Chapter 16: What do you do with a drunken Sailor?

Bee was stumbling around the Kraken’s encampment trying to find her tent. It was not an easy task, as her head was still pounding. She suddenly heard a shriek of delight and was engulfed in a female’s arms.

“Holly!” Bee said happily.

“Bee you are back! Well, back in this country anyway! Life has been so boring without you and Bram has been so moody!” Holly said as Bee looked at her best friend. Only born two days apart, Bee and Holly had been inseparable. Holly was 5 foot 6, with dark chestnut hair that was so curly it formed cute spirals all over her head. She had a round face, with dark green eyes and plump red lips that Bee would die to have. Holly also had freckles all over her nose, that became prominent in the summer. 

“Jeez you stink like a litter tray!” Holly said bluntly 

“Yeah I know!” Bee groaned.

“Well we need to get you sobered up and presentable. You know there is only one way to do that, and don’t worry we are all prepared!” Holly said dragging Bee along a path.

“I am hoping it involves a warm shower and some painkiller!” Bee said hopefully. She was hoping that she was not going where she think she was!

“Nonsense, there is only one way to deal with a drunken sailor!” Holly said firmly.

“Does that include Jack?” Bee said with a smile.

“Jack? Jack Collins is here?” Holly said trying not to sound too interested. 

“Why yes, did I not mention that?” Bee said in a teasing tone. Jack and Holly were very much into each other, but both of them were too proud or shy to make the first move. It was a long running joke among the Sea Gangs and some people even had bets on now long it would take for the, to get together. They would make the perfect couple, Holly’s down to Earth attitude would perfectly compliment Jack’s dramatic tendencies.

“No, you did not!” Holly said as they were walking towards a cliff edge. Bee looked over it and as expected saw Bram waiting in a boat below.

“Hello sweetheart! I see my youngest sister has found you!” Bram shouted up from the boat. 

“Pleeease don’t make me do this Holly!” Bee pleaded. The water looked freezing and she really did not want to jump in.

“Stop being a soft land looooover!” Jack shouted as he ran up behind them and dived off the cliff into the sea below. There was a loud crash as entered the water and after a few seconds came back up shouting “Yeah! That is what I am talking about! Bram my man, how are you?”

“You are not going to let Jack out do are you Siren?” Liam said as he stood by them.

“No she isn’t!” Holly said and Bee sighed. She walked back about 10 meters, before running and diving in. She had time to do a couple of forward rolls, just to prove she was not going to be out done before she dived into the water. The coldness instantly made her much more awake and her heart suddenly leaped with joy at being in the sea. This is where she belonged, always Bee thought as she swam under water for a bit and came to the surface. 

“Elegant as always Bee!” Bram said with a smile. At 6 foot 3, Bram had light brown hair that was less curly like his sister’s. He also had green eyes, but was a darker colouring the his sister. Her was currently just wearing trousers, fully exposing his 6 pack and perfectly formed pecks. He displayed his Karen gang tattoo with pride. Unlike Land Gangs, Sea Gang members always had their Gang tattoo in the same area...the left shoulder and arm. A large black Kraken’s head was on Bram’a shoulder with the Kraken’s tentacles wrapped round his arm and neckline. Bee had exactly the same tattoo, though she had a Siren on her right arm and other Sea Gang tattoos on her back.

“You know me, always like to please!” Bee said as she heard two more splashed. Holly and Liam had come to join them. Cliff jumping was a popular past time for the Sea Gangs and it prepared them for when they had to enter cold water quickly.

“I would like to try that theory out some time!” Bram said with a flirtatious smile, making Bee blush. Bram chuckled, obviously pleased at Bee’s reaction.

“Oh haven’t you heard Bram? Bee has caught the eye of the Canadian Princes!” Jack said with a grin.

“She has what?” Holly exclaimed 

“It is nothing!” Bee protested whilst glaring at Jack. Jack was such a gossip!

“I don’t care, I want all the details! The Twins are so dreamy!” Holly said and Bee sighed before updating her old  friends.

“They’re here! Do you want me to welcome them in?” James asked Kurt and Alannah. The Twins looked at each other nervously, they knew that they would only one shot at this and they needed to get it right. 

