chapter 4: the meeting

As Ebony walks from her car to the meeting room she is hit by 2 distinctive scents, one brings back feelings of nostalgia while the other elicited strong emotions of another kind.

'hel, what do you think of the two scents in the air here, one is so nostalgic that smell of burnt embers on a glacial wind, mixed with an ice storm it's so relaxing, but I'm drawn to the other what is it, it smells like..... frost bitten pine and cherry blossoms.'

'well my sweet little human the one scent is nostalgic because we have smelt it before, however it has been a very long time.....'

Hel's idea of having fun consists of her stopping in the middle of a sentence when it's important.

'but then again you were so very young at the time. I suppose you wouldn't remember.'

'what do you mean hel.'

'that nostalgic scent belongs to father, I believe he is one of the people on the project we are working with today, the other one I can't wait to meet, that belongs to mate, he smells so good even from here.'

In the few minutes it takes to get from the entrance to the meeting, everyone was on tender hooks, whilst staring at the door Sora grabs his phone and goes on his group chat

S: Right, Max I'm gonna need you to sort out one of the spare rooms on the alpha floor in the pack house for a few days starting from tomorrow, I will be staying in the city tonight, my mate is part of the production crew.

M: That's awesome Alpha, you'll have to let me know what she's like, congrats dude, I will message you when things are done over here and I will let the kitchen staff and Jodi know this end so don't fret.

S: I appreciate that, thanks Max

Time winds away so slowly it's as if there is no end when in all reality only seconds have passed, everyone one is on edge with amazement, hope and fear simultaneously. It's only when a creak from the door gets everyone attention back to the present moment.

Ebony's pov

I have walked this hall so many times but today that meeting room door seems to loom over me like the gates of Tartarus. I honestly don't know if I can go

'My sweet little human, everything will be alright and if not I'll make it, you have nothing to fear, we are strong always have been and always will. So hold that head high like the amazing creature that we are.' the softness of Hel's voice had all fears just drift away like they were never there.

Upon opening the door Ebony is engulfed in the scents that occupy the room. while stepping over the threshold she is swallowed up in a hug out of nowhere, looking around she can see the look of distress upon the elegant features of her mates face, those beautiful jade green eyes locking her in place, it took a moment to realise it was her father that had hugged her like she would drift away.

'Hel are you able to get through to mate he looks so despondent, he doesn't know this is father'

'I'm on it, my dear'

Sora's P.O.V

As the door opens I am besieged by the most intoxicating scent in the world, upon looking I see the girl that it comes from and I am mesmerized by her eyes such an enticing colour, before I knew what was going on the girl is swept up into a hug by my co-star, I am hurt how could she not know what this would do to me

'Mine, how can he do that she belongs to us' Gin is snarling like a feral beast as he stares at our bewitching mate.

I am in such a shocked trance that it took a while to realize someone was trying to get through to me, upon noticing I put up my defenses when I hear such a euphoric sound

' you are a hard one to get through to my dear mate, I've been looking for you for a very long time '

' who are you, where are you and how can you link to me like this.' a blur of questions leave

' hehehe I'm sorry dear mate, I'm hel I'm here because my human form is very sad to see you so hurt, the person that is hugging my human is our father, we haven't seen him for a very long time, I don't think he ever thought he'd see us alive after all this time so it was a shock to him and us.'

Hel, well now I know what my mates form is called but she really doesn't smell like a wolf, as I look on the scene in front of me which has only been a few moments I see that everyone has calmed down, I head over to introduce myself properly

' I'm Sora it's nice to finally meet you my sweet little mate' a grin plastered across my face.

' I see Hel was able to get through to you in the end, I'm Ebony'.

sweet bliss pours its way to my ears as she speaks to me .

' and I believe you are wondering who this is, this is my father Aeyr The dragon King. I could tell you realized we weren't wolves but couldn't quite place what we are, but we can speak more of this later I do believe we have a project to get on with.'

After that we get on with the day but I needed to send a quick message

S: Max, prep another room in the pack house, I'm gonna have my co-star stay with us until the end of the project

M: No problem but can I ask why out of curiosity

S: My co-star is my mates father and they haven't seen each other in a while so I thought it would be nice for them to rekindle while ebony and I get to know each other aswell.

M: woooow ok lots of info tell me more later I'll get this sorted for ya. speak later

Now it's time to ask her to come to pack grounds this is gonna be fun......
