Chapter 3: The Kings regret.

As I stare at the clock the time being 02:30, I lay in my bed wondering about my daughter..... humm it would be her birthday today. I haven't seen her since she was 6 months old, but even to this day I remember her scent and those large, strikingly luminous eyes of hers. Time passes by so differently for those of us with a strong supernatural lineage. I hate myself for not even knowing how old she was when she died. How old would she be today if she had lived, as I wonder to myself my dragon comes forward.

'Aeyr, every year we regret what we did, I feel the same way, Do you remember when she first opened her eyes, Everyone instantly fell in love with her, even mate did...'

with a rush of regret surging forward

'Do you think we will ever find our second chance mate'

The sadness in his voice broke my heart.

'I remember Zephyrus, and I hope maybe one day we will'

With this said we both drift off too sleep.

I am awoken by a stern knocking on my bedroom door.

" Master, Master, you need to get up....... you are late for your meeting at the studios today. The artist will be arriving at 10am and it takes one and a half hours to get there. If we leave within the next 10 minutes we will arrive with a few minutes to spare, you were supposed to be there for 9am to do a meet and greet with your co-star as this project is being shot on his land."

Uhhhh my assistant can be so annoying

"On my way Alexandria, tell Axel to get the car ready, I'll be down in 5 minutes"

I call out.

"Yes, master" responded Alexandria.

I quickly get dressed and make my way downstairs, while walking through the lobby I glance at the clock and it states 08:15. Can't believe I overslept this morning.

' Aeyr, I know we are feeling overwhelmed today, I'm not surprised, but try not taking it out on everyone today. We all know today is Ebony's birthday.'

'Zephyrus, shut up for now will you.'

Huffing I leave the house.

So after having woken up late this morning I finally enter the meeting room for my new project. As I walk in I'm greeted by an incessant noise.

"Hi I'm Sora, nice to meet you."

I scan the impudent child as I respond

"I'm Aeyr."

I may have used a bit of domination power in my words when I spoke to the boy, but then again I was irritated from being late and having been scolded by Zephyrus. However the way this boy is acting suggests he is about to call me on my attitude. Generally only a clan leader is like that and judging from his scent he is a wolf. An Alpha at such a young age how intriguing. As I continue watching him, his demeanour changes and he stops to look at the door. As I wonder why, I note a scent I haven't smelt in a very long time. The scent of coldfire and moonflowers with my familial ice storm clan scent, there is only one person in the entire world with it, and that was my daughter Ebony.

Panic arises instantaneously, why was she here? How is she? How old would she be now? so many questions run through my mind that even Zephyrus is starting to go mad.

With an annoyed snarl 'Aeyr, what the hell is wrong with you.' Zephyrus questions.

'Ze, our daughter... she is here, what do I do, I'm pretty sure she hates us for what we have done to her. We left her all alone in this world for so long.' panic and anxiety begin running rife through my system

' Right for starters Aeyr breathe, there's not a lot that can be done in this state. Secondly the only true way your going to find out is if you sit down and talk to her, but my immediate question for you is, what is with that boy, he seems totally distracted, you don't suppose he's Ebony's mate do you?'

Ok sometimes my dragon did have a good point. There was no point in having a total panic meltdown. As I ponder on what has been said I clicked onto the last statement Zephyrus made.

'Uhmm.... Zephyrus what did you mean when you said about him being Ebony's mate' shock permeating my thoughts.

Growling like I'm an i***t 'Are you stupid. Look at him, the last time we saw that look was when we had our own mate, I remember being so struck it was like time stood still for eternity' simultaneously Zephyrus' tone was ridiculing and yet warm and loving.

As Zephyrus and I conversed, I studied the boy Infront of me, and started thinking this is going to be yet another son-in-law, which caused my stomach to churn, then again how many has she had by now......
