Chapter 3: My First Job

THE NEXT DAY.....

Aoi's POV

I am still in the Manga Cafe just because I still don't have time to look for a new place for me. Meanwhile my sister Airi blocked me on f*******:. I don't block her because I still wants to talk to her. But I guess that's not what she wants. So I just blocked her too.

I am quite sad right now because I really thought my sister will understand my decision but I guess i am so wrong at thinking she is different from our parents.

I really need to be in a good mood right now though. Because it's my first day in my Job. I am so happy I can finally have a money of my own. I hope my sister will decide to leave our parents too so that they will not be able used her money anymore. That's like the only thing I am worried right now.

I am now outside the Makino Management waiting for the door to open. Until I noticed someone. It's the guy from yesterday. The one who make the bullies stop from bullying me.

Aoi: Hi! I'm the girl you helped yesterday. Daigo Aoi!

Mysterious Boy: Oh! You passed here too?

Aoi: I turned down the other offer because the CEO is very rude.

Mysterious Boy: I turned it down too. I prefer the vibes here.

Aoi: Same!

Mysterious Boy: What kind of job offer the CEO is offering you.

Aoi: You don't need to know. It's very embarrassing.

Mysterious Boy: Please tell me.

Aoi: Ok since your a good guy.

Mysterious Boy: .....

Aoi: He offered me to be a Janitor instead of an office worker.

Mysterious Boy: Hahaha .....

Aoi: Please stop laughing. I told you it was very embarrassing. Because I never passed in the first place. One of the staff just accepted me because I'm interesting but the CEO doesn't like me at all. What I really want is to be an Obituary Writer.

Mysterious Boy: Obituary Writer!! You really are such a weird person. Hahaha...

Aoi: Hahaha...yeah! I am.

Mysterious Boy: My name is Kojima Haru. Nice to meet you Aoi!

Aoi: Nice to meet you too Haru! What a lovely name.

Haru: Thanks!

Aoi: Do you know I feel so satisfied and happy after all the boys and girls who bullies me yesterday didn't make it. Is it bad to feel good about it?

Haru: Definitely not. Just feel whatever you wanna feel. God is not gonna get mad at you. Because your just being true to yourself.

Aoi: Wow! You really have such amazing Word of Wisdom. You probably already experience many things in life.

Haru: I am!

Aoi: Now I'm kinda curious about it.

Finally it is now 8am!!

Aoi: s**t I am so nervous.

Haru: Don't be! Everything is going to be ok.

Aoi: I hope so.

*Inside the Makino Management*

Company Staff: Kojima Haru!! Please come here in the counter.

Haru is so damn calm.

Company Staff: The accounting section is at the 5ft floor. Someone is waiting for you there.

Haru: Thanks!!

Wow!! He's in the accounting section. He's definitely very smart.

Company Staff: Daigo Aoi!! Please come here!

Finally it's my time.

Company Staff: Your section is in the ground floor. It's the only room there.

Aoi: I figured much!! Hahaha....

Company Staff: Why are you laughing?

Aoi: Ah nothing!! ?

Company Staff: Ms.Aoi! They are waiting for you so you better hurry.

Aoi: Sure!!

Dan (CEO): WAIT!!

Company Staff: oh Sir!! Good Morning!!

Dan: Good Morning!!

Company Staff: What do you need Sir??

Dan: I need her.

Company Staff: Do you mean Ms. Aoi!?

Dan: YES!!

New Employee 1: Wow!! This is very unexpected.

New Employee 2: Yeah! She's not even pretty.

Dan: Stop talking about her like that please!! If you keep talking like that. I will both fire you right now

New Employee 1@2: Sorry Sir!!

Dan: Ok! Both of you is forgiven.

New Employee 1@2: Thank you Sir!

Dan: Your Welcome!! Now go to your respective jobs.

The two of them left after that. It seems like both of them is in the magazine section. It explains a lot. Hahaha...

Dan: Aoi! Come with me. Someone wants to meet you.

Aoi: Runa??

Dan: Yeah! I know I'm not supposed to tell her that your here but I just can't help it.

Aoi: It's fine! We will definitely gonna see each other anyways.

Dan: Ok! Let's go!

Aoi: Ok!

While both of us is in the Elevator. The atmosphere is very awkward. Then Dan says something all of a sudden.

Dan: Do you like Junya?

Aoi: Why asked all of a sudden?

Dan: Well I'm just wondering why the two of you is very close.

Aoi: I do like him...

Dan: eh??

Aoi: But... As a friend. He's just always very kind to me even before.

Dan: I get that.

Aoi: What do you mean?

Dan: Nothing!

Aoi: Ok! Your being really weird today Sir!

Dan: Am I?

Aoi: Definitely!!

Dan: By the way, Junya already have a Girlfriend. So I really don't want you to act very close to him. You also knows who's his Girlfriend. She is one of your classmate in Elementary.

