Chapter 5: More Encounters

Aoi's POV

Just finished working for today. I still can't believe I met my sister earlier. I'm really glad she's actually not mad at me.

I should probably turn off my location though. She might realized where I live.

*turned off location*

I don't want her to see me living with a guy I just met this week because she might worry about me.

Meanwhile I saw Haru with a girl. I think that's his girlfriend.

I forgot I need to deal with both of them later. I freaking hate interacting with normal people.

I then just call a taxi so I can go home without a stop over.

When I arrived. Haru and his girlfriend is already inside. Since the apartment door is slightly open.

I then slowly wide open the door and both of them is literally waiting for me inside.

Aoi: Ta..da...I...ma! (I'm Home!)

Haru and his Girlfriend: OKAERI!! (Welcome Back!)

Aoi: Ahmm....

Haru's Girlfriend: Hi! My name is Saionji Hikari, Haru's Girlfriend. Nice to meet you!

Aoi: Nice to meet you too! I am Daigo Aoi! I'm working at the same company as Haru and sorry if I'm living with him right now.

Hikari: It's fine! I know he is loyal to me and will never cheat on me. That's enough for me to trust you.

Aoi: Ahmm.. I hate to say this but just being loyal is not enough.

Hikari: What?

Haru: .....

Aoi: Do you really love Haru?

Hikari: Of course!! What are you implying?

Aoi: it just that for me if your loyal to someone it doesn't automatically mean you love that person. It's more of a you respect that person very highly. But that's just me though.

Hikari: Wow!! Your words is deeper than Haru's words. But the two of you is very similar in that aspect. That is probably the real reason why he allows you to live with him. You are so unique.

Aoi: Thanks! This is the first time someone actually compliment me in being unique. Because most of the time my uniqueness causes so much trouble to people around me.

Hikari: OMG! Now I wanna cry for you. You definitely don't deserve that treatment.

Aoi: To be honest I am used to it now.

Hikari: Don't be. Learn how to deal with them. I can teach you if you want.

Aoi: I'm totally ok! I want to solve all my problems on my own.

Hikari: Your such a good person Aoi! I am automatically one of your friends now. Don't worry about you living with Haru. I don't mind at all.

Aoi: Are you sure?

Hikari: Totally!! You should be worried about Haru falling for you instead. Because your so similar to his ex.

Aoi: Eh!! Is that true Haru?

Haru: Nah... Don't listen to her Aoi. She's just teasing you.

Hikari: I'm telling the truth though. Look at the picture in the drawer.

Haru: STOP!!

Before Haru could stop me. I already opened the drawer and saw the girl inside the picture frame with Haru.

Hikari: See! The two of you have the same style Aoi!

Aoi: She's pretty though. I'm not.

Hikari: S...

Before Hikari could say anything. Haru says something unexpected.

Haru: Aoi! Didn't I already told you to stop downing yourself everytime? My ex is only pretty in the outside but ugly on the inside. She's a literal b***h!! You are so much than her. Because your pretty in both of them.

Aoi: *Blushes*

Hikari: Haru! I'm literally here. How can you say that to other girl you just met. I'm literally just one of your Toy. That's what you said. Probably not even close to the rank of both of them. Because I know even if you hate your ex so much. You also loves her so much.

I gotta go now. You clearly don't need me.

Haru: Wait Hikari!

Hikari: What? Are you going to stop me just because you felt really guilty about it?

Haru: Ahmm.....

Hikari: I freaking knew it. You are so disappointing Haru. Don't you ever talk to me or call me again.

Haru: I'm really sorry Hikari!

*Haru hugged Hikari*

Hikari:.. *Takes Haru's hands off of her*

Haru: ...

Hikari: Don't you ever touch me ever again Haru! From now on. We don't know each other.

Haru: O..k

Hikari: Before I leave. I just want to make sure that I can still be your friend Aoi. Because I think your a cool person

Aoi: Of course!

Hikari: Thank you! This is my number. Call me when you have some problem specially if it's about a love problem.

Aoi: Sure! I actually have one right now.

Hikari: About Haru?

