is wondering why I left him or why I am running. But I ignored him.
I have no time for him because it is my Roux's time!
I ran towards Roux.
“Roux!” I called.
Roux stopped and turned to look at me, when I was already beside him, he started walking again as if he is not affected by my presence and I just walked by his side while grinning. Not caring if he did not greet me at all.
We went to our favorite spot. All eyes are on us.
And again, I DON'T CARE.
“Your sister?” he asked and I almost roll my eyes at him. Good thing I was able to stop myself.
I put my LV on the table.
“Not sure..she said she will meet us here.” I shrugged.
“Let’s wait for her then before ordering.” He said coldly and I just nodded with a bright smile on my lips.
His face is blank as usual, but it is okay, I am used to it.
Besides, he will be annoyed with me sooner or later, which means he will soon have emotions on his face, so yeah..it is fine.
I mentally giggled at that idea.
“So..how’s you,r classes?” I asked, I can’t think of any other topic.
From his phone, his eyes transferred to mine.
“Fine.” He answered shortly before he turned to his phone again.
I badly want to snatch his phone so I can have his attention, but of course, I can’t do that because he will get mad.
And I don’t want to ruin his mood..
Well actually being with me, means his mood is already ruined since he is forced to do things.. so yeah..I don’t want to add up to his bad mood.
Because he might walk away!
“I want to buy something in the mall later..please come with me?” I said nicely and sweetly.
And hey, I said please! Which is so rare! He is just so lucky because I am trying to give him special treatment!
He took a deep breath then he looks at me again. I raised my eyebrow at him with a smile on my face.
He knows very well that he can’t say no. He knows I have power over him.
“Let’s asked Sacha to come with us then.” He said as he watched my reaction.
As if he is trying to piss me.
“Ohhh..too bad. She can’t join us because she will be working on a project with her groupmates in our house.” I smirked at him.
His brows furrowed.
“Who’s groupmates?” he asked darkly.
“The one with the basketball team guys!” I giggled.
His jaw clenched, and his hand on the table turned into a fist.
He looks mad.
My lips parted.
He is really affected.
Could it be.. Callahan is right?
Does he like my sister?
I pursed my lips.
Even if he likes my sister. Sacha cannot like him back! Because she promised! And I know she will never, get into my way!
“Let’s just buy whatever you need tomorrow..Let’s just…stay in your house..” he tried to trick me.
I sucked my breath as my eyes narrowed as I looked at him.
He clearly wanted to look after my sister!
“Nope. We should do it today.” I said firmly without breaking our eye contact.
“What’s so important that you have to buy today that you can’t buy it tomorrow?!” He asked irritatedly.
“Why do you even want to go to our house?” I asked.
I know the answer, but I wanted him to realize that there is no reason for him to go to our house. Sacha did not invite him, I didn’t too..and it is not like he can visit my sister because she will be busy!
He closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose.
Then he opened his eyes and looked into my eyes.
“You said, you wanted to spend time with me? Then..let’s watch a movie in your house or something!” he sounded desperate.
My lips parted.
He is really desperate..but..I can use that to my advantage.
I smirked at him.
If that is what you want..then okay, I will give it to you, but I promise you...you will not succeed in whatever plan you have.
“Fine.” I said that made him look relieved.
