Rose walked towards Aidden and stood next to him ...she heard Aidden mention something about living together with Cyan and she did not understand why , they only started dating so why did they need to live together.Aidden also stood and looked at Cyan who was standing on the stair case , he knew she did not tell her friend about the two of them living together , he saw Rose looked at him anxiously waiting for an answer , these two girls were close and the idea of Cyan not staying with Rose anymore would be bad news for her .he breathed before speaking choosing his words clearly , "i think its best she stays here , i don't want to be apart from her "that was the only explanation he could come up with ,

"i don't want to be apart from her either "

Rose spoke , she also wanted to be near her friend why should Aidden live with her when she has known her the longest .David walked over to Rose and held her shoulders he spoke trying to calm her down , she was easily provoked sometimes "they are in a relationship now ...and if they want to live together ...you shouldn't object sweety",she shouldn't object that made her even more mad , that was her best friend and she had every right to object she knew Aidden very well , letting him have Cyan was like offering to break her friends heart on a silver platter ."no ....she is my best friend ..i met her first so she gets to stay with me "

Aidden did not understand Rose's sudden possessiveness over Cyan, and he did not like it at all Cyan was his after all , he did not realise he was also being possessive ..his reasons were justified his girl was in danger out there but he could not explain that to Rose."well she's my girlfriend and she has already agreed to stay here "

Rose turned around and looked at Cyan..."did you agree to live with him ....why so soon, ....do you not want to be my roommate anymore ?"she asked her friend.

Cyan who was stood there quietly listening to their conversation felt like a spot lite had been shown on her face , she watched as they argued back and fourth about her like parents wanting custody of a child , she did not know what to. On the other hand was her best friend and on the other was her Aidden, her now boyfriend , people would normally chase her but these two fought over her.

"of course i want to live with you i just-"

"then choose between living with me or living with Aidden"

Cyan held her breath at Rose's words , Choose?? how did it get to this ..she wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. She bit her bottom lip and looked at Aidden . Aidden noticed the look on Cyan's face , it was the same face she gave him when she wanted to be free from the handcuffs the look of hopelessness, he understood she was in a very complicated situation because of him and Rose. "Rose ....can i talk to you in the office" he wanted to try and reason with her in private.

She was hesitant at first , looking at David he gestured her to follow Aidden.

"okay" she agreed and followed him to the office that was down the corridor.

Cyan watched them leave , she could feel David's eyes on her and even though she did not have anything personal against him she still didn't want to be near him, he did not like her she already knew that."excuse me " she spoke and was about to go back to Aidden's room when he stopped her.

"Why are you leaving....stay and have a drink with me ...."David walked to the kitchen and poured wine in two glasses .

"no thank you ...is it not early for drinking , "Come on....don't treat me like a stranger ...you and i will be living in the same house ..we should get to know each other better don't you think so "

he handed her the glass and sat on the couch .Cyan did not know that David was going to be living here ...since he was right they would be seeing each other , she decided to not ignore him. So she sat down across him.

"my girlfriend and my best friend love you a lot....they both want to keep you"

he said . Everything in his words and his actions had a motive and she could feel it.

she knew his type very well, very calculating people ..Cyan had been around people like him some of them even worse ,.she was immune to it.

"am a lucky girl"

she said . she could have chosen to be nicer and respond to his words saying ' i love them too ' but she chose not too , if David wanted to play mind games with her then she was happy to play along ...whats the fun in not playing ..it was harmless .

" you are indeed... and very confident about that" he sipped his wine and looked straight ahead at her. In his head she was too proud and whatever her motives where , he was going to reveal them and unmask that angelic face of hers , David felt that Cyan was a wolf in sheep's clothing.

"everyone needs to be confident about were they stand in life ..if not ..people can easily throw you off balance"she replied mimicking his actions .

"sometimes ...confidence with pride can also be ones downfall"

he spoke.

" I guess that depends on what you are confident in."Cyan said before finishing the wine in her glass , in her head she was drinking after him only swallowing more wine and she finished her drink first. This was challenging him at something he started .

"i see you are enjoying your wine ....would you like more ?"

David read her silent challenge clearly , he was not expecting her to be this shrewd he was surprised but this only proved to his thoughts about her.