Aoi: Nah...As if. I barely knew him. I'm gonna tell you who later.

Hikari: Sure! I'm gonna look forward to it. It seems like Haru just got rejected.

Aoi: I don't think he confess his love for me. His just a very honest kind of person.

Hikari: I guess so. Ok I gotta go now. I felt much better now since he looks so down. His literal Karma.

Aoi: Atleast the two of you can move on now.

Hikari: I know right. I am so excited for my next adventure. I'm gonna update you in my new lovelife Aoi!. If I found the one for me.

Aoi: Sure! Gonna look forward to it.

Hikari: Ok! Talk to you later. Aoi! Bye!

Aoi: Bye!!

Hikari left after that. I can't believe I just found a new friend unexpectedly again.

Meanwhile Haru looks very sad because their sleepover will never happen anymore.

To be honest. I am really shook about what Haru said earlier about me. I can't lie my heart skips a beat at that moment.

*Message Received From Hikari*

By the way, I know I just broke up with Haru but, can you make sure the he eats well for me? When his depressed he tends to not eat anything at all. Maybe something bad happened in his work. I'm with him for a long time so I know when he is going through something really bad.

Wow! I can't believe this. I guess she's actually really sad about their break up. She's probably crying now.

Haru's POV.

I can't believe Aoi actually believe both me and Hikari earlier. It's a complete act. Hikari and I is literally just friends. The girl in the picture is some random girl I saw online who looks very similar to Aoi. I just edited her with my picture. Hahaha.. Aoi is such a stupid person. The truth about me is something not anyone can handle. That is known only by my very close friends like Hikari. My Family forgotten me long time ago.

Hikari is actually laughing right now in the phone because Aoi really thinks they are friends now. It's hilarious.

Meanwhile, Aoi is literally wanting me out of my room. Because she said she wants to sleep at the bedroom tonight. So I decided to settled it with her.

*I opened the door*

Haru: What do you want?

Aoi: I want to sleep in the bedroom tonight.

Haru: Nah.. I'm gonna sleep here tonight. Go sleep in the couch.

Aoi: Why are you acting really mean now? You literally almost confess your love to me earlier.

Haru: That's not a confession.

Aoi: I know but it kinda sounds like it

Haru: Do you really want to be with me that bad?..

Aoi: *Blushed* Of course not!

Haru: Maybe you just want to sleep with me?

Aoi: No freaking way... I just want a cozy bed.

Haru: Choose then. You sleeping in the couch or sleeping with me?

Aoi: Just gonna sleep in the couch.

Haru: Good Girl!

He tap my head while saying I'm a good girl. My heart skips a beat again.

Aoi: I just realized. We just forgot to eat dinner because of what just happened earlier.

Haru: Oh s**t the rice.

The rice is already burned before we even noticed it. The apartment smell so bad.

*We are not using an automatic rice cooker so it is burned*

Haru decided to cook a new rice but we don't have any rice anymore.

Haru: Do you still want to eat?

Aoi: Of course! I'm literally starving!

Haru: Let's go to the Convenience Store then. Let's just go buy some ramen. Since I don't have any energy to cook tonight.

Aoi: Sure!

While we are walking. Aoi realized something.

Aoi: Is it ok for us to be seen together this late at night?

Haru: Now that you mention it. I don't want that.

Aoi: Do you want me to go back now?

Haru: NO!

Aoi: EH!!

Haru: Here! Just used my Jacket. Wear the hoody. And I also have a sunglasses here.

Aoi: Are you sure about this?

Haru: Just wear it.

Aoi: *wears it* Is this fine?

After Aoi wear my Jacket and sunglasses. She looks funny as heck. Kinda cute too not gonna lie.

Aoi: How do I look?

Haru: Very goofy. Hahaha...

Aoi: Stop laughing.

Haru: I can't help it. It's really funny.

Aoi: Stop looking at me then.

Haru: Haha...we should probably walk faster now. Before it gets even more late.

Aoi: Ok!

