Chapter 15: Deceleration of War!

1550 Words
The morning after the Twins were up early and packing. They knew where they were going, the Jurassic Coastline in Dorset. Famous for sites like Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Kimmeridge Bay, it was perfect place to hold the challenge. The Twins heard a know on the door and Alannah, James and Kurt walked in. None of the trio looked happy. “What?” Ethan asked. “You have not seen?” James asked with a frown “The challenge site? Yeah we got the coordinates last night and we are ready to go!” Aiden said The Trio looked at each other before Kurt said “I thought you were going to sort it out with Bonny last night?” “We tried but we were stopped by Jack!” Ethan moaned “Yeah, we were told that we would be broken like glow sticks if we went near her!” Aiden scoffed. “So she knew about the other two then?” Alannah said “They were all in the elevator on the way up!” Ethan said. Kurt snapped “f*****g hell guys! Do you have any idea what is at stake here? She needs to be 110% focused, not nursing a broken heart!” “Nursing a broken heart? What are you talking about?“ Aiden said Alannah took out her phone and tapped on a video before passing it to the Twins. The Twins suddenly saw Bee on a stage with Jack and two other Japanese people. Bee was singing a Japanese pop song with the Japanese man. The crowd was going wild as Bee managed the extremely fast paced song whilst drinking out of a bottle of rice wine.  At the end of the song the music ended, Bee said in a slurred voice  “Oh my lovely friends you are too kind, so I am going to tell you something really....really...important! Never...ever...and I mean ever....trust anyone from a land gang! They....lie....take advantage of our good nature....and ..treat us like ....like s**t! I say enough! I say we take back the seas!” The video ended with the crowd going wild and shouting “Siren! Siren! Siren!” “Ah” Aiden said “Ah? Ah!?! You f*****g idiots have brought our Syndicate to brink of bloody WAR with the SEA GANGS!” Kurt roared. “It is OK Kurt, they are going to fix this...aren’t you boys?” Alannah said with a serious look. “No, this is too serious for us to leave it to them two! Even Frank is not answering my calls or Theo’s for that matter!” Kurt said clearly turning into the Chairman and taking control of the situation. “James, make sure accommodations and everything is sorted for the challenge. Alannah order a gift for Bee’s Grandparents. It has to be thoughtful and simple” Kurt said. “Well, I have heard that Leonid And Rosemary like their cider....maybe something from our private orchard?” Alannah said. Kurt kissed her on the forehead and said “Perfect! I knew there was a reason I married you. Make sure there is a note asking for an audience with them tonight.”  Alannah nodded and said “Of course, what about Bee?” “Can I suggest maybe we hire her a personal chef and sport’s physio ? She might appreciate it with the challenge in two days. Plus the Krakens might enjoy it as well, especially with Midsummer’s night the day after” James suggested. Midsummer’s night was a huge celebration with the Sea Gangs, their parties were the stuff of legends. “Yes, of course! Good idea James, thank you. Hopefully, with a bit of luck we can avoid any wars” Kurt said sounding usually stressed.  “What about us two?” Aiden said eagerly. Kurt glared at them both and the Twins  counted their lucky stars that the King saw them as family. “You will come with us and will apologise profusely to the Krakens. You will also apologise to Bee and  then you will stay away from her!” Kurt ordered. “What....what if she doesn’t want us to stay away from her?” Ethan asked in a hopeful voice. “Did you guys watch the same video that we did?” James asked with a raised eyebrow. The Twins faces looked so defeated that Alannah was beginning to worry. ============================= “Dear Mother Octopus and all her Octopus children !” Bee said as she woke up with  the Mother of all headaches. “Octopi” Jack murmured  “What?” Bee said slowly sitting up. “The plural of octopus is Octopi!” Jack explained. It was only then she noticed that they were moving. “Oh God? Where are we?” Bee moaned as she felt her stomach churn. “Where are we she asks? You my Dear are in Babe Mobile heading to the challenge!” Liam said from the Driver’s seat. Bee looked round and saw that she was in a VW camper van that was burnt orange and kitted out with a 70s interior. It was Liam’s pride and joy, but it was slow....very slow. “Oh no!” Bee moaned. “Oh no? This is a piece of history! There is a bucket and some water by you, as I am guessing you had the Mother of all hang overs!” Liam said. “How did you guess?” Bee said  “Well, you did hit the Rice Wine really hard last night and..” Liam said suddenly looking concerned. “And what?” Bee said sipping water. “ You basically declared war on the land gangs! I quote “Never...ever...and I mean ever....trust anyone from a land gang! They....lie....take advantage of our good nature....and ..treat us like ....like s**t! I say enough! I say we take back the seas!” Liam said. Jack laughed and said “Oh yeah! I remember that, it was epic Bee!   Bee spat out her water over Jack and he moaned “Gross!” “s**t, s**t, s**t! Has anyone contacted us?” Bee said trying to find her phone. “Yeah, but there is no need to worry. We are already here!” Liam said as he turned into a large field. Bee gasped as she saw how many people had already come. There were many different flags identifying each Gang’s area. The richer Gangs had employed people to set up camp for them, the poorer or more paranoid ones were doing it themselves. The largest area was already set up and the Forger’s Gang flag fluttered in the wind.  Bee crouched down so no one would see her, even though the vehicle she was in might as well be lit beacon.  “No point doing that Bee, The Forgers ordered the Krakens’s to set up camp right next to them!” Liam said “Of course they bloody did!”  Jack moaned as the Camper Van rolled to a stop.  No sooner had it stopped then a loud male voice boomed “We know you are in Bonny Clearwater, so come on out!” Bee closed her eyes and took a deep breath before getting out of the Camper Van. There she saw a giant of a man, with sliver hair and dark tanned skin and grey eyes. He stood at over six foot eight inches and was muscle bound from years of hard work. He looked younger then his 64 years and there was no mistaking who he was: Leonid Clearwater. “It is as I told you Father, she got drunk last night and declared war on the Land Gangs!” Frank snapped. “Grandfather, I am so..” Bee started to say but before she could she was engulfed by huge arms and pulled in a bear hug. “Bonny, my sweet child, we have missed you!” Leonid said in a rare moment of sentimentally  “I missed you too” Bee said with tears in her eyes. She had not seen him in over 2 years. “You smell like a cat’s arse!” Leonid said. “I know” Bee murmured  “And you gotten involved with Land Gang affairs?” Leonid asked. “Yeap and declared war on them too!” Bee said in a defeated tone. He might as well know everything. Leonid suddenly burst out laughing and said “Aye well you definitely got them scurrying then around like rats on a sinking ship! We had none stop delivers and messages from the British King and Queen. In fact they want to meet us in a couple of hours!” “I will apologise Grandfather!” Bee said “You will do no such thing! You are a Siren, not some doormat! What you will do is sober up and clean yourself up.” Leonid ordered “Yes Grandfather” Bee said dutifully. “Good. Now let’s see what the Land Gangs want.” Leonid said with a grin. He had a feeling he was going to enjoy the next few days!
