Alejandro laughed at Elissa’s reaction. That was what he was waiting for. The woman’s surprised reaction. He was not planning to kiss Shalsey for real, and Shalsey knew that too. She was just participating in Alejandro’s plan. The man informed Shalsey in advance about making his ex-wife jealous.

Shalsey was a good friend of his, and was already in a relationship with his best friend, Carlo. Alejandro was so happy, he thought that Elissa was still affected. He was thinking that the woman still had feelings for him. That boosted his ego.

While on the other hand, Elissa was disgusted with the man. She couldn’t believe what she was witnessing. How could the man she married before be this womanizer now? Yes, the man cheated on her, but how could he do that again and again? She pitied the woman she thought Alejandro was with right now.

They left with a smile on Alejandro’s face, while Elissa was frowning. She was frowning even when they were already inside Alejandro’s car. The woman wasn’t happy about what she had just witnessed.

“Come on, don’t tell me you’re jealous?” Alejandro accused her.

Elissa unbelievably looked at him. Is he for real? He must be dreaming! There was no way I would get jealous! Elissa thought.

“In your dreams!”

Alejandro laughed. He was enjoying every reaction of his ex-wife. At some point, the man forgot that he wanted to get revenge on her.

They arrived at the farm. Alejandro went to the field while Elissa went to her table inside the office. She finished all the tasks that she left earlier. An hour later, Elissa’s stomach was already growling. She remembered that she only had salad, and that was not enough for her tummy. That was all Alejandro’s fault, for not ordering steak for her.

Elissa continued doing all her job despite her hunger. She hated the fact that her ex-husband was obviously playing games with her. But the hell she cares, she could eat vegetable salad every day if she had to. She would not quit her job just because of that. She would just eat the food she wanted after work.

“Tomorrow, I would like you to come with me to the field,” Alejandro said, as soon as he entered the office.

He informed Elissa. The woman was puzzled by the sudden announcement of Alejandro. In the first days of her work, the man did not want her in the field. Even during the farm harvest, but what now? Did he think of something? Is he planning something?

Or he wants to torture her on the field. She was a secretary, not a farmer.

“Alright, but may I know what I will be doing on the field tomorrow?” Elissa tried to ask him.

If he wanted her to work on the farm field, that was way out of her job. But she would be ready just in case. Alejandro did not answer her, he remained silent as he went to his table. Elissa was still staring at him, hoping the man would answer her question. But no words had come out of his mouth.

Alejandro was now serious, the opposite of his mood when they came from the meeting with Shalsey earlier. Elissa was a bit confused about his behavior. Did something happen during his inspection at the farm? Did he fight a farmer? Or someone pissed him off? A lot of questions were going inside Elissa’s head. But all that question remained in her head. She didn’t dare to ask him, as it could possibly lead to more irritation for him.

The day ended, but Alejandro did not make fun of Elissa anymore. He remained silent doing all the things on his table. He was silent while signing and reviewing some papers. He was focused on his work, which was not usual for Elissa. The woman was used to his nonstop errands, but this afternoon something was different for him.

Despite confusion and a bit of worry about the man, Elissa chose to shut her mouth, and not ask him any questions.

And his silence was actually a blessing in disguise. She could work in peace. No one was bothering her, she was just there and focused on her work.

The farm has a company bus for the employees as their service. Elissa rode that everyday going home. Elissa bid goodbye to Alejandro because she knew that the bus was already waiting for the employees.

“I’m leaving,” she said.

Alejandro did not even bother raising his head to look at her. Weird.

Elissa just shrugged her shoulders and left. It did not matter to her what his problem was. As long as she can live and work in peace, it doesn’t matter.

On the other hand, Alejandro was silent after he received a call from his sister. Santina called him after learning the truth about his secretary.

“Are you stupid?” Santina asked him from the other line.

Alejandro’s forehead creased. What was his sister’s problem? She just called, and what? Call him stupid? What the hell was wrong with her?

“What’s your freaking problem?” He asked, very pissed.

He was under the sun checking all the farmers when his sister called him through his phone. He thought that his little sister might be missing him or going to ask a favor from him. But he was wrong. The first thing Santina asked him was if he was stupid.

“I heard who the hell your secretary was!” Santina sounded mad.

She had obviously heard that her brother’s secretary was his ex-wife. She knew how much Alejandro was hurt when Elissa left him. He was very devastated at that time, it was almost the end of the world for Alejandro. Santina worked so hard to comfort her brother, and to bring him back to their farm. Now that he was living his life again, the woman was back in his life. How could she just sit still abroad?

“What’s wrong with my secretary?” Alejandro asked his sister, as if nothing was actually wrong.

But he knew his sister would never be at ease knowing that Elissa was around him. He doesn’t know where Santina heard about Elissa working for him, but it was bad news.

He was just starting to have fun with Elissa, but now his little sister had already found out.

“Fire her,” Santina said in a serious voice.