Aoi: Is it Gumi??

Dan: How did you know?

Aoi: Well I know that the 3 of you is very close in High School.

Dan: We really are..

Finally we arrived to our destination. It's at the literal top of the building.

Dan: Let's go in! Welcome to my house!

Aoi: Wow! This is very cool and very spacious.

Dan: It sure is..

Runa: Wow!! Your actually here. Aoi!!

Aoi: Runa!! You literally leveled up. I can't believe it.

Runa: Your still the same though Aoi!

Aoi: I sure am hahaha..

Dan: Do you already find a new place to stay?

Aoi: Nothing yet since I don't have a time to look for a new place yet.

Runa: Where are you staying right now?

Aoi: At the Manga Cafe.

Runa: Definitely a place just for you.

Aoi: I know right? The only problem is the room is too small. But I really like it there and the rent is very cheap.

Runa: By the way, why aren't you not calling your family for help?

Dan: Runa!! Stop mentioning about her family. It's a very sensitive topic for her.

Aoi: It's fine Sir Dan! Ahmm.. my family actually disown me Runa!! They disown me because I'm ugly and useless. So now I don't have a choice but to find a job to take care of myself.

Runa: Awww... That is really messed up.

Aoi: It is definitely a mess.

Runa: Bye for now Aoi! (Garbage) Nice to meet you again!!

Aoi: Nice to meet you too Runa!! (b***h)

Dan: Aoi! You can go to the ground floor now. If your Section Boss gets mad at you for not showing up at time. Tell him I just borrowed you for awhile.

Aoi: I can't say that.

Dan: Why??

Aoi: Because it sounds like the two of us have a relationship to each other.

Dan: Oh s**t! I'm sorry about that.

Aoi: It's fine.

Runa: Just tell them we are both talking to you since we all have the same High School. Just reminiscing things together.

Aoi: Sure! Ok! I gotta go now.

Dan: Good luck!!

Aoi: Thanks!!

After that I quickly go to the Ground floor and tell to my section Boss what Runa told me to say and he actually bought it and forgived me right away. Then my job started as a coffee maker, documents printer and all the other basic jobs because I am new and to be honest I kinda prefer it this way. Even though I know it's gonna be an annoying thing to do.

Runa's POV

I can't believe Aoi is here and Dan seems to like her a lot even though they only met and talk for the first time yesterday.

I really hate her. I hope Dan fired her as soon as possible. If he doesn't want to. I will do my best getting her fired right away.

Dan: Runa! Can I ask you something?

Runa: You can ask me anything!

Is he going to proposed???

Dan: Can we let Aoi stay with us for awhile?

I freaking knew it. That girl is going to be our downfall.

Runa: Why do you want her to stay with us?

Dan: Since she's still technically homeless and needs somewhere to stay.

Runa: Don't worry about her. She will figure it out on her own.

Dan: Do you really hate her that much? I thought the two of you used to be friends?

Runa: That was in the past. We're like stranger to each other now.

Dan: Or is she always just a stranger to you?

Runa: What do you mean?

Dan: She told me yesterday that after you became popular in your class you stop treating her as your friend and bullies her instead.

Runa: No freaking way. She's lying.

Dan: Your not gonna be this defensive if she's really lying.

Runa: I swear! She's actually the one who bullies me.

Dan: Really? Please Runa! Stop being so narcissistic or I will call off our marriage.

Runa: Just because I bullied someone your gonna call off our upcoming marriage?

Dan: Oh! You actually admitted that you bullied her.

Runa: Who cares! She deserves it.

Dan: How dare you Runa! I can't believe this is actually the real you.

Runa: If you don't like it then it's your problem but we are getting married to each other whether you want it or not. Because my parents and your parents only believes in me.

Dan: Your the worst Runa!

Dan walk out after that. I think I hurt his feeling a lot. Just because Aoi existed. I need to find her family and tell them she's here all along.

Dan's POV

Runa is literally the worst. I can't believe I agree to my parents about this f*****g arranged marriage. I never even like her even before.

I hope Aoi finds a new place to stay as soon as possible. I wonder why I worry so much about her though.

Aoi's POV

It is now lunch break. I forgot to buy a bento box before going here. Probably because of how nervous I was.

Coworker: Where is your food?

Aoi: I forgotten about it because of how nervous I am earlier.

Coworker: Omg! Your so cute. You can have half of mine if you want.

Aoi: No Its fine!

Coworker: But you need food in order for you to have more energy.

Aoi: Can I go outside?

Coworker: Of course you can. You thought you can't go outside?

Aoi: Yeah! This is really my first time. Sorry!!

Coworker: hahaha.. Don't be sorry. Just go outside right now and buy your lunch before the time is up.

Aoi: Oh s**t! Thank you!

Coworker: Your Welcome!

