SOPHIE'S POV: As I was checking myself in the mirror, my phone flashed, signaling for a call. It was from Trisha, so I answered it. "Hey, Trish." I greeted her warmly. "Uhh, Soph. Sorry to interrupt. But my car broke down. Dad won't let me borrow the other car, since this is the second car that had to be fixed because of me and he won't drive me to school because they grounded me for that. Can you plea-.." I laughed. "I'll be there within 10 minutes." I didn't even give her a chance to thank me. I went down and ate my breakfast. Kissing both my parents on their cheeks. Mom was grinning, "Have a great day. Bye, sweetie!" She looks so creepy when she does that. My father also waved goodbye. I crunched my nose before driving off to Trisha's house. The gate instantly opened at the sight of me. As soon as I went out of the car, she hugged me. "Sophie! Sorry for the trouble!" I shook my head, "No, no! Not at all.." I turned to her mom. "..Mrs. Hane, good morning." I smiled a bit. "Thank you for this, Sophie. Oh and Sophie, dear. Take good care of your things. You know how Trisha's a living curse." She winked before going inside their house. "Mom.." She groaned. We went inside the car. I giggled, "Well, isn't she just the sweetest?" I buckled my seatbelt as she did the same. "Yeah, mom's a ray of sunshine. Bravo!" She huffed and crossed her arms. I laughed before turning on the engine and driving to school. ~ TRISHA'S POV: Our first and second periods worked out really well. The fact that we didn't have lessons, our teachers were either getting ready for the finals or for graduation and my classmates were working on their own lives. Sophie and I decided to eat out later. Graduating students, please proceed to the gym. The AP system rang. We stood up to leave but Hanna blocked our way. "Excuse us, Hanna, you're blocking our way." Sophie tried her best to say that as calmly as possible. "We're not done talking." She snaked her hand to her hips. I faked a smile, "There's none to talk about." We turned to her side to leave but her friends blocked our way once more. "Don't you dare turn your back while I'm talking?" Sophie sighed, "What do you want?" "The exams are next week and I need you both to give me answers." I looked at her weirdly. "Hanna, there's this thing called studying." She groaned. "But I don't wanna study!" "Uhm, that's not our problem, that's yours." I grabbed Sophie's hand and started walking again, making sure to flip my hair on her face. "Excuse me?!" I stopped in my tracks and turned back at her. "Oh and, we don't care." We started walking again. "Ugh!" She stomped and walked away too. We laughed. Sophie clapped. "You sassy girl!" She asked for a high five. She then punched me playfully and we continued laughing. We entered the gym, which was full of students. Female students mostly. Some of them are not even seniors yet. "I bet everybody's here to boy hunt," Sophie whispered to me, and I agreed. Yeah, I bet they are. Southchester University is a popular school for its good-looking boys and smart students. A professor grabbed the mic, "Junior students, please make your way out to give way to the seniors." Yeah right. Students groaned as the gym ground cleared. Just as some unfamiliar students with black and maroon uniforms went in. Southchester University... Damn, they are attractive. Both males and females. Oh, that's what Headmistress Granger said yesterday. You could see the girls through the glass panes giggling and very excited, wanting to go inside. I looked around at the students from Southchester Academy. "S, look, he's definitely your type." I slightly pointed at the guy on top of the stage with brown hair. "He's too tall for me." She answered and laughed. "Oh come on, he's hot." She grinned with an excited nod. "Please welcome the graduating students from SCU (Southchester University)," the Headmistress spoke through the mic. Every one of us clapped. "They will be staying here for quite a while, join you for practice, and take their finals here. Okay, I hope you all will get along." The headmistress gave the mic to -I'm guessing- the headmaster of SCU. He continued his speech with gratitude and life lessons. After the announcements, everybody started exiting the gyms. The gym's almost empty. There were just jocks and more other students. Some of the students from our school and SCU are already getting along, especially the jocks with the SCU jocks too. Some girls had already marked their target and started flirting. Most students probably left to eat lunch. "Hey S-" I turned but noticed Sophie was gone. Where is she again? I tried to look for Sophie but someone was running so I came crashing with a hard chest. I fell on my ass. "Watch where you're going." A low voice said and I saw him starting to walk away. He didn't even help me when it was in fact his fault! I stood up. "Excuse me?" He stopped and looked at me with a straight face. "What?" I was looking at a very tall man with a dark brown-haired guy and brown eyes. Okay, damn he's hot. No! Trisha, focus! "You were the one running around like a freshly freed pig!" He sighed. "Sorry then. Are we done?" He turned to leave again. "Excuse me? Can you at least try and be sincere about it?" He approached me. "Look, I don't have time to argue with you, okay. So take my apology or leave it." He was about to walk away. My eyes widened. This arrogant bastard. I saw Sophie coming towards me from the corner of my eye. "Who do you think you are?" Sophie stood in front of me. He glared down at Sophie. "Who the f-.?" The bastard was cut off by another voice. "Jey, just apologize." It was Tyler. Jey? Wait, that means he is the brother of Tyler? Jeyden Luke Dawson. Now I get it. They are the complete opposite. But they do have some resemblance. These giants. "Tyler, there you are." They made a fist bump. Uhm, hello? We're right here. I scoffed. Tyler looked at us. "Right. Jey, just apologize already." The jerk looked down at me and Sophie before looking at Tyler again. "Who are these annoying cubs, Ty?" "Uhm, what? Who are you calling cubs?" Sophie shook my hand off her wrist. She went near the stupid guy, trying to look strong. But only by looking at heights. The bastard's completely towering her. Sophie is about 5'6 and this guy's about 6'2. Big difference. "Soph, stop." But she didn't listen. "Sophie, let's just go." I took her hand but she shook it off and completely ignored me. Still continuing the death glare with each other. I sighed and went to her side. Pushing her lightly... "Persophonie Duval, stop already. Let's just leave him." The guy snapped his head at me. "Did you just say Persophonie Duval?" It was almost a glare. If looks could kill, I'd probably melted till death by now. "Why?" I asked. "What's wrong with my name, huh?" Sophie interrupted. "You're Sophie?" He turned to her. "Yeah, so?" "You've changed." He only looked at her weirdly. She looked confused and angry at the same time. "You know me?" He attempted to leave again. "Oh no, you're not getting away with this. How do you know me?" She ran in front of him. "Doesn't matter. I'm sure even you don't wanna know." This guy seriously knows how to ruin moods. "Jey!" Tyler gave him a warning. Sophie huffed in anger. "Then piss off!" She stomped off, grabbed my hand, and dragged me with her. "Harpy woman." He sighed. "This marriage is so out of me." He mumbled, but enough for me to hear before walking off. Wait, marriage? We stopped in front of the gymnasium. "He is the biggest jerk!" She stopped for a bit. "He is getting on my nerves. Ugh!" I shrugged my shoulders. "Let me apologize to my brother. Sorry about him, Trish. I'm sorry Sophie." Tyler came from behind me. I blushed, "Uhm...it was no problem." He's so dreamy. "That was quite a show." He said, motioning to Sophie. I laughed and he bid him a 'see ya', then left. Sophie was grinning so broadly. This girl. She probably had forgotten about what happened already. I laughed and pushed her lightly before we started walking again. "Hey S. That guy, he's Jey." I told her. "Oh, whatever. He and his girly games." "How is that?" She shrugged, "Grumpy and all. That's just uncool." "Yeah, uncool." An idea popped up, "About your marriage. Did your mom mention a name?" "She actually did. It was Luke...I think? Why?" Her brows furrowed. Jeyden Luke Dawson. That explains... "Oh, nothing. Just curiosity."
