(Samuel)      It’s hard to know that your best friend is about to die. I don’t know if he is or not, but the fact that I have to consider it is terrifying. I left early this morning before Carson woke up. He’s been scared not to leave my side which is incredible, but I wanted to give him and myself a break. I decided to go for a light morning run. I figure only 10 miles should satisfy my wolf without overexerting me. I am gaining my strength back, but I am still not all the way back to my old strength.        I keep running through the woods. It feels fantastic to do this again. I feel free again. The rustling of the fallen leaves on the ground as I crunch them. The sound of the wind blowing through the trees across my fur.