We then continue walking till we arrived at the convenience store. Since Aoi has an advanced salary for 3 month. She decided to buy anything she wants. Since this is her first grocery after living somewhere else. She buys too many yogurts and some ice cream. Also many Avocado. She said it's her ultimate favorite thing in the world. While I only buy things that I really want.

After that I told Aoi to just wait me outside. She can just pay me later. So she goes outside and just stand there waiting for me.

2 minutes after Aoi goes outside. A guy suddenly approach her. I can see them talking because of the glass window. It's seems like they are having a quite long conversation. I also think they know each other.

Junya's POV

I am walking towards home when I saw someone familiar. So I approach her. It's actually Aoi.

Junya: Eh! Aoi?? What are you doing here? It's already late for you to be alone here.

Aoi: Oh Junya! Don't worry! I'm just waiting for my friend. He.... she's buying something inside. I decided to just stay here outside to wait for her.

Junya: But it's cold here.

Aoi: Don't you worry! I have this Jacket. It is very warm.

Junya: Woah!! That Jacket is too big to be your Jacket.

Aoi: Ah... I love big jacket like this. So I always tends to buy them.

Junya: Oh! That's cute!

Aoi: You can go now. My friend will be here in no time.

Junya: I can wait with you.

Aoi: Nah... Don't worry about me. I can handle myself ok?

Junya: Ok! Just call me right away when you need my help.

Aoi: I will! Just go! I'll text you later when I arrived home.

Junya: Alright!

I left after that. It seems like she's hiding something. She keeps wanting me to go. So I decided to hide just to see who's with her.

Little did I know... She actually just lied to me.

She's actually with a guy but not a girl.

I can't believe Aoi can lie like that.

I should probably move on from Aoi now. I don't think I stand a chance to that guy. He literally looks like the literal main character in every anime.

I decided to just pretend that I didn't see anything after that and just go home.

Haru's POV

I waited till the guy that is talking to Aoi left. I wonder who he is. He looks like someone Aoi knows. So I ask her while we are walking back towards our apartment.

Haru: Who's the guy with you earlier?

Aoi: He's the guy who help me get my job. Also my former classmate in High School. He is also the bestfriend of our boss Dan.

Haru: Really! What did the two of you talk about?

Aoi: Is it that important for you to know?

Haru: Well we live together. There will probably be a time where they would want to hang out with you in the house.

Aoi: Nah! That will never happen. I hate gatherings. With my friends or not. Crowded places is just a total no no for me.

Haru: Good! Because I don't want to be disturb while I'm home.

Aoi: Don't worry I will make sure of that. Wait wait! What about all your other girls? They might come and go in the apartment too.

Haru: Don't worry! I already told them we can only meet somewhere else.

Aoi: Good! We should probably hurry up now. I'm just so hungry now.

Haru: Sure!

We both walk as fast as we can while carrying all the things we buy towards our apartment. Until we are finally inside.

Aoi: *while holding her breath* I just realized how much I despised buying groceries. I'm literally out of breath now.

Haru: You need to like it since your living with me. Since I'm the one who always cook. So starting next week. You are going to buy our groceries every Sunday.

Aoi: No way...

Haru: If you really don't want to then, cook your own food.

Aoi: No freaking way... My cooking sucks.

Haru: Ok, your gonna cook your own food or buying groceries every Sunday. What do you prefer?

Aoi: I'm so pissed. I don't like both choices.

Haru: Well if you don't want to choose any of the choices. then, make sure you have a place to stay somewhere else after this month. Since you already payed me.

Aoi: .....

Haru: Just decide already. It's not that hard.

Aoi: Ok! I'll do the groceries..

Haru: Good!

Aoi: Can we eat now. I am totally starving.

Haru: Sure!

I boiled some water and put it in our noodles. We waited 5 minutes before eating it. It's just fine compared to my cooking but we don't have a choice since it's already too late to cook the food we want.

THE NEXT DAY...

Daiji's POV

Today, it is 3 days ago since Aoi and I talk. I don't know if she's going to show up so I decided to talk to someone else that I also know. Her name is Ikeda Gigi. She's someone that Aoi also knows. She actually like me ever since we're in Elementary School. Atleast that's what she told me. I also like her before but since I thought I don't have any chance to her. I just give it up. It all changed when we're in College though since that is where she told me she like me for a very long time. But, at that moment. It's already too late since I already like someone else and yeah the girl I'm talking about is Aoi. She's just something else.

