Chapter Fifteen

Two months later, It was time for Attica's and Jasper's wedding. Everything was in order. They had planned it months ago and Attica was working hard on making sure everything was going as planned. They were getting married at her parent's house. Then they had the reception at the hotel that they always had their parties at. The night before was the dress rehearsal that was at Jasper's parents' home. The guest list was about 500 people that were friends, family, and also employees of the company that they all considered family. Everything was going great.

At the rehearsal dinner, Attica was now six months pregnant. She was not too big but she was showing well. They all sat at the table in the backyard of the Adams' home. The flowers were beautiful. They were red roses and violet orchards. Everyone was talking and carrying on like they were all family. Jasper's brother, Palmer had showed up and was his best man. Attica had Jasper's sister, Marion be her bride's maid. They were all eating a wonderful dinner. Then, Mr. Baker had stood up to start the speeches. "My daughter, Attica and her best friend and fiancé, Jasper have given my wife and me the greatest news this year. They are in love and getting married tomorrow. Jasper will finally become family to me. He is of course the son that I have never had but I have always thought of him as family. I am happy that Attica has found the right man to spend her life with and to have my grandchildren with. I never thought that Attica would ever fall in love or have a family of her own. She worked so hard throughout her life and she never dated. She was so much like me that I worked my life away and missed so much in her life. I never wanted her to have that life but I was so sure she was going to become just like me. Then, somehow she had a change of heart and gave her best friend a chance. I am so blessed that she did choose to be with someone like Jasper. I look forward to the many children they will have and the long beautiful life they will share together. I love you both and am so thankful to be here to be apart of this."

Everyone clapped and cheered. Attica wiped a tear away from her eye. She had never heard such beautiful words from her father before. Mr. Adams got up next which was shocking to Attica because he never was a man to say but few words. "Jasper, my son, I am so glad to be here to celebrate this new journey in your life. You have worked so hard and made a wonderful life for yourself. There is not a moment in your life that you have not shared without Attica in it. I knew that you both were destined to be together. I just waited patiently for you both to see how much you both mean to each other. For you both to finally see how much you mean to each other and work together well, I am glad to be here with you both on this special day to see you both become husband and wife. Even though you both already worked and are having a family of your own, I am happy to have the news of you both getting to share becoming mother and father soon. I wish you both a long and happy marriage. I want to congratulate Attica to our family officially as my daughter. I love you both."

Everyone again clapped and cheered and Attica could not stop the tears in her eyes. She was so happy. Jasper had even had some tears in his eyes. They looked at each other a kissed. The night ended early due to the wedding preparing tomorrow. Attica stayed at her parents' home that night so she can be up and getting ready for their wedding in the morning. She kissed Jasper good night and he then kissed her belly and kissed their babies good night. He went home to get ready for the big day tomorrow. Attica was so exhausted from everything that she ended up going straight to bed.

Attica woke up a few hours later but she was not in her bedroom at her parents' home. She was back in the bed with Marion next to her. She did not understand why she was back here. And when she woke up she was not pregnant anymore. Where was her babies? Why was she here? Was she going to miss her wedding? She walked outside and found the woman that gave her the answers the first time. "What is going on? Why did you bring me back? I am getting married tomorrow. And I was pregnant so where are my babies?" The woman looked at Attica. She remembered her. "I do not know why you were brought back. But, let me take you to the leader so you can talk to him. He was the one to bring you back." Attica nodded and followed her to this room. Attica walked in and met the leader. She recognized him but she didn't know why.

The lady spoke to the man. "This woman is back. You brought her back. She wants to know why. She has a lot of questions that you need to answer her, please." The man looked at Attica. "You were brought here for warning. You changed your life for love and family. I am pleased that you choose to go this path but you are going to have a few bad things occur in your life and you need to be prepared for them. I brought you back to warn you of this and to let you know that when they occur, you are going to want to go back to your life of working it away. Do not do that. Everything happens for a reason that you may not understand but do not go backwards due to you will find what you need in your life. If you go backwards, you will end up back here and you might not ever leave the next time. Do you understand what I am saying to you, Attica?" "Yes, sir but what is the bad things that is going to happen in my life? Can you at least tell me so I can be prepared for it?" "No, I can not tell you what is going to happen. Just know that I have warned you. I am actually breaking the rules telling you this. Go and get married and live your life with happiness." With that Attica walked out of the room.

Attica woke up in her bedroom in her parents' home. She was pregnant and it was a few hours before her wedding. She thought about the dream for a little bit but she didn't let it stop her from her special day. She was getting married to her best friend. She was excited and had to get up to eat and get ready. She walked down stairs to the kitchen to get something to eat. Her mother and father was in there eating when they saw her. Her mother got up and rushed over to her. "You sit down. I will make you something to eat to feed your babies and then we will get you ready for your wedding." "Okay mother. Thank you but I can make me something to eat myself." Her mother laughed. "I know that hun but you were so tired from yesterday that I don't want you to overdue yourself today at your wedding. I want you to have the best time and still have time for your husband when you get to your honeymoon." Attica blushed. "Mother... I can't believe you said that." Her mother laughed and continued cooking her breakfast. Attica ate and then went upstairs to get ready for her and Jasper's big day.