Wow!! I can't believe my Coworker is very kind. Now I am kinda glad I found a job for myself. By the way, her name is Ichikawa Hikari!

I am now at 7/11 near our company. Thank God they have everything I want in it. I eat inside the 7/11 because I might not have time to eat it later. It was really good. 10/10 meal.

After eating I noticed many missed calls in my phone. I am so scared I thought my family found me somehow. Thank God it's actually just Daiji. I wonder what he wants from me.

After this I run as fast as I can till I arrived back to the ground floor.

Hikari: Did you enjoy your food?

Aoi: I enjoy it a lot. It's so good.

Hikari: Where did you eat?

Aoi: At the 7/11

Hikari: Oh yeah foods in 7/11 and even any other convenience store is really good.

Aoi: It is and it's way cheaper too.

Hikari: Definitely!

Then our job continues when our Boss Section is back. Overall my first day in my job is really good. I enjoyed it a lot. If only I could talk to my sister about it. ?

While I was on the way to the Manga Cafe. I met Haru again.

Aoi: Hello! Haru!! How's your first day at work?

Haru: Oh! Hello! Aoi! My work is pretty decent. How about you?

Aoi: I enjoyed it a lot not gonna lie.

Haru: Good to know.

Aoi: By the way, where are you staying?

Haru: In the apartment complex near here.

Aoi: Can I come with you? I am actually staying at the Manga Cafe right now. I am looking for an apartment to stay.

Haru: You can just stay with me.

Aoi: Eh....Are you sure??

Haru: I am! Are you scared of me?

Aoi: Definitely not but to be honest I'm quite nervous. Hahaha...

Haru: If you don't want to stay with me it's fine. To be honest I only want you to stay with me because I want to save some of my money. Because if we live together. Both of us will only pay half of the actual price.

Aoi: Now that you put it that way. I do want to save some money too. Can you still let me stay with you?

Haru: Sure! Why not. Now give me the half payment.

Aoi: Right now?

Haru: Yes! Because I just payed it full the other day.

Aoi: How much is it?

Haru: 100,000 Yen.

Aoi: Whoa!! That is a huge number.

Haru: That is like the second best amount. Because the lower the rent is the smaller the room. I am in a medium size Japanese apartment so I need 100,000 yen every month. The cheapest is 40,000 Yen.

Aoi: I guess I don't really have a choice. Do I?

Haru: Well I can help you look for smaller apartment if you like.

Aoi: No it's fine! I'm going to stay with you. Let's find the nearest ATM machine.

Haru: Sure!

After looking for about 10 minutes. We finally found the ATM machine. We are both new here so both of us still doesn't know the place much.

Haru: How much are you going to withdraw?

Aoi: 1000 Dollar.

Haru: What? I don't think your that Rich.

Aoi: I'm not Rich. This my salary for 3 months. Sir Dan gave it to me since he knows my Family Problem.

Haru: What kind of problem?

Aoi:... The only reason why I decided to work is because my entire Family disowned me. So I am working so I will not starved to death.

Haru: Oh!! I am so sorry about that.

Aoi: It's fine! I am actually happier here on my own.

Haru: I'm glad for you if that's really is the case.

Aoi: Thanks you Haru! You don't know how much you mean to me at this time.

Haru: What do you mean?

Aoi: It means because of you, I will probably stay at the Manga Cafe forever. Just because I don't actually know how to find an Apartment for myself. Since I am too scared to interact with other people. So what I really need right now is a friend.

Haru: Don't worry! Whatever is your problem. You can always talk to me. But only when I'm not busy though.

Aoi: Hahaha... Your so funny Haru. I appreciate it though. It's the thought that counts.

Haru: Thanks! By the way, what about your things in the Manga Cafe? You should probably get it now. I'm gonna wait for you here.

Aoi: Are you sure I can really stay with you?

Haru: Yes! I think having you in my apartment will make it more livevable because your such an unexpected person. There is no bore moment.

Aoi: I'm glad you actually think of me like that because my parents just hated me ever since I was born.

Haru: It's probably because your light is too bright for them to handle.

Aoi: Eh! What do you mean?

Haru: It means, they don't know how to appreciate you.

Aoi: I guess so.

Haru: You should probably go now. It's getting more dark now.

Aoi: Oh yeah right!

I run as fast as I can till I arrived in the Manga Cafe and then get all my things and pay the cost of me staying there. I then walk as fast as I can while pulling my luggages. Till I finally found Haru again.

Haru: Wow! Your so fast.

Aoi: Well, Since your waiting for me. I have to.

Haru: Let's go then!

Aoi: Sure!

While walking towards Haru's Apartment or our Apartment starting today. Haru decided to pull my luggages for me. I can't believe he's actually a gentleman. It makes me feel butterfly in my stomach for some reason. Haha... ?

Little did I know.... The apartment we are going to stay is owned by...