Meanwhile, Gigi and i is at a restaurant near my company now. It's very cheap actually taste good. Gigi is so happy that she found a very cheap restaurant. She said she want to eat her again some other time. I'm just really glad she likes it.

Aoi's POV

I woke up early today since I decided to accept Daiji's offer to me 3 days ago. He told me he's always at the restaurant that Junya is working every morning. Since he loves the Coffee there. He told me he stays there 6:AM to 7:AM. He said he always woke up that early even on weekends.

While I was walking I noticed him while I am still far away from him but he seems to be with someone else. When I realized who's the person with him. I froze. It's Gigi. She's someone whom I can't compete with. So I decided to just listen to their conversation secretly. I hide somewhere they can't see me but I can clearly hear what they are saying.

Gigi: I can't believe you choose me.

Daiji: Well I know I can trust you. Your also so much better at your work.

Gigi: Of course! You know how hardworking am I. Meanwhile Aoi just got her first job.

Daiji: Yeah! I don't think she will keep her there for a long time though. Her Boss is my Rival and I know he's not someone who keep new Employee for even 3 months. He told me before. Only 2% of people he hires actually stayed in his company.

Gigi: Wow! I guess Aoi is in trouble.

Daiji: It's the only reason why I asked her to be my Fake Fiance. Because I know I can let her do whatever I want. Since she's such a kind person.

Gigi: She is too nice that's people takes Advantage of her too f*****g much.

Daiji: True! If only she's a little bit Aggressive.

Gigi: Right!

After this I just left without showing myself to them. I can't believe I even think of being Daiji's "Fiance". I guess I'm just someone who do anything for people who needs me. My day is automatically ruined. I go to work feeling so down.

Daiji's POV

While I was with Gigi. I realized Aoi blocked me on Social Media. She also blocked my number. I guess this is her way of saying no to me. I am devastated. Since Gigi is with me. I decided to tell her that stating tomorrow. She's going to be my "FIANCE" and I will introduce her to my parents. I'm very disappointed that I didn't get the girl I really want but in terms of look Gigi is definitely better so my parents is definitely gonna love Gigi. It's the most important.

AFTER 2 MONTHS...

Aoi's POV

Today is officially 2 months ago since I started working at Makino Management. It's my day off today. Since this is my actual first job. Our boss Dan decides to let me continue doing normal things for about 3 months before I actually started writing Biographies for deceased people. It's fine to me since I'm actually very nervous about it.

By the way, I still live with Haru. We're kinda used to each other now. He also never take his girls inside our apartment again because of what happened to him and Hikari. Hikari is still talking to me though since we're friends. She only comes over to the apartment when Haru is not around. She's a very fun person to be around. She has many stories to tell.

Today while I was at the mall buying something I want. I met someone unexpected. I decided to turn around before they noticed me but it's too late.

Cindy Masamune (One of my friend in Elementary): Aoi!?

I turned around slowly...

Aoi: Eh! Cindy! Is that you?

Cindy: Yes! Why are you here?

Aoi: Just buying something I want.

Cindy: Really? Why are you alone?

Aoi: My apartment is very close here. It's my first day off on my job today so I decided to buy anything I want.

Cindy: So your working and staying here? On your own?

Aoi: Yes! Totally alone. I decided to leave my family 2 months ago now. I just had enough. I still talk to my sister though.

Cindy: I'm sorry for what happened.

Aoi: It's totally fine. Getting a little more used to it now though.

Cindy: Then I'm really glad for you then.

Aoi: Thanks! But, Please! Don't tell my parents what city l live in right now. I don't want to see them come knocking my door one day.

Cindy: Don't worry! Your secret is very safe with us.

Aoi: Thanks!

Cindy: Your Welcome!!

Riku: (Cindy's Husband but also my former High School Classmate) I can't believe your actually able to be alone right now because I remember how you don't even wanna leave your seat in our school because you hate interacting with many people.

