“Don’t do this,” I beg Carson, knowing his answer will not change. Tonight is his fight with Jace. Jace tried to cancel the fight, but Carson wants to make Jace pay for what he did to me. He’s risking everything for me. And even though he was going to stop it for me, Jace still wants to fight Carson. He wants to win me, and he wants Carson to pay for embarrassing him in front of the Pack and the school. I need Jace to move on, but he won’t stop seeing Carson as a threat. I just want them both to move on. This senseless fighting just doesn’t make sense anymore. I don’t really even know what they are fighting about anymore, and I don’t think they do. They are both too stubborn and bull-headed. And that’s coming from me!!!
