Chapter 6

Zeus’ POV

-PRESENT TIME OF MEETING-

As an intruder was detected, I immediately made my way over to where the intruder was seen.

The night was dark and gloomy, but strangely I always found comfort in them.

Shifting and running at full speed to get there quickly,

I took a whiff of air and immediately realized that it was the most intoxicating smell I have ever smelt in my entire life.

‘Mate!’ my wolf howled.

Mind linking my pack fighters, I instructed them to not harm the intruder and if they find her they should immediately bring her to me.

“The last scent disappeared by the waters” My Beta trailed off.

“Okay, I’ll handle it. Thanks” I said and closed the link

I wasn’t prepared to meet my mate now due to certain circumstances in this world but I wouldn’t trade this for anything else.

Quickly making my way by the waters, I waited until her head popped out of the water.

Her eyes were surprised upon seeing me.

That makes us both, baby. I chuckled.

Shifting back to my human form I stood in front of her in all my glory quickly making my way behind the tree to wear some clothes.

I returned.

Seeing as her eyes were glazed over, I also took a minute to appreciate her.

I can’t see her form that well because she was still submerged in water.

“Mate, come here now” I started,

She reluctantly followed but her eyes flashed fiercely, certainly not used to being ordered around.

She went up cautiously, I took up this moment to appreciate her whole human form.

She looked ethereal, that’s the word to describe just how impacting and beautiful she is.

My eyes darkened and I instantly grabbed her by the arms.

Only to be burned in the process.

“f**k” I yelped out surprised.

An angel, she was an angel. Only Angels can burn demons physically and dissipate us by their blood.

What the hell?

“Follow me” I blurted out and turned away from her,

 I can hear her asking questions but I’m too lost in my thoughts to answer,

What kind of joke is this, the only person destined for me is someone I can’t touch without being burned badly?

Walking until we reached the packhouse, I led her straight to my room and pointed her to the bathroom and began laying out clothes for her to wear.

Let’s see if wearing long sleeves is going to work as well as some leggings…

Elkirah’s POV

What a weird mate,

He doesn’t want to touch me or anything after being burned earlier.

The packhouse was built like a whole-ass modern mansion, it was so big it stretched out through acres of land.

It was dark but the lights around it were enough to know that this place was well off.

My mate led me straight inside, the inside of the packhouse was like a hotel.

The one where you can take pictures in, it was so spacious and it gave off a cozy vibe.

I didn’t have much time to appreciate my surroundings as he led me straight to his room and pointed to the bathroom.

Shuffling my feet to go there to wash off all this dirt sticking on me, I made my way in it.

As my eyes adjusted to the lights being turned on, I quickly noticed that there's a freaking jacuzzi and bathtub all in one room, there’s also a shower room at the side which is covered with see-through glass which stretched out in the ceiling.

Making my choice to take a long bath, I quickly set the bathtub for it to be full.

I’ll take a shower for the time being,

I realized that I was tired already, my back hurts, and my legs are sore from all the running.

I wonder why the voices disappeared.

Sighing, I quickly reached for the soap and shampoo that’s already here.

This is what my mate uses so it kind of smelled manly but I wasn’t complaining. It’ll have to make do.

Finishing my shower, I submerged myself in the bathtub… closing my eyes…

I guess I kind off dozed off a little as I reopened my eyes.

I made my way to the cabinet to try and find some towels and found 2 so I dried myself and wrapped it around my body and hair and went out.

I noticed that there were clothes laid out on the bed so I wore that guessing that it’s mine to wear.

My mate burst out the bedroom door along with food in his hand.

“I love you already” I proclaimed, the thought of food making my mouth water.

He smiled and made kissy faces.

“ What if I put something in your food and made you fall in love with me harder?” He replied

“It’s alright I guess, we’ll see if it’s effective” winking at him and beelining for the food that he put down on the table I happily ate,

“Aren’t you going to eat with me?” I asked.

“I’m happy watching you eat and I already ate earlier,” He said

“ What brought you to our lands?”

“I’m the pack doctor at the White Pack, I ran here because I was being chased by demons that rose from the ground,” I said in between bites.

“What?” He looked at me bewilderedly.

“Yeah, our pack fighters are badly injured and some died, I had this weird dream that I should go out in the forest and wait for something to happen, and I did but that led me here. The voices were the ones responsible” I looked up at him to see his eyes glazed over, therefore I knew that he was mind linking someone.

“Do you want to rest with me on the bed or do you want me on the couch so that we’ll be separated?” He asked.

“Bed, can I hug you?” I asked

“Let’s try”

And that’s how the night ended.