Aoi: Well people can changed.

Riku: I don't think you changed though. I viewed as you just leveled up yourself but your still the same person I know before.

Aoi: Yeah we're classmates before but we don't even talk to each other. Probably just a little bit in some activities.

Riku: Even if that's the case. Were still in the same room for 3 years.

Aoi: I guess so.

Cindy: I can't believe you guys is actually fighting about your past.

Riku: Not really! Just reminiscing I guess.

Cindy: Reminiscing about what? Riku? Is there something I didn't know about you and Aoi?

Aoi: Nah.. there is nothing between us at all. His just teasing you Cindy.

Cindy: I want Riku to answer that question to me.

Riku: Well....

*My Phone rings*

Aoi: *Answer the call* Hello!!

Airi: Hello Sis!

Aoi: Oh Airi! Why did you call?

Airi: I am looking for you in your company but they say your in your first day off. Where are you right now? Let's have a sister bonding.

Aoi: Of course!! I am here at the mall just near my company. Next to Starbucks.

Airi: Ok! I'll be right there right away.

Aoi: Sure! I'll stay here to wait for you.

Cindy: Ahmm Aoi! Riku and I should probably go now. My mom and my son is probably waiting for us.

Aoi: Sure!

Cindy: See ya Aoi!

Aoi: See ya!

Riku: ...

After Cindy and Riku left. I found my sister and we decided to spend our time together at the arcade. We have too much fun that we don't realized that's it's already 8pm. 1 hour before the mall will actually close and we just laugh it all together.

Airi: Sis! Today is so much fun. We should do it more.

Aoi: Sure! Why not? By the way, I forgot to ask you earlier. Is it your day off today also?

Airi: Our company is having a renovation right now. So I might not get my salary this month.

Aoi: I can lend you some money if you want.

Airi: Are you sure about that Sis?

Aoi: Totally! I just wanna help my little Sis since you already help me enough.

Airi: Stop making me cry Sis!

Aoi: Here! Take this!

Airi: Wait! 20 dollar? This is too much for me.

Aoi: Don't worry about it. It's some of the money I got from my part time job.

Airi: Wait! You also work part time job?

Aoi: Yeah that's why today is my first day off from both of my work.

Airi: Your amazing Sis! I promise to you. I will use this money wisely.

Aoi: Good to know.

Airi: I gotta go now Sis! Rei is waiting for me at the parking lot.

Aoi: Sure go ahead!

Airi: Bye Sis!

Aoi: Bye!

I decided to walk towards home alone after that. While I was walking. I noticed Daiji sitting in one of the bench that is in my way. In this hour. So I decided to go the other way but he saw me before I could run.

Daiji: Aoi! Please wait!

At first I hesitate to look at him but for some reason my feet stop walking on it own. I think it means I need to face Daiji. So turn around for him.

Aoi: What do you want from me?

Daiji: I just want to ask you something.

Aoi: About what?

Daiji: Is it true that you actually arrived in my favorite place at the 3rd day of our agreement but you decided to walk away because you saw that I'm with Gigi.

Aoi: Who told you that?

Daiji: One of my Employee.

Aoi: Nah! They are totally lying. I am at home all day at that time. I decided to blocked you to everything since I am not planning to meet you again at all.

Daiji: Oh... I'm sorry for believing what one of my Employee just told me. I am in shambles today just because of those words. Because I feel so guilty about it.

Aoi: Well you can breath normally now because it's not true.

Daiji: I guess so. I'm so sorry for ruining your night.

Aoi: Not really! Today is one of the best night for me. Me and my sister spend our day just playing in the arcade till 8pm. It's the best.

Daiji: I'm so happy for you then.

Aoi: I gotta go now. Someone is waiting for me.

Daiji: Who?

Aoi: You don't need to know. Bye!

Daiji:....

I walk as fast as I can after that. I felt kinda bad for him but whenever I remember what he says about me that day. I keep feeling the anger for him. On the side not. I wonder what Riku is about to say right before my sister called me.