"yes i would like more"

she said , David was about to call the house keeper and get more wine for her,

when got up instead."please let me get it ....i need to familiarise myself , since this is my new home"Cyan did that on purpose, calling this her home was like declaring and claiming the territory of your enemy as yours. She knew David would understand her actions.this was not her true self ,but if people wanted her to be a wolf then she would. To anyone else in the world except Aidden and Rose.

she sat back in her chair with a bottle of wine, she did not pour it in her glass instead she took the whole bottle and held it.

"Aidden sure knows how to pick his women...first you said its too early to drink now you are having the whole bottle"

he chuckled lightly his laugh echoing in the house.

Cyan felt a lamp in her throat when she heard him say those words , he was secretly implying that Cyan was just like any other girl Aidden went out with. The thought of her being just one of those women sent her off track she could feel her eyes start to burn, Cyan was part werewolf and one thing about werewolves is they where very protective and jealous when it came to there mates , she wasn't an exception , if a werewolf was heart broken she could cause chaos and even reach the extent of killing .She breathed deeply trying to get the thoughts off of her head , she was not going to give this man any sense of victory over her. She poured her wine and drank it in one goal."you are right ...he sure knows how to pick girls and bring them to his home ...even if his best friend has some reservations".

" normally i don't have any reservations ...only when it comes to random women" letting her know that she was just a random girl Aidden would get tired of sooner or later.

Cyan smiled at his words "well then lets drink to being random.. ...its better that being an insecure man that's threatened by the presence of a Radom girl who can easily break his bones ...don't you agree " She struck a nerve . She saw his veins start to pop on his forehead , he hurt her feelings by calling her a random girl and making her doubt her place in Aidden's life . And she attacked his pride and his masculinity.That was like a final punch to David...he had enough of this girl "do ...you know what i do to people Cyan"

he asked her .

"nope ...please do tell "

she placed her elbows on her thighs and her hands on her jaw wanting to listen closely to his words." i like exposing pretenders and opportunist ..there is nothing more satisfying in life than destroying someone's pride ....using there weakness against them"

"Whats the fun in using other peoples weakness against them ...that's not fun at all ...do you know whats even better?? Creating new weakness for them "

She responded. The air in the room was getting tense , every time she got like this her aura would change unintentionally. David was stunned by her response no one had ever challenged him like this except for Aidden , this Cyan knew what his weakness was ...his girlfriend Rose . And she was already close to her and his best friend.

"Hhmh....well then you must be a very creative girl.....but let me warn you there are certain boundaries you should never cross ..cause doing so would lead to an early grave" he did not need to explain himself he knew she would understand his threat.

Never threaten a vampire ..its like an invitation for war , she looked at this man and who knew so little , maybe in the human world ..he was dangerous and could make people tremble but to her world he was only a cat asking for trouble.her defensive instincts rose up and her cold air grew a thousand times in the room.

she looked at David straight in the eyes and replied to his words." When it comes to the ones i love ....i can burn anything and everyone in my way ...without any mercy .....i don't care who they are or what they are i don't like being crossed" the only thing keeping her rationality in check was the fact that Rose and Aidden where here and besides David was only looking out for them too that's why he was being this way to her ...in the end ..they had the same weakness.

David felt something he had never felt before , he felt Cyan's words in his body and goose bumps crawled on his skin . He looked in her eyes and he felt a real threat coming from her, he did not understand how his body reacted in defence to her words , there was more in the way she spoke not even his father a great general in the army ever made him feel this way ..

"It does not matter does it... whether you like me or not .....the truth is i care about those two more than anything else in the world and so do you"

Cyan decided to break the tension fast before she lost control,

" we have the two of them in common and just like Rose is yours ...Aidden is my weakness...any one who hurts him faces me"

David was not expecting her words ..she was not declaring peace nor was she backing down, he was not going to do everything in his powers to know her true intentions.whether she truly loved Aidden or not .something caught his attention in her words , the way she spoke of Aidden like as if he was an ordinary man

David knew Aidden was just as powerful as he was and even built like a warrior ..so what could a weak girl like her protect him from."Well i guess we do have a lot in common" he said" he sipped the wine in his glass .

in the office.

Aidden sat in the chair while Rose stood up waiting for him talk .

but Aidden did not say anything ..he just observed her for a long time."what are your intentions with Cyan ?"

she asked him after getting tired of his Silence.