“Of course, please show them in” Kurt said with a deep breath. James nodded and went out of the temporary log cabin that had been put up for them. A large room with a roaring fire, comfortable chairs and a sheepskin rug, it was a perfect room to make peace in.

“Relax, Bee and Frank will be there!”  Alannah said with a small smile. She had never seen Kurt this nervous about anything. Before Kurt could answer a group of 5 people came in with James.

“May I introduce Rosemary and Lenoid Clearwater the Leaders of the Kraken Sea Gang and Bram Seyler, the head of Kraken’s security and personal BodyGuard to the Siren. You already know Bonny Clearwater, the Siren and Frank Clearwater, the next Kraken Captain” James said formally.

The Twins looked at Bee and gasped. She was in a simple white sleeveless dress, that was flared at the bottom. It showed off her gang tattoo’s perfectly as well as her figure. Her hair was done in a simple brace and she had a pair of sea glass drop earrings. Bee was making a point of not looking at them and Bram was standing very close to her.

“Welcome, as you know I am Kurt Blackwood and this is my wife Alannah Blackwood” Kurt said.

“We are very pleased you came and welcome!” Alannah said with a welcoming smile.

“Of course, we would not turn down such a lovely invitation!” Rosemary said returning the smile. Rosemary was an older women who had long silver hair tied up in a simple bun and grey eyes. Leonid grumped and Rosemary glared a warning at her husband.

“Thank you! May I introduce Ethan and Aiden Trembley, Canadian Princes” Alannah said

“We already know who people are, especially those two! So shall we get to? Why are your arseholes twitching like a ferrets nose that has just smelt a rabbit’s hole?” Lenoid asked. Bee and Bram tried not to smile at their Captain’s bluntness.

“A man of business I see, I like that! Please sit and we can talk about things” Kurt said indicating with to the chairs.

“I see no harm in discussing things” Bee said diplomatically as she sat down on one of the sofa’s. The Twins made a B line for her but Bram and Frank got their first.

“Don’t even think about it!” Frank growled as he sat by her and the Twins nodded. Bee still had not looked at either of them, if she had she would have seen their desperate faces. 

When everyone was comfortable, Kurt began. “We just wanted to meet you to formally thank you for allowing Bee to accept the challenge on our behalf”

“Bee is her own women, she has always made her proud and we trust her” Leonid said with a shrug. Bee blushed and smiled at the praise.

“Yes, she is a remarkable lady and I can see why you are proud of her!” Alannah said genuinely.

“Indeed we are, which is why we don’t appreciate her being treated ...unkindly” Rosemary said with a hard glint in her grey eyes.

“Grandmother, please it does not matter” Bee said wishing the floor would swallow her hole.

“But it does Bee” Aiden said suddenly getting up and kneeling in front of her. 

Ethan did the same before saying “We know we hurt you, but it was unintentional. We had ended it with those two...ladies before we got involved with you”

“It is true and we can show you evidence to back that up!” Aiden said

“You can?” Bee said softly as she looked at them for the first time. She saw a look of genuine remorse on their faces.

“Yes Bee, we can! We made it clear to them that it is over! But we are so sorry we hurt you!” Ethan said as he took a risk and grabbed her hand.

“Please forgive us Bee!” Aiden said as he took her other hand.

“I...I suppose if what you say is true, then there has been no harm done” Bee said with a small smile.

“I can assure you that what they said is true and my Syndicate can provide evidence upon request” Kurt said carefully. This was going well so far! Bee is obviously keen on the Twins, as much as she is trying to hide it! He thought.

“There is no need, I believe them” Bee said before anyone could say it.

She was rewarded with a smile from the Twins. Ethan said “Are we forgiven then?”

“Of course! Sea Gangs don’t hold grudges and I am sure we can be ..” Bee was beginning to say good friends, but she stopped. The Twins had got up off their Knees and were looking straight at Lenoid and Rosemary. They both bowed before Ethan said “I, Ethan Trembley of the Aspen Gang and Prince of the Canadian Syndicate”

“And I Aiden Trembley of the Aspen Gang and also Prince of the Canadian Syndicate formally request permission to court your Granddaughter, Bonny Clearwater,” Aiden said.

“She is the most wonderful women we have ever met and we would be forever grateful for the privilege of courting her” Ethan said to the shocked looking Grandparents.

“What!?” Bee squeaked in shocked.
