Chapter Fourteen

On Monday, Attica called the doctor to confirm that the information was correct... that she was having twins. They of course confirmed that the information was right. She went back to work and didn't even think about it anymore. She had a lot of work to catch up on due to all the days she's been missing lately due to the appointments and her father being sick. She didn't know what she was going to do. She just knew it was going to be a long night. She knew that she had to get this all done or else the company was going to fail and then Jasper was going to half to work hard to make it up. She knew she couldn't do that to him. He was already working more then normal because he was having to take on his Human Resources duties as well as all her father's duties. Attica knew something was going to half to change. She went to lunch with Jasper and she decided to talk to him about what she thought about doing earlier. As they sat down at the table and got their drinks and food ordered, she looked at Jasper. He was exhausted. He had dark circles under his eyes from all the work.

"You know I have an ideal to help us both with the company so we are not taking on more jobs then what we were. How about we promote someone to your Human Resource position and then I can get an assistant to help me with my work as well. We will not be hurting the company but bettering it. And it's not going to cost our company that much money due to the assistant can be part time. What do you say?" Attica told Jasper. He sat there for a moment thinking about it. Attica was right it would help them both out with the company and not cost it too much. Also, with the wedding coming up and going to be out of town for the honeymoon, they would need someone to help take over temporally with the work. "Okay, that actually sounds like a great plan. Who do you think should do the hiring?" Attica looked at Jasper who was exhausted and since she knew she needed to catch up her work tonight she told him that she would take care of it. Jasper agreed to it since she was the CEO.

They sat there eating their lunch when Attica also decided to make another comment to him. "look we are to be co-owners of the company which means that we should be working together on the company. You do not half to do all the flying and meetings. I will take care of some of them too. I think we need to work together on getting it better in order by maybe splitting the meetings and flying. I don't want you to overdue yourself. I am perfectly capable of doing it as well." Jasper looked at Attica in shock, "Love, I love that you are worried about me and wanting to help me but you are pregnant with twins. I do not want you to overdue yourself with it. Plus, is it safe for you to be flying?" "Of course, I am passed the stages of not being able to fly. I can help you and it is okay. We are a team. We are to work together. So We can work together and plan it better to where I have the meetings on certain days and you have them on the other days. We can plan on the flying where you do it one week and I do it the other. You are going to pass out from all the sleep you are not getting and that is not healthy. So, let's please work together and make this company right."

Jasper thought of it for a second. "Okay we can make a schedule and work together for both work and home. You are right, we are a team and we have not been much of one lately. Also, I think we need to talk about a nanny to hire for when the babies come to help us out when we work." "I agree babe. I will work on this today at the office and then send it to you so you can look over it and agree to it. I am so glad that we are on the same page. I love you." "I love you too. I think we also need to make a list of what we will need for the babies. Maybe even want to look into moving into a house instead of the penthouse. I think we need to work on this together as well. Is this okay with you?" "Of course but let's look into all that when we are out of work for our honeymoon due to we can relax and not half to worry about the company. What do you say since we have the wedding in two months?" "That sounds like a perfect plan love."

Jasper got up from the table and took Attica's hand. They paid their bill and then walked over to the company to go back to work. Attica was happy to see that Jasper was listening to her and wanting to work together. Now, back to work and getting everything done like she had agreed to do on top of all the work she was already behind. The first thing she was going to do was look into the company records and find the perfect candid for the Human Resources position and her assistant. She knew this was more important than anything else right now. She got right on it after she kissed Jasper goodbye.

Attica got back to her office and went through the records. She found two perfect candidates for both positions. She called her secretary to get a meeting scheduled for all four of them. She wanted to interview them to see which one would be better as well as who can then take over their positions. She meet with them in a few hours and then she made the choice. She brought all of them back into the office and told them the news. One was going to be put into Human Resources taking Jasper's old spot and then the other was to take the assistant Human Resources spot. Then one was going to be her assistant and the other was going to be Jasper's assistant. This was all effective immediately. She then had the two in Human Resources go see Jasper for Jasper to train them and get them taken care of. She worked with the assistants on her office and work. She then told them that if she was not there, they were to help Jasper. They had agreed to the work and the offer of pay. She was glad to have made the right decision. Now she had to eventually find someone to replace their jobs. So she put in a job posting in the office for it. She also decided to make some of the jobs combined to where the job was actually only 2 positions that were going to need to be filled. She was going to work on that next week.

Attica worked hard with the assistants all night. She didn't leave the office until midnight. She had gotten the new schedule for her and Jasper in order. She got the meetings set up and the flying schedules set up. She did everything she was to do and now she had to go home to get some rest to start tomorrow off again in the morning. She was excited that she had accomplished everything she was to do. But, she was extremely exhausted. She had not worked this hard and this long in a while since she had became pregnant. She was in for a long few months ahead. But, things were looking ahead to it. She was happy to be able to help her fiance with the company and still do her job.
