Celine’s POV "Oh my God," someone gasped. "Did she simply pass out on Phillip?" I could hear chuckles and whispers around me. With shock in his eyes, Phillip stood motionless. He parted his lips as if to say something, but nothing came out. Now what should I do? My mind was blank. I just wanted to vanish. I closed my eyes and let myself fall, mindlessly. Against Phillip's strong chest, I felt as if by some miracle. He had warm, firm arms. "Damn! I had no idea he was so muscular. Stupid alcohol," I thought to myself. "Celine!" Mary ran to me, shouting. "What's wrong with her? What did you do?" Panic filled Mary's voice. "I did not do anything."Phillip's voice rumbled against my ear, "Call an ambulance now!" Mary let out a cry and threw herself at me. "Now call my doctor and take her to a room!" Phillip gave the order for his bodyguard. My heart pounded. I would be in trouble if they discovered that I was acting. I started to tell Mary, but she interrupted me. "She is not pregnant! "No doctor can see her," Mary sobbed. Phillip sighed. "Alright, move the car to the front!" The room went quiet. I then heard a few giggling voices. Phillip helped me stand up. I could feel his bare chest against my face. It made sense to me now why people were laughing, but I remained motionless. When we arrived at the car, Mary and I were seated in the back. Mary pinched me when I tried to peek, so I bit my lip to control my yell. "Close your eyes,” Mary whispered. What? Did he realize I was acting? That was just the way she was. "Have you said anything?" Phillip asked. Mary cut herself off, "Yes, I was wondering what you said to her before she fainted." "Why?" Phillip's voice was neutral. "If Celine or her child suffer any harm," Mary forewarned. "Celine, I told her she looked like Johnson's girlfriend," Phillip said, c*****g his head. "The girlfriend of Johnson?"Mary's words came out choppy. "Knockoff?" Mary sounded irritated, and I could hear it. She was going to blow up. There were only three dresses. Johnson's girlfriend, myself, and my mother each received one. So, it was a knockoff. His girlfriend? Phillip had a woman? How about my child and me? I felt hurt and used. He had no idea. When we got to the hospital, they wheeled me inside on a stretcher. I was shown to a quiet room so I could relax. "How were you able to?" As soon as we were by ourselves, I yelled at Mary. How might I have responded? Tell me, what would you have done?" Mary fired back. Tears filled my eyes as I said, "You destroyed my life." "I did not intend to. We will work it out, I swear," Mary muttered. "What should I figure out? How can I make my baby's father stop believing that his friend is the biological father?" Tears flowed freely as I pointed to my stomach. "It was you who started it. I will now appear to be a house wrecker. Do you understand? I will play the antagonist." My feet hurt from frustration. "Calm down, Celine. You have got a baby!" Mary screamed. "Do not tell me that!" I gestured at her with a finger. "My life is ruined!" I let out a cry and tugged at my hair. I felt helpless and overpowered. My entire body felt ablaze. I tried to breathe as my chest constricted and I gripped my dress. Mary was talking to someone I could not hear through the window when I tried to get through to her. I tried to step forward but stumbled, tossing over the hospital tray to attract her attention. "Celine!" Mary let out a scream and ran to me. "Doctor! Nurse!" Mary pressed the call button and yelled. I choked out, "Save my baby," before collapsing. I was in bed when I woke up, unable to move due to pain. I felt my stomach and started crying. Mary was sitting next to me, her head leaning against the bed. Phillip was dozing off on the sofa. Johnson was sound asleep across from her. "Johnson?" Softly, I nudged him. "Are you okay, Celine?" Mary touched my face and asked. "A little bit. How about my child?" "Your infant is doing fine. Phillip decided to stay until you woke up because he felt accountable." "Johnson? Johnson, what about him?" My voice trembled as I asked. "Phillip gave him a call. Mary clarified, "He came after learning you were in the hospital. "Exactly like that?" I asked, confused. “Yes, exactly like that,” Mary answered. Johnson arrived unexpectedly soon.” Was I still important to him?” "Is he aware?" Silently, I asked. "Who? You know what?" Mary's eyebrows went up. I pointed to my belly and said, "Johnson." "No, he is unaware. I am not sure if Phillip told him, but I didn't." Mary's expression dimmed. "Now what do I do?"I nodded, confused. “Johnson still loves you, and it is clear that Phillip has a partner,” Mary remarked. "No, no, no!" I cut her off. I said, turning away, "Just give me time to think." I experienced conflict. “Johnson had cheated on me, and Phillip was seeing someone else”. However, what about my child? Tears threatened, and my heart hurt. A soft tap on my face said, "Hey, babe." When my eyes opened, Johnson was there. I was unaware that I had dozed off. "Babe? Who, me? It surprised me.” I sat up, pushing his hand aside. Mary chuckled a little. "I am sorry, it was just the way you pushed his hand," Mary said and laughed. "How are you feeling?" Johnson asked, ignoring Mary. I asked, "Why are you here?" I picked up my clothes to change and said, "I am going to get my discharge papers." , "Do not worry, I will do it," Johnson said and walked off to handle it while I used the toilet. Johnson was waiting with Mary when I returned. After we got out of the hospital, Johnson quietly drove us home. When they got home, the doorbell rang. Mary went to answer to it. "Hey! Prepare. Let us go get some ice cream." Johnson said, "I do not feel like going," I said and I turned back to the television. With pride, Johnson said, "I can get you tickets to see Phillip's show live." "No, thank you. I answered, not giving him a look, "I am fine. Mary muttered, "Let us just head out. It’s for the baby." With a nod, I followed her. When we got to the ice cream shop. Mary said she had to go to the hotel for something and walked out. I picked up our ice cream with Johnson. I got peanut and chocolate mint, and he got strawberry and vanilla. "Babe," Johnson said, breaking the silence. Biting my lip, I said, "Yes?" "I apologize for my actions. I didn't mean it at all. Johnson looked down and said, "I hope you will take me back. I still like you." Even though I knew Johnson still had feelings for me, the situation had changed. I had to tell him the truth. "I'm pregnant."
