Sent A Sheep To Kill The Wolf

"Tell me who's the angel that was just with you. His presence was always with you. From that dark alley and now, here. Who are you really?." He probed as his eyes pierce right through me. An instant chill crawled up my spine making me frozen in my position and the hair all over my body stand on it's ends. This is the first time I've felt truly terrified as I looked straight into his crimson eyes. No demon and made me feel frightened for my life. But now, I can truly feel what fear is. It’s as if it’s holding me captive, preventing my body to move an inch. That on foot is already stepping over my own grave if I did make a move. I have never felt that my life was in danger... not until now while he eats my soul with just a stare. I opened my mouth but no words came out. He then removed his hands away from the door but still kept his chilling gaze on me which had given me the opportunity to breathe. "I-I don't know what you're talking about," I answered, stammering in my softest voice while mustering up my courage. But then, Gabriel's words echo in my mind. "You can never find courage if you're not faced with fear" .  And right now, the object of fear is in front of me. "Playing innocent doesn't exclude you from ignorance. You have a weapon of an angel, mind explaining that to me?" He asked, with eyes scrutinizing before he held out my dagger which had made me gasp. But my eyes squinted in disbelief on how he can hold it with his bare hands even if it clearly burns him. It’s extremely painful for demons if anything hallowed touches their skin. It’s like acid that burns and eats their flesh. He's supposed to be a demon, isn't he? How was he able to hold on to it for that long? "I-it's a family heirloom. It was passed from generation to generation... H-how are you able--." I trailed off as he starts to play with it while walking towards the table. From dagger's handle, it circles his fingers until it's cold blade was dancing along with his fingers, then at the quickest moment, he held the blade firmly before casually throwing it in the air then landing on his other hand. But not a blink later, he aimed before throwing it at me. My heart stopped for a second as well as my breathing. I then heard a loud thud just beside my head until I felt a sharp pain at the tip of my ear before a few strands of hair fell gracefully onto the carpeted floor. "Psshh. I missed." He scoffed with the rolling of his eyes. I moved my head slightly away from the blade as my eyes focus to his hands, noticing the burns that were just starting to heal. "You know what's keeping you alive?" He asked walking towards me again. "Your guardian angel... I need him to appear again so I could kill him, and most importantly..." he added only to trail off again as he grabbed my waist while pulling out the dagger that had been embedded on the wooden door before throwing it at the floor, landing on its tip. He then leaned over to the side of my head and whispered, "... your blood is incredibly sweet, it's exciting me." I then felt his tongue licked the tip of my ear where the dagger cut, then, he started nibbling it. My hands automatically slide up to his chest as I try to control my breathing. trying to make him believe that I wanted to feel his touch. “Kill the demon before he tries to kill you.” As quick as I can, I pulled the dagger from the floor using my foot with the tip of my shoe and tossed it to my hand. As soon as I was able to get a hold of its handle, I quickly tried to stab him, straight to his heart but he was quick to grab my wrist just as the tip is about to pierce the leather of his jacket. "Do you know how to use that, girlie?" He teased as a smirk forming on his lips. I immediately took a step and held the handle with both hands, putting all my strength in plunging it over to his heart. But with just his one hand to defend himself, he pushes my wrist away from him very slowly while keeping that grin on his lips. I knew he's more powerful than I but, I have to try. I drop hold of the dagger while my other hand catches it and immediately swings it over to his neck but he was too quick as he c***s his head back, evading the blade. "Impressive..." he chuckled. I was no match for his agility, of course, being just a mere human. But I noticed a thin slit on his neck and blood peeks out of it. He immediate grab hold of my other wrist and twist it slightly, making me whimper and lose hold of the dagger that then dropped onto the floor. He twisted my wrist bit more which had intended me to turn my back on him to ease the pain. He then held both my hands behind my back with just one hand before suddenly grabbing my jaw, pulling me glued to his body while his thumb and middle finger squeeze my cheeks hard. He leaned over, and whispered to my ear, "Are you sure you wanna kill me? Your heart isn't thumping fast because of adrenaline, doll. The moment you laid eyes on me after you entered the room, it's beating like crazy and it’s not because of fear." His warm breath grazes my skin as he sniffs, smelling my hair before I felt his cheek on mine. He tightens his grip as I struggled upon his hold and tried to break free from his grasp. "Your scent changes whenever I'm around..." he whispered. "I'm not an animal who just let my instinct take over me." I retorted with a grunt. He's been telling me things that would remind me of that night. The way he speaks is alluring but I won't let my desires consume me. "Does that mean you're admitting to being attracted to me?..." he asked before he chuckles which just earned more grunts from me, struggling upon his tight grip. “But you most certainly did let the animal in you take over. Did you forget about last night already?" He snickered, feeling his lips over my cheek. "Now tell me the name of the angel, or I'll kill everyone you hold dear." He threatened. "Why?" I asked. "Why are you trying to find him, why do you wanna kill him?" "Because that's the natural thing to do. You know angels versus demons, right? Eternal battle between good and evil?" He muttered, "And now that the apocalypse is at hand, no angel can stop me from my mission." He stated. I then let out another whimper as he tightened his grip again and I could feel his nails dig in my jaw. "Mission?" I asked, grunting once more. "It doesn't concern you, does it?" He scoffed. "The angel is the messenger of God. He's sent to warn me about a demon who will help bring fort the apocalypse together with the boy." I whimpered again but with every moment that passed, his grip tightens. "Gabriel? What else?" He growled as he demands in question. "He told me to kill you," I answered. "... so you will not hinder his mission. He knew you took a liking with my blood." "So he's my rival... He will interfere with me... Does he think I'll keep a mortal like you forever? Who does he think you are to send a sheep to kill the wolf?" He snarled, twisting my arm a bit more, making grunt louder, defeated within his grasp. "I'll keep you close just as he wanted to. You'll play an important part in these. I can sense that you're not just his bait..." He whispers. "Thank your god for he made your blood sweet. 'Cause if not, you would have never seen this day and the days to come." He snarled before laying a kiss on my cheek. "When the right time comes, your friend can no longer send any messages to you or to anyone." I closed my eyes as I apologize in my head. I’m sorry, Gabriel.  I have to turn his attention to Gabriel to know who he really is because he finds out who I really am, he will kill me. I am no match for him right now. I can't compromise the mission now that my rival is just near me. But, how can I do this if this demon stays with me? How will this body of a mere mortal defend itself from a demon?
